Please vote on the poll so we can finally convince SirSteve there's enough interest in this - the Playskool section was an experiment, it didn't get much discussion, so I think he's a little wary of such things right now. We must convince him that 12" needs its own unified - CS, AC, POTJ, Marmit, Saga, Masterpiece Edition - all in one forum section, so please vote.

Should I "stick" this thread at the top for a few days?

Just as long as it needs to collect the votes into the poll that will concince SirSteve to do the 12"-section.

I would suggest "stick-ifying" it.

Yeah, make it sticky, so more people can easily find it.

Vote is 33 for, 1 against, for those of you keeping track. Yay!

I know votes count...so he it goes.

I think 12" are Dolls...I don't like the Barbie like figures...I guess it is the mixture of plastic heads and fabric clothes...how about hair...does it have to be molded in the plastic like a ken doll?

I vote no...just because I would never visit it....sorry

Dolls are made with the single purpose of modeling doll clothes. They are given minute articulation so they can model clothes while sitting in a chair or in a dream car. The hands and feet of a doll are small and molded to droop at their sides.

Action figures on the other hand, have lange hands to hold stuff like machine guns and large feet to help with balance. The best figures have 30+ points of articulation to hold battle poses while knee-deep in the mud.

Barbie wears pink and comes with a hair brush. GIJoe wears camoflauge and comes with an M249 Squad Automatic Weapon. 12" SW falls under the GIJoe category. There's a world of difference.

I say "yes" to a 12" forum. I don't collect them but I'm sure the people who do would appreciate one.

. . .i was thinkin that since potj, all 3&3/4" figs have been released under a unified aegis regardless of their origin flick. so, while you're splitting the 3&3/4 from the 12" (which makes sense to me, since the appeal between the two strikes me as disticnt from one another), why not unify most or all post-'94 3&3/4" fig talk? for example, i started a thred called "non-completist collectors sound off" in the potj section & was thinking of adding to it the remark that r4m9, fx7, r3t7, ke jango and red cloney are the only figs i've really wanted to collect so far this year; but since the "hasbro saga" & "potj" separations leave me undecided where to resume said discussion, the separation strikes me as academic, impractical.
put it this way: does any collector out there actually regard potj 3&3/4"s as having more in common with potj 12"s than with saga 3&3/4"s?
i say That's the kind of consideration that should determine forum divisions :)

VT, post that suggestion in the Comments Suggestions section. It's been suggested before, combining them into "modern", but it didn't take then. Also, it's most likely that even if it did take, only the ended lines would get merged into Modern, so Saga would remain its own thing.
