Orange - the color. I can't explain it but anything orange gets me in a tizz. It must have psychological implications, somewhere deep within my psyche there's an event that's tinged with orange but I haven't found it yet. All i know is that my whole house is painted in shades of orange from egg yolk yellow through deep oranges that are almost red. My clothing, soft furnishings, books, nic-nacs, bedding - everything has orange in their somewhere.

I don't think it's like a serious thing. Nothing like a trauma but there's a link to a memory or a person or a posession. I'd say that it's a real obsession. :)

Teddy bears too. Can't have enough teddy bears. They sit in the stores and out of hundreds just one will look back at you and there's a difference in the face that says "hello, buy me" and I have to buy it and give it a home and a name. Might sound girly but some of the most powerful and influential men in the world have been and are teddy bear collectors so i don't think I'm alone in this or weird at all.

bedroom gymnastics.... I won't go into detail but let's just say it's not for sleep reasons that I spend so much time in the sack  It keeps you young y'know....... puts hairs on your chest...... :D

I'm a compulsive tidier. I just have to have things in their own place or squared off. If i see a pile of papers I'll neaten them to death so the corners are all in line and the stack is square to the corner of the desk or table. Books on shelves I'll constantly tweak into position so all the spines are in line and flush with each other. Clothes have to be hung just so. Towels in the bathroom ar hung like it was a hotel and I make a point of the piece of toilet roll showing so it isn't untidy. Just stupis stupid things that mean nothing and generally go unnoticed by other people but they all make me unhappy if they aren'y done right. I even do it at other peoples homes and in stores and restaurants too. Kinda sad. But what the hell, other people get a free tidy up from me. What have they got to complain about? :crazed:

Im pretty much obsessed with work. When I get in my car to go to the store, I reach for the radio. When I argue with my wife I often make the mistake of telling her to "do it now" (doesn't go over well). When I go into the public bathroom, I check all the stalls and look behind the door. I think it might have something to do with my safety - if I don't do those things at work, it could have health ramifications. I've been known to go in on days off to check the email, my mailbox, see who's in cells, see what happened in court, etc.
We have a very tight knit group of guys and gals at our office, Im not the only one who behaves this way.

Im a little obsessed with comics, but it's an on and off thing - always there to some degree or another, the same as the SW thing.

Besides Star Wars, I am obsessed with:
Comics.....I love reading and looking at comics. I usually hit the local shop every other day after work. I have always loved them.
Superman...kind of goes with the comic thing, since he is my favorite superhero. I love the Superman Shield. I have the T-shirts, the stickers, the cap....Have to watch "Smallville" every week, even if it is a rerun...
Loud music.....Like jjreason said, I reach for the radio when I get in the car...It has to be rock, and it has to be loud. No wonder I am going deaf at age 24.
Chicken Wings....That's right. I go to the sports bar and I have to have them..and they have to be very spicy. The hotter the better.
Sports....If it wasn't for football, hockey, and baseball, I wouldn't know what to do. I guess it's just an obsession since I've grown up with it all my life and been to so many sporting events.
Video Games....I will play X box at my friend's house for hours and hours on end. Madden 2002 is the current obsession until the new game comes out next month....Then I go home and sometimes get on my Playstation 2 to play...You guessed it, Madden.
There's just a few, but I am sure there are more. Just too lazy to list them all.

I have none of them on DVD. I do own the Laserdisc S.E.'s of both ALIEN and ALIENS. They have the exact same features, infact they have more then the DVD versions. I don't own the 3rd movie, because some of the best scenes were cut by the director. And the 4th one was sucktaculer. Both 3 and 4 need proper S.E. treatments, before I will purchase them. :D :)

Jonna, you forgot to mention "Being mean to DeadEye." :(

Jar Jar, I agree that Alien Resurrection stank. It was like a darn comic book. A pity, because that was the only film where the aliens looked decent! (In #1 it looked like a man in a suit...in #2 they were mostly animatronic...in #3 it was a terrible-looking puppet.) And Alien 3 and 4's DVDs have paltry special features...however I feel that 1 and 2 are must-have DVDs!

And yes, Alien 3 could have been a much better film without the cuts. Especially since, thanks to the cuts, we have no idea whatever happened to poor Golic strapped in his bed. :D Alien 3 had much more potential with its early script, in which Corporal Hicks was the hero! I'm all for that!!! :p

In Alien the creature was never seen enough in the film to ever look like a man in a suit. Besides the body shape is supposed to be humanoid, it takes on a similar shape to the creature that was it's host.

Wrong, the only Animatronic Alien in Aliens is the Queen. All the rest of the Aliens are gymnists and similar people in suits that were filmed upside down and sideways, while usually being suspended on wires. That is clearly shown in the Laserdisc/DVD documentary.

In Alien 3, some shots I believe were partially CGI, but that was to expensive. The rod puppet shots are still convincing, because like in the first film the critter is bearly seen. But it wasn't as simple as just a rubber puppet. They actually did tests, putting a dog in an Alien suit, but it was a huge failure.

It's not worth $80 new to me, but at $40 I thought it was quite a bargain. :)

I was considering picking up the set, but I can get the movies seperatly, and ALIEN will be obsolete next year. It's going to be released as a 5-Star Edition release. And it's going to include the bonus making feature that was only on a 5th disc that was included in the first pressing of the Boxset. As well as more new features and stuff that is being prepared. :)

Heh. I have that 5th disc and I've never opened it.

I, too, am obsessed with DVDs. Almost 500 discs and counting.

I am obsessed with Movie Posters. And movies. I work at a movie theatre.

Transformers. G1. Cartoons. Comics. Some RID. Haven't picked up the new comic yet. The Movie is on the way.

Comics. Kind of. I don't collect anymore, but the new Marvel figures are sweet. I have 20,000 back issues in my parents basement.

I used to collect TV Guides. From 1977- 1995.

And most importantly. I am obsessed with being a dad. Therefore, I know all 254 Pokemon and I can sing theme songs to several PBS and Disney shows. "Its. The. Great big book of everything with everything inside..."

What do you mean besides Star Wars?
There's other things besides Star Wars? ;)

I love comics, Superman especially, as is evident since it is the largest part of my collection.

I love movies in general. I always feel like I want to have a movie critic's job becasue all he does is get paid to watch movies and complain about how bad they are.
Hey at $13.50 a pop these days I'd love for anybody to pay me to watch movies.

Oh, and being mean to Deadeye ;) :)

Aliens may get released again, since they are going to do a 5-star collection release of Alien. But don't ever expect a Audio Commentary from James Cameron on the movie. Him and Steven Spielburg dispise Audio Commentaries. They feel that it takes away some of the magic of the film, if you can hear the director talk about how things were done. Be glad they atleast will do interviews for the DVD features. And the problem with how old the intreviews are, is that they were filmed for the LD release. When DVD came about they just ported them over. :)

I don't think I'm even obsessed with Star Wars, but maybe that's actually part of being obsessed?!

The closest things to an obsession I have is determining where commas go in sentences, when to hyphenate compound words, figuring out the relative values and hues of nearly everything I see, and washing my hands 30-40 times a day.

But that last one is actually a necessity...really.
