I know that Tikkes was going to be Tessek and therefore they look exactly the same. But is there any difference to them at all? It seems like Tikkes' outer robe is a few shades lighter than Tessek's.

I think Tessek would win. Oh, wait, uh, never mind. :D

I noticed some sources (Rogue Planet?) listed a Senator Tessek, so maybe the "official" EU explanation is that Tessek is a popular name among Quarrens?

Where can you even see Tikkes in the movie? I saw it for the fifth time yesterday, and noticed a far-off Quarren, talking to Passel Argente, wearing red robes, while Poggle was giving the DS plans to Dooku. I also saw the back of a Quarren's head when the separatists are at the table, so, where do you see Tikkes in the movie, and who is the red-robed one that I saw?

Actually, the red robed quarren is Tikkes (they changed his name from Tessek apparently). Tikkes is one of the separatist senators. From the Episode one Visual Dictionary, he was dressed almost identically to Tessek but apparently George decided to give him his own look for AOTC.

Don't have any links, but if you check the Episode 1 Visual Dictionary there's a picture of Tikkes (dressed like Tessek) on page 63. Then in the Episode 2 Visual Dictionary, Tikkes is listed as a separatist senator on page 51, and he's wearing the red outfit that they showed in the movie. I'm just assuming that Lucas wanted to change his look for AOTC.

Not sure if you can see him onscreen, I thought that I might have seen a Quarren senate box in the theatre but haven't found it again since. But some of the outside sources (Visual Dictionary, CCG cards, even the official sites databanks) had Tikkes listed as a senator with the Tessek robes pre-AOTC, when they changed him to the red. I don't have a scanner btw, or I'd post some pics for you guys.
