View Full Version : Saga cards--all the same size?

I'm going to need to pack away some of my Saga cards for a while (figures still MOC) to save room. I thought they were all the same size (something I really liked about the new cards in case of things like this), but I'm having to almost shove the figures in. I don't want to smash the bubbles! I know about the case packs, but I don't have two or more of everything. Am I crazy here?? I measured the packages and they all seem the same size, but one box is fitting just fine, but two others don't!

So how's the best way to store these? Did the original shipment boxes come in different sizes?

Don't want to seem too anal here. Just wondering if someone can help me out. Thanks... :)

Hmmm... I thought they were all the same size. If they aren't, then they're pretty close.

The cards are all the same size, but some bubbles are deeper than others.

A good way to measure is to look at the left side of the bubble where the insert lists the figure and collection number. The closer the end of the insert is to the card, the smaller the bubble is. :)

Hey thanks Lord Tenebrous! I would have never thought of checking the inserts. :)

Actually, I managed to get the other two boxes to fit ok. I just checked the original shipping lists and matched as closely as possible. And I measured the boxes and son of a gun, there is a slight diff in size...

How's that new collectors' database working out for you guys? I can't quite get it to work right. It's not too user friendly...and I'm not too sure on the rarity ratings. It's saying my MOC Boba Fett AOTC original release (w BG) is going for $50! I doubt that. ;)

And shouldn't the bloody hand Luke be rare than just a five?!

Weird, I never noticed anything like that, all my carded figures are stacked up on a shelf in my closet waiting to be hung on the walls, but they all stack evenly.

Yes, some bubbles are much deeper than others. Compare Dexter Jettster with Count Dooku and you'll see what I mean. Dexter's bubble is over an inch deeper.

Yep. And the Clonetroopers and Yodas are also fairly deep if I remember correctly.

Yes, you're correct. Those 2 are deep because of their enormous accessories.

They change the bubbles all the time, but it is sometimes hard to notice. I have two carded Captain Tarpels with completely different sized bubbles. The figures are the same and everything has the same placement, but one bubble is much taller than the other.

Then what was the meaning of your little joke about the apocalypse?

billfremore

It was mearly a little joke saying that you and I never agree on anything which is inaccurate since we haven't communicated for long enough to establish this.

Don't count your chickens yet. The message had nothing to do with you. I was trying to get ahold of billfremore. That monkey never checks his PMs.
