Glad to see the return of vehicles. Yes the pricepoint is $5 higher, but these don’t look like hollow, cheap junk that the last line of vehicles had.

Not sure what to make of that X-wing, and someone out there said the cockpit doesn’t even open, that’s weird. Hopefully it’ll be cool.

SW Command, this is… honestly, I don’t know what this is going to do. My instinct says it’s too far out of the play pattern that kids are looking for today, and stray from the Micro Machines / Action Fleet system that fans are looking for, and the pricing on the Falcon and Star Destroyer seem out of touch with reality, but they may cooler or larger than they seem in pics.

I’m excited for the vehicles as well – it’s nice to actually see new designs as opposed to the same stuff over and over. I really dig the design of the Phantom, as it truly looks like an unused McQuarrie or Johnston design. Hopefully they’ll bring out a Ghost to go with it a la the LEGO version. Not sure why the Inquisitor has to ride in a prototype of Vader’s prototype, but it looks fine. The AT-DP doesn’t seem to have much in the way of leg articulation but it’s pretty nice.

The X-wing is useless to 3 3/4″ collectors, so don’t bother. Jeff mentioned that it doesn’t have any figure compatibility, and the R2 in the cockpit was a bit bigger and out of scale with any previous astromechs. It’s branded in the “Hero Series” line, which is the same name given to the $10 cheapo 12″ figures, so it’s intended solely for kids; it might make a good display piece, but it’s not part of the 3 3/4″ line. I do at least like that some of the new 12″ figures will have more gear, like the Inquisitor’s Utapaun shield and Kanan’s Jango-style jetpack, but giving them the Mission Series name as well is just confusing the issue.

Command looks like the Unleashed Battle Packs, but unpainted. Even this line encompasses two different scales, so I don’t know how well it’ll do. It’ll probably burn out like Fighter Pods and Angry Birds, but I’m just happy not to see any of those here (though I did recently see a new round of ABSW Telepods multi-packs, so I guess we’re not out of this yet…)
