Yes. Post 'em if you've got 'em.

Anyway, I'll start. Here's me--most have seen this already--it's my boys' state picture from the first week of this month. I'm the 4th guy from the left:

Jargo

Closest you're gonna get is my current avatar.....

SirSteve said that he's waiting for the latest version of the forums system to be updated because the last update didn't include the profile picture feature unfortunately. But some folk were posting god knows what in their profiles and that was against the terms of use. Simple rule - if it aint you, don't upload it. That's all it was.

Well Jargo is that you in your avatar?

I like the one he had in earlier, with his dog.

As for me, look no further than my avatar - man, I look good in sunglasses.

What? I don't think you're Rick McCallum...

I'm pretty handsome too...:D

And that's what Jargo looks like? I always thought he was a chunky fellow with coke-bottled glasses, 40 years old with a boyish face!

you are referring to the group photo with about 100 guys in it, right? 4th from the left has a logo over his head.

so what did you learn at this camp? i just read their "mission statement" and according to it, you should have learned to be a moderate, taking a little from the socialist plate and a little from the capitalist plate. bob dole(and vulcantouch) would be proud;)

Damn, look at that Sir Steve figure. It's horribly pre-posed, looks like a massive lack of articulation, no knee joints, and the blaster is really out of scale. I bet the hat isn't removable either. And I just know that mine is gonna have a sloppy paintjob too. And look at all that wasted bubble space. They could have atleast packed in a holographic JediTricks. :crazed: :D

Here's a pic of me, used to be up in my profile. I'm the guy who isn't Dio. I'm kinda sweaty in the pic- it was like february and I was in Toronto, standing in a record store for an hour in a parka..
It was taken in 97 or so, but somehow I lok younger now, thanks to the magic of grooming- I'll put another up later, to show the "current" mabudon.

Tycho
06-29-2002, 10:43 PM
Whoa! That's pretty good work there Basker!

The larger image (or I mean the carded figure) really looks like an action figure of you. (it seems blurred and less detailed than the same image of you on the movie sticker). If that was an effect you were going for intentionally, great editing job!

I know I have already posted a pic of myself, but I just came across another one of me. I wanted to share it with you all.
This one is from about one year ago. The guy on the left is a DJ at 96 Rock here in Raleigh. I ran across him at the ESA at an arena football game.
The funny thing is this was the biggest I have ever been. After quitting smoking food tasted so much better.....glad I have trimmed down a bit since. Enjoy.

Jargo
06-30-2002, 02:21 PM
It's called Moelfamau, I just looked it up. it isn't actually a huge mountain, more like a huge hill that's a baby mountain. Feels like climbing Mount Everest though. On a clear day the view from the top is just breathtaking. There used to be a parking lot halfway up with no guard rail and this one time my dad drove us all up there and the car slipped in the mud and half went over the edge. kinda weird how all us kids got out of the car and watched as my mother and some passers by tried to haul the huge car back from the brink. My dad was the palest I've ever seen anyone go. grim determination and knuckles whiter than bone gripping the steering wheel. Mud flying from the rear tyres as they churned the ground into trenches. Luckily someone turned up with a rope and pulled the car back but it was quite exciting.

From where I live it's like a five minute car ride into Welsh territories and signs that read like a dyslexic's gone mad. arrows pointing to places with names like 'Nantydrsyliad wrllg' or 'Rhosslcwyss Fforddfechan' :) My Mother's fella is welsh and speaks the language. The only two words of Welsh I know are Toiledau and Parcio. As long as you know where the toilets and the parking lots are you're laughing. :p

I just found a place in Wales on the map called 'Golly' :D next time I'm out that way I'm going there. Just to see what 'Golly' looks like..... :crazed:

I've got a roll of film waiting to be developed, I'll have to see if there's a shot of me on it. Gota be better than that mountain photo. Jeez I'm so vain! :dead: :D

Jargo

Pedigree Black labrador. Name of Buster. 3 year old. Neutered.....
Partly trained by yours truly to be a guide dog for the blind, failed on health grounds due to arthritis of the elbows and a food intolerence. Now home with me for good. YAY! :D Buster is a ldies dog and prefers blonds. Is not afraid to look up skirts and will be your friend for life if you tickle his belly. Soft as they come Buster has a velvety soft coat which is actually Ebony rather than true Black. Thus indicating that his parents were Golden labrador or mixed coloring. Buster is a perfect companion, guard dog, protector and cat chaser. He likes to recieve mail from other dogs with pictures if female, for his personal wall of hotties, or even male, so he can size up the opposition. mail can be sent to buster-dog@lineone.net or you could visit Busters website here: Buster's dogpile (http://website.lineone.net/~buster-dog/dogpile.index.html) his website is in a bit of a mes right now but he hopes to update it very soon....

But I like the picture of Emperor Jargo's dog! Very nice!

Neighbors of mine, when I was a kid, had a black lab named Petie.

Like Peter, for it was a boy.

He was great fun to play with as they often lent him to me since he got along great with my terrier Barney.

I am also a cat person and since I live in an apartment now, I don't have a yard and I'm not home enough to let a dog out, I have 2 very nice all-black cats, twin sisters since I can only tell them apart by voice and personality. I've had them since they were babies.

But Jargo's dog there looks like a great pal!:)

Everyone play nicely. I was glad to see pics of many of the people I've spent many months (or longer) talking to in these threads.

But insult of all insults? What is with The Mouse Droid?

You mean you don't actually know, after how many times I've been trying to tell you to just TRY sniffing the Mouse Droid?

There are 129 posts about it in the Power of the Jedi section!

Darth Mouse even has his own band put together in this forum in the SickNTwisted Action Figure Theater Thread! (Mousy and the Sniffers for those of you who weren't notified of their first album release "Opened Up Fresh.")

You know, I'm totally willing to bet that so many of you are actually going back to your R4M9 figures and finding that little mouse and giving it a try and just not telling anybody about it now....

I know what I started! The Cult of the Mouse!

We have a Sniffers Anonymous group that meets in the POTJ section and Hasbro has actually been made officially aware of our prescense in their customer base.

LOL - we had one poor fella get caught by his wife with a mouse shoved up each nostril! (the club offers tips as to how to make a harness so you don't have to use your hands)

But in all honesty, this whole thing got started because once, perhaps in our old forums format, I saw somebody post a question asking who sniffs their new action figures?

The responses were funny as heck and so many people related to it! I can't take credit for being "the first prophet that started it all"

But I related: I mean remember how dittos smelled before copiers were standard in schools? How about new books? They have that brand new smell, right? New cars?

Well action figures use all the senses to fully appreciate them as well. You TOUCH them to study and utilize the articulation. You LISTEN to them, if they beep, click, spring, or snap. You LOOK at them when you bring them close to your eyes to examine the sculptor's and painter's details. And since hopefully all your noses are close to your eyes, you undoubtedly will at some point SMELL them!

We've identified that the only scent left to use when experiencing new action figures is TASTE. And we're waiting for results from those who eat their action figures, however most have died because they've had the "No choking hazzard Sticker" variations when they've tried this, and Hasbro strongly discouraged people from eating their action figures when I had the chance to question the panel on the matter live at the Celebration forum.

**Snicker, snicker, snicker. Lots of laughter from everyone on that, AND when I asked them about the Reek's anatomy :D **

Who says you shouldn't have a little fun? We're grown adults (or at least look like them) collecting toys for kids ages 4 and up. I for one haven't changed one bit since I was 4 (save for my height) - and that's proof that sniffing your figures will not stunt your growth!

Last but not least: why the Mouse Droid? Sniff it and you will find out!

Hasbro specifically answered they are not toxic and have been safety-tested

Thrawn,

you met Malcolm McDowell obviously. How was that? I didn't know you were a fan.

Forgive me, but now that it's more than obvious I'm a little ignorant about some things, I only know McDowell from StarTrek: Generations. Did you like his work in that film?

I've also heard of Clockwork Orange, but never had the time to see it.

What else has he done, and what do you recommend?

Just the FAQ's please ;)

Not really, I'm always up for a good joke. The whole thing is just getting played out a bit. I did actually find out what the problem was: for some reason the images were being saved as BMP files and not JPG files. The difference you ask? About 15 minuites longer to upload each pic on to my web site. I am going to scan a bunch more pics after work and then some time tonight I'll post the link and you can eat your words. Well as long as it doesn't get to ya too much.

It wouldn't be the 1st time I've mistaken a man for a woman.

When I worked the Maplewood Mall on the slow days we would stand at the front of the store and watch the women go by, and on more than one occasion one of us would point out these tall, long blond haired women with tight jeans, and from the back it looked pretty good, till the DUDE turned around!!! Damb those 80's rockers...but we got a good laugh outta it.

My friends one night at a bar, brought this attractive brunette over to me while I was playing darts. And this brunette has about 5 other women with her. Well I found it odd that my friends would give this one to me, since normally they try to steal them away or keep the good looking ones for themselves.
To make a long story short I was skeptical, and good thing...it was a professional cross dresser who just finished a job.

So its all in good fun, and if ya can't get a laugh outta it, what good it is. My motto is, "If I can't be the sexy one, might as well be the funny one."

Yeah...a good friend of mine is tall, sort of skinny, and he has long blonde hair that he often wears "down". This was back in high school. One day I'm walking down the hallway with a female friend of mine, and I see the aforementioned friend ahead of us...my female friend notices something on the back of his shirt, and goes, "Look at that girl's shirt." I recognized my friend and went, "FORD!" (we used to yell out each other's last name in order to get the other person's attention) He turned around, and my female friend was like "Oh crap....I seriously thought that was a girl." My buddy never took any offense though.

GOD NO! I do have some sense of colour cordination! I was a severe old school club Goth/Punk for a long time, but then got bored with it and started doing strange things like wearing pajamas in public all the time and going to nice resturants in a dress suit with a halloween tiger's tail hanging out the back. Anything for a good laugh. I really only dress up when I go out clubbing anymore. I've become lazy in my old age. I still wear my fuzzy bedroom slippers when I go to the store once in a while.

I heard Dance of Death with Helen and Ian McKellen was rather good; I didn't get to see it though. I don't know you, Thrawn, but I instantly have respect for you knowing that you have good taste in both actors and women. :D

I heard about No Such Thing, but I never saw that it was playing in any theatres. Did it see limited release, or something? Apparently the movie involves some girl and a monster, and Helen plays (I think) an American TV executive who wants to create a star out of the monster.

Here's MOUSY & THE SNIFFERS first album debut: (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/forums/attachment.php?s=&postid=105109)

And of course, this story about rivalry within the band on the dawn of their initial formation (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=115407#post115407)

And you might have seen this Promo for "Opened Up Fresh!" (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=105109#post105109)

Other than that, you're pretty much caught up to date. A more in-depth interview with Rubba Core from the band is forthcoming, as well as other interviews possibly being scheduled as there is demand.

That pic's about a year and a half old, e-Jargo. It's from either late last October or early last November. I'll try to find the doctored picture, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. I'm not even sure if I have a copy anymore.

DeadEye

Which figure(s) does the mouse droid come with?

Tycho
07-03-2002, 07:58 PM
The Death Star Droid (1998 Freeze Frame) for a Mouse Droid that is slightly aged like a vintage edition.

and

R4-M9, (2002 POTJ) for a seemingly newer, more rubbery, yet more potent smelling pvc plastic.

In studies I've conducted opening several of each type in a closed room with deliberately inadequate air circulation and with a wet towel over my head, face very close to the blister card when it's initially unsealed mind you, I noticed there is a difference in the scent of the two Mouse Droids.

I recommend the more recently available one with R4-M9 over the Death Star Droid.

Others have concurred with my findings as well.

Dar'Argol would make a good Qui-Gon Jinn.

Should we all chip in and get the man some Jedi Robes?

Actually, he should seriously consider betting on the Podraces. We all know how Qui-Gon outfits himself for missions.

Then he can afford the Master Replica to finish off his wardrobing.

HA ha!!:D I've thought about that Tycho.

I do want to make some robes. . . . . just need to find the right material, and the money:rolleyes:, and the time:rolleyes::rolleyes:.

Here's what you do:

When you get off work,
Grab a Brown Bathrobe (or dye one brown)
Grab a Gillette Women's Razor (the curvy ones with the "hand-grip" or whatever in the center)

Paint the Razor black then put glue gold knobs on it for a Jedi Forum Communicator, then put two buttons on it, one saying "Move" and the other saying "Close".

Voila, Master Argol!

Thanx for the help LTBasker, but if I do this, it will be right. I'm particular about details. I will have a complete Jedi costume. If I'm gonn do it, its gonna be done right.

Besides, I say 2 "kids" (around 14-15) at the midnight showing of AOTC in brown bath robes, brown dress slacks, white t-shirts and sneakers and it looked really really bad. If I'm gonna be a freak, at least I can be an acurrate, good looking freak!!:crazed:

I picture Jarjar being in one of those clinical type environments with a bank of monitors in front of him and all the monitors show different websites that he uses to post all the information. he has a sort of neat and tidy dark suit on and perfectly manicured hands. his head is forever shrouded in mysterious shadows. he sits in a huge leather chair with a massive control console in front of him and a small chihuahau Chihuaahuaha Chiawowa yappy dog on his lap. Sort of james Bond baddie style if y'know what i mean. ;)
