I would not pay more than $10 for one. I am not a completist and its not that great of a figure.

I'm a completist......but I just cant afford the 80 bucks it is going for right now. And since I do not believe in getting more than one of a figure, my trade possibilities are zero to nil......... I guess I'm screwed

I don't really want the figure personally.

Though, it's better than half the figures in the SAGA line (STUPID GIMMICKS).

Anyway, if I saw one at Wal-Mart for $4.77 I might buy one.

I hope you're joking.

NOPE!

No joke, I wouldn't even give up $10 for the thing.

I don't even consider it to be a part of the line.

It's a CONVENTION EXCLUSIVE!

The only way it would have had any significance to ME is if I had gone to C2 and bought one.

Otherwise it's just another Toy Fair Vader...who cares. Sure, if I had gone it would have been a great little momento. But other than that...eh.

I just don't collect the convention exclusives. I have seen some REALLY cool Boba Fett convention exclusives (limited Edition pkg, autographed, etc) but I won't pay $80.00 for a hunk of plastic.

I just don't see the big deal, unless you went there and bought it, to have something to remember the ocassion.
But, that's just me.

but I will want more. I not only collect for fun and love of the Saga but also for a little investment. And I don't mind paying more for a figure. That most likely means they will still go up in value, so.... I also payed lfor two of the Toy Vaders. I would be ****ED if they massed produced any of these (as a collector).
Then again, they are toys and kids should have access to them so...anyway .... just babbling

This figure really isn't that important to me. I realize I will never get it for that price and I am not even trying to get one.

The only reason I would want one is to fit in with the rest of my Rebel pilots. Its too bad he didn't come with an R2 unit rather than a micromachine X-Wing.

i have one(jorg sacul figure). i wouldn't mind if they mass produced the jorg sacul figure. i don't really care for the toy fair vader since it's a repaint from an original tooling/mold. i wouldn't mind having one but no way am i paying $100+ for plastic! I had the chance to go and get it, but it's my loss. i just hope i can get a TRU exclusive r2 this august. I'll be getting army builders (and the land speeder, x wing and new acction figures wave) to get the R2 D2 figure this august.

I respect your effort, but it doesn't matter. Legaly Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast cannot sell one of these ever again. It's part of the deal they struck with the convention to have an exclusive figurer. Same thing with the Target Y Wing, it's a legal thing. Plus, Hasbro doesn't care about the people who didn't get one, becasue it was a reward for those who went to CII. It clearly wasn't a perfect system, and many things went wrong. That's life.

This info is part my opinion and part truth out of the mouth of Andy, Hasbro's marketing person in charge of Star Wars. Others who went to Wizard World Chi can confirm this.

Still keep trying, there is something said about valor.

That sucks, I was hoping the Fan Club would have Sacul's for sale, making the figure worthless so everyone could have one who wanted one! The way it should be!

icatch9
07-10-2002, 11:57 AM
Sorry, the only way I can see it right now is the fan club haveing a contest for one. That I think would be legal, since they aren't selling it.

I consider my self to be very versed in the nature of prices when it comes to collectables. Not just Star Wars, but all kinds of toy collectables.

So, IMO I see the price topping off at about $70-$80 on ebay and other secondary markets. Sure some of the dealers (Brians Toys ect...) will charge $150 or more, but they'll take them home each time too. See the thin is only 2 months old, so it's real new an still pretty hot. I'd say about next January or so, when the AOTC phase has worn off for good that the price will come down quite a bit. Everyone who really wanted one for $100.00 or more already got one, and the rest who waited a while will get one from a decent price. I know $50 is still a lot for one $5 figure, but value and rarity have to come into play. This figure will always be popular and always bring a premium. Just keep your eye on them and you may score one for a good price. Just recycle pop cans for a few months and you'll get some free money that way, and it won't seem so bad that you have to pay $50 for it.

The Toy Fair Vader on the other had is a whole different beast. Since the numbers on this figure are very low considering how many of the Saculs where avalable. Plus, it's a popular character that is done in a fantastic way. I forsee this particular figure only rising in value. It will top out at a high price when your aveage Joe cannot affort $200.00 or more for it. I don't ever see the price of this figure ever dropeing. It a simple numbers game. Millions of people want one and only thousands exist.

I know this is all just MHO, but I've been right befor and feel that this info is pretty sound. But don't quote me on it :).

I never wanted it. Its just Biggs with George's head, and I am sure as heck not payin' $80 and upwards to get one.

I'm also missing this fig, but i'll probably wait till the price drops.

Rogue II

Either way, that's a lot of money for a figure thats only new from the neck up.

If I was given the choice of getting the $50 Jorg or $50 worth of Rebel Pilot Cinema Scenes, I'd take the Cinema scenes.

I WILL FORM THE MIGHTIEST REBEL PILOT ARMY OF THEM ALL!:crazed: :D

it would be nice if there was someway to get it. However it was a convention exclusive, from what I hear, a conv with a lot of @$$hole scalpers that screwed a lot of people over..
You wont be getting one in a giveaway, or anyother means, unless you get screwed by one of the online stores (who screwed people over to begin with) - the package has Celebration II splattered across it no?
IF I have extra money kicking around, I might shell out 80 bucks..... but when I think I might.. I also think.. "why?" why drop $80 on this, when I can buy a ton of stuff I need from earlier sets?

Now if someone on this forum, or someone they know, had a couple extra ones, and they were interested in helping a collector then I'd get one, even for $25 if it was to be THAT high
thats not terribly bad though, when people will help others and sell stuff at cost + shipping. so $15 then?
Comic-con near Detroit had Jorg going for $150, a couple months ago. We had passes to get in early and seeing this for 150 I told the first guy I saw "you're out of your ****ing mind", laughed and walked away.... (guarantee you!! he had a box under one of his tables with a sh1tload more then the 1 displayed..)

*tip of the day: make those conventions!

ok then how many people want this figure?

Jedi Juice
07-10-2002, 05:16 PM
If you put it that way, I WANT a Jorg Sacul figure.

Anyway, why are you asking this question? Do you have a large quantity of these figures that you are willing to sell?

I don't have a Jorg Sacul figure, so I would definitely like to purchase one, as long as the price is no more than $10-$15.

I'm afraid you won't really ever find a Jorg at that price. It's wishful thinking.

Good Question SBD88.....

I can honestly say (because I do have one) that I would never open it. Even if I got extras I could never. I saw a guy walking around C2 with one opened. That was enough for me.

In the June Issue of Tomarts Action Figure Digest they reported that a number of Jorg Saculs would be sold in Europe, Asia, and a couple other countries that high a high population of Star Wars fans/collectors. That's all the info they knew about it.

That's good for collectors from far away lands, but I'm sure all that have none hear in the US will be outraged. Oh, well that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Oh, I have one and I won't be opening it. I'll rarely open any, so this isn't out of the ordinary. Even so, it would be hard to open just because of the value.

i guess the reason they are doing it oversea is it would cost to much for them to get the figure. I do not much care of the figrue excluise they are sometimes the worth the money.
