View Full Version : Another Poll: How many 12" S/W figures do YOU own?

JediWannaBe

So how many 12" Star Wars figures do YOU currently own??

AND, if you can, Please post some pics of your collection or a link to your web page.

My answer:

I just started 12" s/w after seeing Epi 2, prior to that I was an avid 12" Dragon WWII collector w/ apx 150 figures. Most boxed due to lack of display space (read:apartment and 3 women!)
After Epi 2 I did a deal for a major collection of apx 35 loose 12" figures. Since then I have bought/traded for about 20 boxed figs and 10 loose ones too. I plan to buy/trade for some type of display case to house these in soon. Pics to follow, sit tight.
I have the start of my WWII figure web page with a few pics, it has a space for S/W but its still under construction.

See: http://personal.atl.bellsouth.net/lig/b/a/barattit/Home.htm

BTW-On the WWII forums I go by "CajunGIJOE" thus the title...

129 figs for me. All are open and displayed in action poses. I'm still working on getting pics on my page, and will be happy to show it to all who wish to see it when completed. MR

I'm a 12" military collector too (but modern forces). But I start 12" with Starwars first and I currently have 60 figs open or boxed. Have 3 self customs (2 of them in Rebelscum's custom critique of the week previously). You can click on my link to check out the picts.

I have 82, but if you count the tauntauns, dewbacks, kaadus, then it's 86. All are opened. I think they are much more fun that way. :)

Like 70 or more SW figs, the pile of boxes is at least 3 deep and over 5 feet tall. (btw, I open all my 12" figs, but I don't have display space, so they mostly live in their boxes)

90. Mostly SW with several WW2 and misc. including the Monty Python knights. All but 4 are free from their plastic and cardboard tombs.

I just started with my first one, Jango Fett. As soon as I can find one, I'll have the red striped clone captain. I think that will be all I need for my collection, but we'll see what else comes out.

the 12" line is what I collect more than anything. I have to say I'm not too impressed with the E2 line though. Hoever that is off the subject. I have 72 figs. One of each of them opened and one of each of them in box. I looove them. So I guess that makes 144.

I think I have every Hasbro Star Wars 12? figure from the 90?s on up, with the exception of the EP1 electronic figures (too much plastic, not enough cloth), and I don?t have Ki-Adi or Luke on Tauntaun yet. Since I take ALL of them out of their packages, I have been collecting variations in figures but not packaging.

Below are two links to my office when I worked in the very cool E-Commerce division of an otherwise stodgy finance company. We have since been downsized in both staff and work space (read- I?m back in a cube again:cry:). The images were taken about a year ago, so they don?t have any of the newer figures. I am attempting to recreate the display at home, but space is minimal. The links are to QuicktimeVR Panoramas, so you will need the Apple?s Quicktime plugin for your browser, and they are VERY big files (1350K). Just a friendly warning about download times.;)

Enjoy!!:D

mini-rock, I just used those tracks you screw into the wall and then snap teh shelf support brackets wherever you want them. For the shelves themselves I used a combinantion of 8 in. and 12 in. deep fiberboard planks that were covered in a black plastic laminate. I got them in both 3 ft. and 4 ft. lengths and then staggered their heights to break my collection into smaller groupings. I got all the shelving stuff at Home Depot. It does get to be a little spendy in large quantities:( . Luckily I convinced my employer to pay for the shelves, and they just disappeared when I got moved out of my office and back into a cube:D

derek, I was used to the collection so I had no problem (aside from the ocassional daydream  ), but anyone else who came in was instantly derailed from any discussion of actual work :D . I found the effect quite to my liking :D

Every single one I wanted. And I wanted them all. And I'm an army builder. More than a dozen of Stormtroopers, half a dozen of Snowtroopers. Over 2 dozen Battle droids, not counting the half dozen Lego Battle Droids. All out of box. But: does it matter?

I have just one 12" figure...the Bikerscout on the Speederbike. It's the only one that ever looked like the movie version of a character. All the rest have heads that are way too big for their bodies. The likenesses in general are terrible. Besides that, at least early on, there were too many difficult to find exclusives that essentially made it impossible to have a complete collection.

I also have the 12" Biker Scout with Speeder Bike, it is one of my favorite Star Wars items.:)

I also have:
Maul with Speeder
Masterpiece Anakin
Defense of Naboo Qui-Gonn
Defense of Naboo Amidala
Coruscant Gown Amidala
Original Ep1 Darth Maul
Sith Lords 2-pack Vader and Maul
Bossk
AT-AT Driver
Death Star Trooper

and, my favorite figure of them all, SEBULBA!! Perfect likeness! Not too great for standing on his own, but he is movie perfect!

I know it is a small collection compared to others here, but I will try to get a picture up soon.:)
