OK,
Maybe this has been discussed before and I missed it (or can't find it), but what the heck is that Giant communication-type tower that comes with the Pilot Padme (Corusant Arrival)?

I don't remember anything like that on the landing platform when she got out of her Naboo Fighter....
Is it from another lost scene or am I just losing my mind and it is from a not-so-memorable scene in AotC?
Thanks,
Nataku

It wasn't in the movie. I can assure you of that. Maybe it goes with a future vehicle, like Pilot Obi-Wan's radar went to the Jedi starfighter.

Wow. That's the first I've seen of that. Uh, I guess it's just random machinery for us to use somewhere. :) It's neat looking though, so I guess that's good...

Yeah...it's probably rather large...one of the largest accessories ever! How big is this figure's bubble going to be?

I could've sworn I saw that radar thing in the background after the assassination attempt on Padme..........

I thought it was her Hair Dryer, but after seeing the foot pedal maybe it's a trash can or drinking fountian. Seriously, I don't remember seeing it either.
What's the deal with her left hand? Is it that way just so she can holod her helmet, or so she can Goose Anakin when he has his back turned? Now that's an action feature.

This accessory and the one with Teemto have to be the largest "pack-ins" in the line. I think it's kinda nice when they do things like this. Even if it wasn't in the film... it allows us to use our imaginations during "play". It also makes up for the lack of stuff for figures like Palpatine and the like.

maybe they will have a courscant playset and you can attach it there....you never know what the future will bring...

No blast effect. She didn't even fire a blaster in that uniform anyway, so it's no loss.
These accessories are large enough to warrant Padme and Teemto as being "Quasi-Deluxe." :D

and typho does? he came with one. i think the blast effects are really cool, who cares if they never fire the weapon in the movie, it adds to the playability.

I dunno, looks to be aroudn the same size as the pillar, and the dish will probably be put in the bubble seperate from the column so it doesn't take up too much.
Looks like it's just something for us to play with as an extra accessory for dioramas, could go well in Rebel/Imperial/Whatever base dioramas.
Though it's most likely a way for Hasbro to tap into the camera that came with Orn Free Taa (which is probably why it's such a great figure) so they can spy on our collection and see what we and aren't buying! j/k...I hope.

Exactly. I think it's also a way for them to "simulate' the explosion of the Queens ship, which, let's face it, was the only action she had in that outfit in the movie. Either way, I like it and I hope Hasbro keeps up the quality packins.:)

I like the blast effects too. I just don't think she comes with one.

I have to say Hasbro has done a pretty good job with the pack-ins, but i am have no idea what that is from.

Only Col.2 comes with the effects. She probably comes with "foot stomping action" to step on the trigger :crazed: .

What's up with the lever on it? Is it some kind of "action feature"?

Definitely! :)
Ki-Adi-Mundi looks so lonely in that big bubble. :D
However, I think the figure would be better if it came packed with that green R2 droid from the platform . . . :)

I think it's a "Giant communication-type tower". Yes, that's exactly what it is. Would anyone prefer she came with nothing at all?

Padme's accessory shares more than a few similarities with the "Naboo Communications Disruptor" from Galactic Battlegrounds. Another case of Hasbro dipping into the EU pool to give us some neat little (or big) extras.

I don't recall that unit in Galactic Battlegrounds.

I don't know what it is, but I like it!
In fact... I like Padme too!
