i was at the wal-mart in a nearby town (the one that i previously said has tons of the obi-wan wave.) i was looking for a palpintine because ours was severly dented. i just saw one out of the corner of my eye and snatched it up. i was so excited that i didn't see the fold in the card. then i looked up and saw 3 rows of figures. i stood on my tipp toes and pulled a few out to see who they where. they were the rest of what they hadn't had room to put out yet. i asked this guy to help me and he got a ladder and started piling figures into my arms. there were about 6-7 palpys and 5 of them had small dings at the bottom of the bubble. as soon as i saw him and a yoda (thank god for another one!) i grabbed it and sat it on the shelf below the figures. then i found a C-9 palpy and put him with yoda. but, the guy just kept putting more and more figures in my arms. i was literally up to my neck in figures!! then he finally stopped and started to put back the ones i didn't need. i thank him twice and ran off to find my dad and show him. he was happy about them and was surprised that a stock person would do that. good day all in all!!!!

wow! that's incredible!! most stock people look at me a little weird whenever i'm in a store. could be the fact i'm always wearing my jedi robes??? nahhh........couldn't be.

just kidding!!!

but i have yet to meet a stocker who didn't get that "look" on their face when i mention the words "Star Wars". you know that look! the one that's says, "your like what, 32 man, and you still play with toys???". i just want to say, your like what, 76, and you still work here?!?!?!"

that's because Target is only for the chic people to buy trendy clothes and look all cool while in the store. they carry Star Wars figures with no real intent on selling them(ha ha ha!!). kinda like MTV doesn't play videos.

but what is wrong with a 32 year old that is still connected to his inner child??? i am an adult when i need to be. but i prefer the child inside. what is that sooooo wrong?????

stockers dont get it, they think if you are over 4 or 5 that you dont NEED or CARE to have action figures, for they are not toys in my opinion... i have been asked to leave a wal mart late at night about 2 months ago becuase i was "not buying anything", i was looking through figures, and people thought i was going to steal something , its stupid, this age discriminaiton...

i would have been PO'd of that happened to me, darth narcis. that was the main thing i was doing last night for about 10 minutes before i asked a stock person for help....i think when i am like 18 or 19 i'm going to work at that wal-mart and be a stocker back in toys for 2 reasons...A: it doesn't really take any skill to do it. B: because i get to see what figures are going to be put out before everyone else in my area. :D

I posted this maybe a month ago about the helpful Toy Manager at Wal-Mart that opened cases of the Chewie wave for me. I didn't even ask her-she offered to open them for me after she asked if I collect SW. I picked up two Chewies, two Hans, and two Obi Starfighter. The reason I got two of each was one for me and one for a fellow SW collector. Now I know this might **** off some of you that collect Hot Wheels but this lady HATES the Hot Wheels collectors because they are ALWAYS bugging her about new cars. I asked " How about us SW collectors??" She replied "You guys aren't as bad as the HW guys-I'd rather help you guys out." Well thats my story.......HH:) :) P.S. I also do get some weird looks when I ask about figures because I'm a 33yr old collector.   Oh well....

hey, it's your money. they should be willing to help if you have money ready to spend.

No one ever seems to be around when I usually need to reach figures on the top shelf. Thats alright though. I usually take one of their stocking ladders out of one of the other areas in the store and bring over to the toys section to search. :D You won't believe how many stares I get from other customers for doing that. I don't think the employees mind though since they never say anything when they see me and the fact that I always return the ladder back where I found it.

hey! wait a minute... whats wrong if you're an adult and you're a collector? Is there some rule that says you can't buy what you like after a certain age?

I forgot to mention that i am 15 but i dont mind if adults collect no matter how old

hmm, I I just hate when the stores call in personal to watch over you through the PA system, and when they have to escort you out of the store because you're searching for Yoda.
