It could be likely that we will reach the 400 figures mark either by the end of this year or early next year, if Hasbro where to make a big deal out of it like they did with 300 what do you think they would make as a spaecial figure?

06-29-2002, 04:04 PM
Even going by Hasbro's silly numbering method (Don't get me started on that), they should reach 400 sometime early next year. I doubt that that Hasbro will bother to commemerate the 400th figure. I wouldn't be suprised to see somthing big for the 500th figure though. :)

i don't remeber them ever doing that for 200 or 100...maybe it's a 300 figure thing...so maybe we get something big for 600...

06-29-2002, 04:26 PM
Well, they never considered trying it, until after they did it to the Batman line. The 100th Batman figure from 1996 sold like hotcakes, so they did some ingenous counting and released Boba Fett as the 300th figure.

And then in 2000, they also did a 200th edition Batman figure. So maybe Hasbro has somthing up it's sleeve for the 400th Star Wars figure. Geez, 200 figures of just Batman. And I thought Hasbro did alot of Maul's, Obi's, and Qui's. :D

Imagine.....if they can do 200 Batman.....how many Tatoonie Luke's can they make?

06-29-2002, 05:00 PM
i remember them doing sumthing for the 200th and 100th but it wast as big aas the 300th one...hmm possible a special darth maul for # 400??

CC, they never did anything for the 100th and 200th Star Wars Figures. The 100th figure according to Hasbro was Han Solo: Carbonite in the vintage line. And the 200th was Mara Jade in the POTF2 Expanded Universe line. Of course, Hasbro really fudged the numbers to come up with that. :)

Nah, it'll be something that we've all been asking for for ages like............................................um .................................................. .........................ah....................... ....................hold on............................................oh yeah that's it LUKE JEDI!!!!!!!!!

06-29-2002, 05:24 PM
I could've sworn with the 52 figures this year, and 48 of the 57 POTJ figures (Counting both Biker Scout variants) that would make an equal 100 more. Don't remember when 300th Boba Fett came out though.

06-29-2002, 05:55 PM
And the 400 count doesn't include pack in figures or deluxe figures or 2-packs or cinema scenes or stuff like that. Count all those in and what number are we at now? Realistically speaking and not conveniently speaking for the sake of a promotional effort

For a 400th figure I'd like jabba the Hutt the ultimate ROTJ edition. A remake of the vintage Jabba with all the trimmings. Right size color and grossness. Throne pipe and bowl and frogs.

That's what i want for the 400th figure. :D

Teemto Pagalies will be the 176th figure, do you think that Hasbro could make another 14 before the end of the year, oh and the 300th was out in November 2000.

06-29-2002, 06:11 PM
If Boba fett was 300th how can Teemto be the 176th? :D retro counting. :crazed: And it would be another 24 they'd have to make if you're right, to get to the 400th.
I don't know, I never bother counting anything. All i do is buy the figures. I don't care if it's a celebratory or not. If the figures good - I'll buy it. :)

I agree with Emperor Jargo that Jabba should be the 400th figure but i wouldn't mind a Luke Jedi with Soft goods either or maybe a Queen amadella 8 pack with her and most of her costomes that would be cool and would get most of her sculps out of the way.

So far we have never had a single Jabba figure they have all been "beasts".

06-29-2002, 09:04 PM
But, jabba is not a beast of burden and not a beast of attack or of predatory nature like all the other beasts. how he can be classified as a beast when he speaks is beyond me. Jabba is just a very large character. A core character. he'd need a bloody big package to hold him but he could and should be released as a 'basic' character but given the four star treatment like Boba was. I mean c'mon - Boba just says five lines in the whole saga and compared to that Jabba does a monologue of epic proportions! He has tons more screen time and he plays a far more important role. If we can get Ephant Mon who is huge and has no lines then we should get a 400th figure celebration Jabba.
Without the silly swishy tail but with bendy tail instead. And articulated arms with a bicep cut and wrists and ball jointed shoulders. A detachable tongue so you can have him slaver all over slave Leia - or not. If we can't have the throne itself then at least pack in the back rest with the bowl of frogs and the pipe and bowl. That'd be something. Nice big window box for those who display in packaging and a cool massive character for those who open.
Sure there's a craving for a new Luke Jedi but wouldn't you rather get a huge Jabba instead, one that was correct?
Luke is a candidate for the carded treatment as a basic figure. The way some of these SAGA figures are coming now it's a distinct possibility he'll get done anyway.
I see the 400th celebration figure needing to be something really special and really tasty like Jabba.

Who's with me on this? All those in favour say AY! :stupid:

How could Hasbro have commemorated the 100th Star Wars figure when they didn't even own the license back then? Oh and the vintage line died at 96 figures so the 100th figure should have been from the Droids or Ewoks line. OR if you don't count those lines then it would have been one of the original figures released in 1995.

Jabba! Jabba! Jabba!

A Jabba figure would be awesome, since I haven't bought any of the other Jabba toys.

I know what I want for my 400th figure, a chromed Toy Fair Jorg Sacul that I can only get by winning the amazing race #3, and that's limited to only 6 pieces. I of course will have the only "uncirculated" one, making me the king of all I survey.
Or I'd like the cool Jabba.
OR I'd like a Vader with removable helmet - and YOUNG ANAKIN inside (!!) Super spoiler sneaky peak preview figure. That would be super fly.

06-30-2002, 04:20 AM
I'd love to see a new Jabba and a Jedi Luke as 500th fig
no wait that would take too long
just release them both at the end of this year:D

06-30-2002, 06:09 AM
I'd like to see a special 3-pack with Vader done in Chrome again (just like Toy Fair Vader) flanked by two Chrome Stormtroopers.

The Stormtroopers (since they'd be the same) would be #399 and the Vader would make #400. It could also include a coin with a split of Anakin and Vader (Hayden Anakin of course) and would say #399-400 Figure Pack on the back.

Making it a joint exclusive would be cool, between Toys-R-Us and Wal-Mart since they've both handled their exclusives quite well.

It would also drive down prices to a little on the TF Vaders since people who are going after it open it or just to get the chrome Vader no matter what packaging, would just go with that.

Oh, how embarrasing, I meant 376th, my finger must have slipped, and as for the mis-calculation, I did post that thread at about mid night so you can forgive me for being tired!:stupid:

What a great ultimate insult to all those who threw their vote away on the old men figures! :D :crazed: :dead:

Jedi Luke tops my list.

Jabba would be nice too - but we really need a decent Luke Jedi. Include a lot of accessories too!

400th figure? hmmm. let's see. yes, maybe....nah. ummm. how about...nah. i got! no, not that one either. this to hard to choose. I'll just wait and be surprised what becomes the 400th figure.

Say hasbro needs to put it up as a fan choice. Put Jabba, Yoda, Darth Maul, and Obi-Wan and let the fan pick.
