You can see me firing (my rifle actually) on HBO Sunday nights (10:30 PST) on Christopher Guest's "Family Tree."

Tom's (the lead played by Chris O'Dowd) character is still in England at this point in the story. In mid-June, his character comes to the United States and meets me.

I'll teach him a thing or two about shooting.

2757427575Well, here I am about to start shooting.

Next Sunday, I will be performing in HBO's "Family Tree" mini-series at 10:30pm PST.

I am kneeling on the front line, awaiting orders to start firing on the Rebels who will attack our position on the fence.

Anyway, next week when the show airs, I'll try to capture some video so you can hear my speaking lines (and my gun blasts!) and post a link to it or something. At the very least, I'll have a lot more pictures.

I also think (think) that my non-disclosure agreement (for showing pictures I took myself on the actual set while we were filming) might be forfeit once the show is actually aired. But I'll be very careful about researching that. I got permission to take the pictures that I did from the director Christopher Guest himself.

Nice photo, sir!

I've been there twice and would like to go again. We are heading east next week end on vacation and I've been trying to convince Mrs. TI7 to make the stop. I shaved off the 'stache this morning, myself. No more no-shave rules for December, now.

Tycho
12-02-2013, 03:18 PM
I think I am going to shave my head on Dec. 8th.

I will immediately start growing my hair back, but this will be good as I've had a dry scalp.

My beard will go with my hair, but first I am going to try and take some pictures.

I want to do a "Captain Picard" bald crown in bloody coveralls with an axe set of photos first.

This is a character from one of my novels.

Will I have to pay for 2 haircuts?

The first one I'm getting only half-off (but I'm not talking about the price.

Hmmm. My clippers are for beard and mustache.

2 haircuts cost less than the price of good clippers.

Decisions. Decisions.

I will also need a make-up job to look like I'm 70 and I already have "whitener" for my beard (that goes on before the blood).

This is sort of like a "dead-yourself" thing from Walking Dead, but not exactly.

I also have to check my filming schedule and when they might have Star Wars screen tests out here. I will want my hair for that.

I want to play a Gungan in the new movie and at least I could say my hair was covering my big ears!

But seriously, all this is because I'm fighting a little bit of baldness, I fear. It's a spot about the size of a bottle-top or a quarter. But I've already been for treatment and have a topical and oral medication prescribed and it's already working.

I think one shave will just make it easier.

At the 100th anniversary event at a former Pacific Electric Trail train depot (currently being restored). It made the Mother Road Run in less than 66 parsecs. :p Also, I learned that the telephone at the depot was connected to the train's overhead power lines; to make a call, you had to stand on the special wooden floor boards or you'd be called up the heaven in a bolt of lightning!

I've been big on cross training in this training block leading up to my next marathon (May 3rd). "Only" three days of running but its been HARD running and on my cross day's I don't fool around much either regardless of if I'm snowshoeing, hopping on a bike (indoors for now) or on an elliptical.

Well, I'm impressed.

I'm a ball player and though we warm up, we're not endurance runners.

In my sport, the usual length of a run is a 90 foot sprint - but sometimes you have to run back to where you came from or some slobbering goon is going to try and touch you with a baseball.

Yeah, and other times you have to wait and watch a flying object to see if it bounces or lands anywhere before you can start running.

Then there's this guy in all black, and sometimes he tells you that wherever you ran, you didn't get there! Then he makes you go and sit down.

To a person who doesn't know much about my sport, it would seem that we make a mighty strange effort at trying to be runners ;)

My friend Kim and I are a publishing team. You can also view about a third of our cast in the large panoramic picture where I'm at the card table in the casino set.

Had great book sales my opening weekend, too!

(My paper print books are available on Amazon) but Kim had an e-commerce Square device and e-books are super popular now.

So I said, "You want it on your Kindle or your coffin?"

And our emcee announced my new novel release every time I was up to also demonstrate my sharp-shooting (I defeated both Pepsi and Coke cans) - in addition to playing the bad guy from my novel and robbing the bank, stagecoaches, other cowboys I killed, and wait a minute...the sheriff might read this. Josh, your beard looks grayer then mine!

I need to get to where I can afford that "Just For Men" thing. But it's gotta be hard to match blonde hair since my hair on my head is NOT graying, but my beard is.

I had a friend say it looks cool though. I disagree but I've never used hair coloring. I'm afraid it will become an expensive maintenance thing.

Besides that, when I put my cowboy hat on and hide my hair, I can look much older as a weathered roughneck gunslinger - which is sometimes useful.

Now if I shave the beard, I look 10 years younger. Not my first move for right now though.

On my recent roadtrip, I visited a couple CA Star Wars-related areas: the ILM Letterman Digital Arts Yoda fountain in San Francisco and George Lucas Plaza in Modesto.

...and George Lucas Plaza in Modesto.

Where were you in '62?

I was concerned about the War Between the States that was going on longer than expected, but passing the Pacific Railway Act meant we could get from coast to coast easier and faster soon.

Not too easy to see it behind me in the pic, but the Special Olympics World Games that will begin this week in LA had a ceremony with the flame in our town. It was a really nice event, and the rain kept away for the perfect amount of time.

TeeEye asked where I was in 2062.

Well in 2062 I was a senior citizen and an inventor in Southern California.

I created a time machine and an anti-aging device to return me to my 30's in the early 21st century so I could pick up on younger girls again and collect more Star Wars action figures.

Sadly, Transformers has gone downhill by this point in time and the robots turned into the Flintstones for purely nostalgic regions and an ill-conceived cross-licensing agreement. So the 110 year old Michael Bay said this one will be his last Transformers movie. After some 20 more films, the industry was also depleted of pyrotechnic supplies anyway.

But please don't ask me to reveal the plot details of Star Wars Episode 29. Since I came back, I'm getting that all the time. You won't understand it anyway without knowing the context of Episode 23 which was released by Disney-China in 2049. I'm only going to say that they exhumed Christopher Walken again and reanimated him for the role, but his acting came off as rather stiff.

However, just a heads up warning, by then Hasbro-Cola company has also changed the size again to 9 and 7/8" figures just so they could sell us a compatible JarJar Binks figure again. Your great-grandkids are going to kind of like him.

Since the Special Olympics was nearby (in the LA area) and based on the fact that I did not go see any events at the 1984 XXXIII Olympiad there :( I wanted to see at least one day of activities. Saw a basketball game (a close 3-point win for Macedonia over Uruguay) and some athletics (a.k.a. track and field) of long jump and walking. Great job athletes!

Cool! You can't even see the selfie stick! :)Man do I hate the word 'selfie' and I generally hate the idea.

Person 1) Hey, how about I take a really terrible picture of myself?!?!
Person 2) I could take your picture, it'd turn out and look good.
Person 1) Nahh that "uncomfortably close look" is what I'm going for!

In travelling solo a few times over the years, with decently-long arms, I used to take "pictures of myself" (I rarely use the 'S' word now, never did before, of course) all the time. Most don't look too badly either (especially if you keep your arm out of the shot).

This is a picture from early in the day of the second day of Relay. I'm flanked by two of my team mates from team "Imperial Walkers". I was to worn out to get dressed up in my Tusken Raider outfit. The shirt I got from my step daughter as a fathers day gift.

BobaFrett, this is a perfect illustration of your multiple personality disorder. It is a symbolic picture of you being trapped between a chaotic nomadic life and the relentless rigidity of the New Order.

I struggled with something similar to this myself. For a long time I was sniffing newly opened mint Hasbro action figures and while I was intoxicated from this I used to think that I was a Mouse Droid and I....

SQUEEK - WHISTLE-WHISTLE-BLURT-BOOP-WHISTLE-SQUEEK-SQUEEK....

am perfectly normal now.*

Don't worry. It's totally recoverable.

*Hasbro's distribution problems and lack of commitment to new production has all but eliminated my easy access to a supply of fresh minty Star Wars figures to smell.

-But a sincere thank you for all the wonderful charitable work that you do!!!

Isn't that the truth. You were supposed to bring me a sandwich. Instead you disappear for five years and when you finally do show up you still don't have my sandwich.
