I was thinking about it today. What major situation would be dire enough for me to sell my SW toys for money. My biggest thing would be if they were taking my car, then i'd fold up and give in to selling my toys. What about u guys?

Nothing short of my death.

Family tragedy or severe financial troubles (car repossession, bankruptcy, etc)

However, in anticipation of such an event, I make sure to only purchase versions of figures that are definitely not rare and open them all, rendering them worthless. Plus I never let my collection grow beyond the tiny three-shelf display I have, anything that no longer fits, I give to my nephews for speedy destruction.:) I also try to never have more than one shoebox full of figures. This way my collection is sufficiently worthless and if lost in a fire, won't cost me too much to replace.:)

One good offer. I would still be a huge fan, but my toys could go. I did it once before, my vintage collection before my marriage. It hurt like hell, but money talks - especially when you don't have any.

If someone offered me a million dollars for it. Then I would never have to work another day in my life. God, I hate work!

Wow, i'd sell them to keep my car, but some will fight to take them to the grave with them. I bet some sickos will want them dumped in their grave with them. Hey that would be fun.

Hunger and I don't get along so well. I think I'd give in if it came to that.

If I had to sell them it would be only to someone who would enjoy them as much as I have.
Otherwise I'd give them away to underprivileged kids.

10,000,000.

I'd sell my collection, then hire a hit-man to make the person put it in their will that if they were to die, I would get my collection back. Then have the hit-man kill him, seperating the times of course so it wouldn't be too suspicious and I could say that he did that after the deal so it could go back to where it belonged. :D

Then I'd use the money to replace any damaged items and buy more for my collection.

I'm sure the 10,000,000 bucks would cover Mr. Johnny Cochrans fees if you were caught too!

meeting a really hot bunny who would pleasure me forever. I'd have no time for toys then so I'd willingly sell them all. hell, I'd probably give them all away to the nearest dumb kid. The pleasure of plastic toys is nothing compared to the pleasure of a hot bunny...

Easy - The way I am disgruntled right now, if someone gave me what I paid for my whole collection (12-15 k), I would let it go and quit collecting.

With a collection worth between 15k-17k and continuously increasing, my collection will go to the grave with me.

That's gonna be one HUGE coffin :D

I've often thought that if our family ever got in serious financial straits, I would offer to sell my collection in order to help out. I doubt that I would make a major profit if I would sell them, but if it ever came to that, I would not hesitate. It'll probably fetch more money than my parent's current 410K plan.

Let's see what else, if Anna Kournikova asked me to sell them in exchange for her love then I would, but very reluctantly!

I don't think that I would ever sell my Star wars figures.

I'd sell all of mine if I new I could replace every item with the money and still have money left over to buy stuff I don't have yet.

I'd also sell it if, mmm well I could be a Jedi in EP3. Hell i'd die for a quick part and a lightsaber handle.

especially a cloak and a fighting scene, or atleast deflect a few bolts.
