View Full Version : Crap Accessories

The weapons that come with the new figures are weak. If you try to pose your figure with the Blast effects or Electro Effects, the longer weapons droop. Like Jar Jar's staff, Royal Gaurd's pike, and Preview Zam's rifle.

Get rid of the rubber and give us back plastic!

Anybody else have a problem with this?

Well if Hasbro is so concerned about not poking out kids eyes, then why don't they make the figures bigger. My point is that an arm or leg on one of these figures can poke out an eye just as well as one of their tiny weapons.

From the title of this thread I thought it was gonna be another one about the Clone Trooper's "stand". ;)

Hasbro has also said that with the softer plastic they can get more detail into the accessories.

I hate Yoda's force lightening w/rock. I finally get it set it up, then come back 10 minutes later and... droooooooooop - until it eventually falls off.

I hate rubbery weapons!!! I swear, if Hasbro doesn't fix the weapons soon i'll quit Star Wars altogether. The figs look terrible on display with those drooping weapons!!! My CommTech Stormie's rifle is always warping and my Battle Droids keep falling over when the temperature is hot!

I am paying $10 per fig so i demand some quality!!!

So you guys would rather have less detail?

Personally, I'd rather have the detail. But that's just me.

06-13-2002, 06:44 PM
What good is detail if the weapons are bowed and/or drooping? Seriously, I'lll take a pass on Hasbro's "detail" if it comes at this price. As for safety concerns - ha! Did kids suddenly become more prone to do this over the last 3 years? Damn this PC society we live in.

I don't mind the rubbery weapons and accessories to much but I don't like the fact that the hard plastic blast effects don't fit on all the sabers:frus:

What good is having a rifle with "more detail" if after a few hours it looks like a fishing pole trying to pull a 10 pound bass out of the water? This is how my Zam Wesell's rifle looks when the blast effect is applied to the end of it. And even when it's not on, it's still pretty crooked.

Endor Rebel Troopers rifle bends in all directions i put it under some heavy books and it flattened it right out.

06-13-2002, 07:15 PM
The figures and weapons look just grand to me inside the safety of the sealed cards.

06-13-2002, 07:18 PM
Exactly Tie Pilot! The long rifles always go limp...and that's no good. Very frustrating!
If they were thicker and harder I bet they wouldnt go limp!

When I look at the "Crouching Tiger" figures, I see how it should be done. Those figures look just like the actors, are highly articulate, and come with great detailed weapons/accessories. Even extra hands!

I'm still waiting for the viagara to kick in on my Amanaman's staff.

06-13-2002, 09:30 PM
My Amanaman's staff fell completely over and looks like the St.Louis Arch! pitiful!

I think the biggest part of the problem is the obsession with rubber bands. They think we're so incensed about displaying figs MOC that we'll sacrifice playability.

The solution? Eliminate the MOC stigma.

Most collectors open their toys anyway...

Well i just hate the crap it comes with such as force power or electro effect, why does jar jar need one come on, there's no reason for half the crap they come with.

06-14-2002, 09:29 PM
I don't see why some people make such big fuss about those blast- or electro -effects. Although they are included, you are not "Forced" to use them.

Heck, if you don't like them, send them to me!!!

06-14-2002, 10:30 PM
I have no problem with them except if you display your figures with them, they weigh the weapon down.

06-15-2002, 01:33 PM
I don't have any problems for the most part but Rogue II is absolutely right about Amanaman... That figure needs his ascessories in order to even stand. The limp staff makes it so he won't stand up. No excuses for a $16 figure (although I bought mine in the Target fire sale!)

06-15-2002, 01:45 PM
My dog will crap accessories from time to time. If a figure falls on the floor, and I don't catch it.....a days later.....and.....What? What did you say? They are saying the accessories ARE crap? I thought they were saying we should crap accessories. Well what do you know......

Move along......nothing to see here.......

Speaking of poking out eyes...how about those light sabers...kids could poke eyes out...stick then up their nose...choke on the mettal hilts...this is risk...Darwin was right.
