This highly anticipated figure lives up to the hype...sorta.
The sculpt is great. We haven't had an Anakin with a metal hilt yet until this one. Unfortunately, the gimmick ruins the fig. He's articulated in the knee(right) and that's pretty much the only good articulation in the legs.He doesn't have hip movement(up and down) in either legs. The gimmick gets in the way. There's just a swivel in the legs about quarter the way down. The head is the best Anakin head sculpt so far. The padawan thread flares off obviously to simulate the attack. Soft goods "skirt" looks cooler than in the carded package. I can't do a double handed lightsaber pose. I haven't tried hard but it prolly could be done. Some people are gonna really like it, and some people are gonna hate it. I like 'em.

Nah, I like him, I just wrote the review with stuff that people might not like. That doesn't mean I don't like the fig.

Amok Time has had the Anakin wave in stock for several days now. I'm guessing that's where he picked it up.

I'm still looking forward to him despite any flaws. I guess I'm a sucker for lemons; after all, I'm one of about 3 people who loves the GR Mace.:)

I like the GR Mace a little too! I don't really care about how good the figure is, I just like to have every rendition of the characters I like! The only exception is Outland Peasant Ani...I'm not touching that thing. :D

let's just say ani ta is mucho better than gr mace.

Ill give you 50 cents for it, and a $1 if you throw in a Twix. I saw the new Waves Col 1 & 2 at my local comic book shop and they are dissapointing. Anakin is crap, Ki Adi is a retooled Epi 1 repaint, and Maul is...well Maul. In my opinion the Anakin is as bad as say a Deluxe figure gone wrong, or in other words, the Deluxe Jango Fett. Needless to say Ill stick to the Hangar Duel Ani.

I got mine from a specialist shop here in Romford, England. Paid a bit more for it than I would've liked but as I can't get to a TRU it's my only option as I've only paid as much as he would've been by mail order.

And his 'force kick' is silly stoopid daft.

Can he hold his saber in both hands?

Can he only hold the saber 2-handed above his left shoulder, or does he have multiple 2-handed poses like the Episode I Jedi Duel Obi-Wan?

3 days later............. I suppose I should.

Anakin can (more or less) grasp the saber with both hands holding it in front of him. The face is a little Justin Timberlake looking, but we'll get past that. The soft goods on this figure look great and is nothing to worry about. He stands pretty well on his own, but has a very wide stance. I suppose he kicks... if that's what you wish to call it. I think it's more of a flinch than a kick. Sadly, due to the gimmick, he can sit. The knee is articulated, but wasted. There is also a point of articulation at the top of the thigh, which allows for leg rotation. Again... wasted. It's still a handsome figure, though.

Yeah...my skin was molting! This little chestburster has grown up! :D
It's pretty damn pathetic...people have spoken of having found this figure in July...here we are at the very end of August and I still haven't found it!
