Kidding of course (the girl in the Leia outfit is hot though, I'm not kidding). Looking good there LIMP.

Not knocking any service men, but why do you guys where your uniforms to weddings?

Slicker
05-25-2005, 01:54 AM
The reason I wore mine is because I don't have any other dress clothes, my friend in the Air Force was wearing his, and I think the only way I could get into the wedding was to wear the uniform.

The real reason I think is as a show of respect. They can also be worn at funerals.

um when did canada become international? it's like attached to North America, same damn continent. or is there some imagined ocean between the two? maybe acid traps and country wide divider wall topped with electrified razor wire and anti personell missile launchers atop checkpoint towers and like stuff...?

What do i know i live on an island. we have insane Europeans across the water from us. Sometimes i kinda wish they could just tow the UK out to warmer seas and out of harms way... or just sink it.

So far anyway. Eh?

Jargo

I still don't get it.

I'm fairly interested in how the earh will look when the next big tectonic shift happens. Like, will south america split away from the north and will britain be pushed off the atlantic shelf by europe, and will the oceans push up any new lands. I mean we know that the americs were once attached to Africa and so on but where next on the tectonic migration? and won't it be a buggar for air traffic contollers when all the flight paths move....

y'know i still remember maps with all the british regions being pink.

and intercontinental sounds like a posh hotel breakfast.

At Frey's Electronics, did anyone see "Star Woids" for sale? Anyone buy it?

Christie (Slave Leia) made the cover. I was caught a little by surprise. I wonder how many of us are on that DVD? It was filmed at C3 for the most part I think.

Well, the original "film" came out a few years ago so there is no C3 footage on that but since this is the Special Edition and there is a section on Slave Leias then they very well might be adding new footage from C3. :)

I know you don't have tons of free time Frett, but you should definitely watch that entire film when you get a chance.

One of my favorite movie quotes is in Happy Gilmore and I use it almost daily. "Gold jacket, green jacket." For those of you who know or have seen the movie, you should know the line that follows. If someone says something that is blah, I'll just say those 4 little words.

Sorry Wildcat, I forgot to include you in the list of Zombie fans. My bad ! :(

There were tons of other cool folks at that show too, including Nathan Fillion aka Mal Reynolds from Firefly/Serenity who was there with people like Michael Rooker (a very drunken Rooker, I might add :D ) to promote the new flick Slither. The pics of Fillian and Rooker are awesome/hilarious.

The thing about Romero is that it is was the second time I "met" him at a convention, the first time being for a Day of the Dead reunion in 2004. However, they were moving the line along so quickly that we could NOT get pics with George. But I got him this time, I was not going to be denyed twice. ;)

I heard several good things about Slither from the other patrons - they did a free screening down the road that night but I didn't go as I had other stuff to do (like the Romero signing) but I will definitely pay to see it in a few weeks. They handed out DVD EPKs with the trailer and a behind the scenes doc, it looks great. If nothing else, it's got a great cast so that will help.

Oh my God! I'm LMAO Tycho! I'm just recovering from a really nasty flu, and I really needed a good laugh like that! Ironically I look about the same in my Stormtrooper armor. Who you calling "Scruffy Dude"?

Just wait another couple of months when my hair gets longer, and I won't be able to visit my dad without getting a lecture about needing to cut my hair. :D

Caesar, the dude you borrowed the blaster from might've had dark hair like Han, but he was dressed as Luke Yavin Ceremony. You should know that! ;)

I bet he's got a bada55 grill in there, too.

Here's a pic (http://myspace-180.vo.llnwd.net/00868/08/11/868801180_l.jpg) of me and my twins. It's alot of work, but it's worth it.

My wife gets mad at me whenever that picture pops up somewhere, because I say in my best Brian Fellow voice: "Ugh! Why that baby got two heads?!"

I did not realize you were in that particular line of work. You probably should not brag about it. It is illegal in most states, you know.

WHOOPS ! I meant Luke, Tycho, the pic I took BEFORE that was with a Han Solo guy. Understandable confusion. :D

KH, I was not actually goosing Venom but with that look on his face I thought it would look funny if I pretended to grab some A...and the angle of the shot was perfect for that !

As for not smiling with my teeth, f*** the lot of you.
My whole life I've heard crap like that and people are retarded for asking, why the f*** do they care anyway? I'll start a new thread to vent about it. ;)

I dont know, a friend took it from my myspace pic and applied it to the holographic hood, go see! Maybe I was trying to be mean and scary looking like how you try to be with your posts. I have a couple other pics that I smile in though and my teeth are nice and clean and all present.

Sean - are you trying to audition as Castro's replacement with that hat ? lol

It's the only hat I own, and indeed it is known as "The Castro" in my family circle. Sadly, I got that hat at the GAP forever ago. I only bought it becuase it fit my deceptively large head, and it was on clearance for like $3. My wife was with me, and really urged me to do it because she thought I needed a hat for some reason. It's really nasty, because I wear it out to work in the yard, and of course I never wash it. My girls make me wear it more often than I would on my own, so on weekends, I'm commanded to "Put on Castro, Daddy!"

I've had the thing for years now, and it occurred to me a couple months ago that I may have to replace it some day. I've looked in a few stores and online, and I've realized that my hat is actually pretty unique. Regular military issue "pillbox" hats are far more boxy and angular, as where my hat is slightly rounded, and more casual looking. I found a few designer pillbox "Castro" hats, but they're too expensive and usually have some goofy logo on them.

They turned 2 this past March. Don't worry about the sleep thing. I eventually learned to "will" them to sleep at the same time. I also learned how to perform nightly baby duties without actually waking up.

I like your chest/lap technique. I oughta dig up some of our old pictures of me holding the girls in crazy ways. I was a big fan of the double football hold. I also made good use of the double Baby Bjorn.

Don't worry about the sleep thing. I eventually learned to "will" them to sleep at the same time. We're getting better at that. They're sleep is almost synced with ours (10pm-5am)
I also learned how to perform nightly baby duties without actually waking up.I wake up, I just tend to fall asleep while feeding them. I "woke up" (I dozed off for 5 minutes. I don't completely suck as a parent) the other morning and Hayden (with an empty bottle in his mouth) was giving me the biggest "WTF?!" face.

I like your chest/lap technique. I oughta dig up some of our old pictures of me holding the girls in crazy ways. I was a big fan of the double football hold.I think mine are still too small for that. I have no problem with one, but I always feel like I'm gonna break 'em if I try and grab them with just one arm/hand.
I also made good use of the double Baby Bjorn. My wife and I each have a single. Those things ROCK. I can do dishes and make the bed without feeling neglectful. The only issue I have with them is that they make you sweaty as all hell whereever there's contact, especially the straps that go under your armpits.
