Hey, everybody. I've been using my free time over the last few months to put together an Action Fleet website. Check out www.starwarsactionfleet.com (http://www.starwarsactionfleet.com) and let me know what you think. Any contributions to the site would be more than welcome.

You are the one true SWAFMAN. I am not Herbert.

I'm definitely not the most knowledgable AF collector, but I am a web developer by trade so I can at least make it look nice. :)

GREAT job haggie!!!! Enjoyed looking around very much. I like the way you've presented the vehicles in all their forms. Great look!!:D

You are welcome to use my JCPenney remote control AT-AT pic if you'd like:happy:

I'll be very happy to add your site to my webpage too!!

Hey, R2. I'm going to link to your site as well. I actually have a SWAF Links section but it isn't up yet. It only has your site and sicqnus's sites listed so I've been trying to track down some more before I post the page. Do you know of any others? I had SWAFMAN's link but I can't find it, and I've heard that britc has a site too but I odn't know the URL.

Thanks for the offer of using your JCP AT-AT photo. Greatly appreciated. I've never seen another pic of it anywhere.

Its about time someone makes a site dedicated purely to Star Wars Action Fleet! Great work Haggie your very talented! Will you be high lighting any custom action fleet? If so I would love to have you post some of my customs for viewing. I am definately posting your site among my favorites!

Haggie: Your site is very well done. I just skimmed briefly through it and didn't notice anything I would have done better. Your site and Sicqnus' site give me less of a reason to work on actionfleet.com. Geez, I've had it for 10 months and still haven't done a damn thing, I guess I'm even lazier than even I thought. If you guys don't mind I'll put up links to your sites, as well as R2's, on actionfleet.com so it isn't a complete waste of visitors time.

Later,
S43

ShinaKuma43, I believe action fleet needs another site, its up to all of us to promote our interst inorder to establish a notable following to Hasbro that we are a market to build upon, please don't give up, I think there are enough of us that would love to see your site get put up. You already have a premium address, don't let it goto waste.

I would personally love to see action fleet expanded to other sci-Fi ideas, cartoons, movies, books. I think your site is still desparately needed for Hasbro and fans to get entire picture.

Absolutely. The more sites the merrier. I started to build mine because I love Action Fleet and wanted to promote it to more people. If there are more AF sites up, more people will find out about, and collect AFs. I couldn't find much on the web beyond R2s site (easily the most informative AF site around) and one great site just isn't enough.

Sakay, I'd love to put up a page for customs. My only hesitation comes from the fear of getting some really horrible customs emailed to me and having to tell somebody that their custom isn't good enough to be posted. Where do I draw the line for what gets posted? I'd feel really bad about telling somebody that their custom wasn't good enough. What does everybody think about a custom AF page?

When the idea first presented itself to customize action fleet, I had thought for sure it was an old established following that existed along with all the other Star Wars Customizations. To my dismay, I found no or little information that would connect me to other wanna be SWAF Customizers. I think to establish a dedicated Custom Action Fleet postings would be revolutionary to the survival and promotion of future Action Fleet Productions! As for having a custom denied for lack of craftsmanship, it would hurt, but it would also be agreat plus to be able to connect to other Action Fleet Customizers and get some feed back. PLEASE< PLEASE CONSIDER A CUSTOM PAGE FOR YOUR SITE! This would definately be a first for Action Fleet Customs!

I'll definitely add a custom AF page. I need something to start with. How about you send me some photos and info of your customs?

:D Truly a great site. One of, if not the best AF site. I guess thats because a true fan did it. I already added it to my favorite list.

Hi Haggie,

Great job !
I'm really pleased to see new AF addicts coming to the web every day.

I've added your site in my "links" page. Don't hesitate to send me a little description of your work with the things you want to include in the future.

I have a huge photo archive. If you're in need of some pics, send me your request.

hey Haggie, any chance you'd start a forum on your site.
I'd like to respectfully submit my application as a charter member.

I'd love to but I just don't have the time and I'd also be concerned about the amount of space and bandwidth it would take up. It could end up being costly. Right now I'm just looking at it as something that isn't totally necessary since we have this lovely little forum right here (don't want to take any people away from SirSteve but felt the need to make an AF site since there isn't such any info on AF here and hardly nay at Rebelscum). I should be able to get some new sections posted soon. I've just been really busy lately. An idea I did have, though was to ask you and the other fourmers if anybody would be interested in writing AF reviews or articles of any sort for the site. You wrote up a huge review on the new AFs which made the thought cross my mind.

SWAFMAN

Please feel free to use any AF reviews/comments of mine from the SSG MM posts. I'd enjoy the opportunity to submit other AF writings to your site. Just let me know what you're looking for.

I can't volunteer anyone else, but we have a wealth of well-informed enthusiasts here. I'd sincerely look forward to reading other's opinions and observations at your site.

Well, you could write about naything you want, really. If you ever have the impulse to write something just send me an email and I'll let you know if you should go for it. I'll post just about anything (reviews, thought on the collecting world, history of the AF line, essay on how an AF is produced). My wife has a Masters in English so I have an in-house editor as well!

personally i don't think that'd be such a good idear; if you count this one, xanthra.com/bbs1, art asylum's trek mm threds and jedijones' messagegroup, we already got four. further balkanization'll serve no purpose. if i were haggie, i'd instead add to his site a link to This forum, as bc3 has done on his :)

Ah, but there is a link to this forum in the site. It's in the FAQs right now under "Where Can I Find Other Action Fleet Collectors" and will also be included when I put up the SWAF Sites section (which will be relatively soon...).

. . .cuz as a non-af collector i simply browsed over your new site briefly when it first came on, & failed to take in many pertinent details ;)

After a few weeks of promises, I have finally added Rick's testshots to the site (otherwise known as out new forum memmber, Skyvvalker1). Check out the News and Updates (http://www.starwarsactionfleet.com/swaf.cgi?s=news) section so I don't have to type all the info about where his proto photos are. Now if I could just find the time to follow through on creating the Links and Customs sections...

Promises, promises, promises. I haven't done anything to expand my site, other than trying to keep the news up to date (well, except for that whole "Action Fleet is in hiatus" thing but I'll get to it). I was hoping to put up a SWAF Sites section long ago but it just never happened. Same story with the SWAF Customs. Well, the SWAF Customs page will take more time than I currently have so it'll still have to wait but I seriously need to kick myself in the butt to get the SWAF Sites section up. If there was ever a time that Action Fleet needed help it's now and promoting all the great Action Fleet sites is a good way to draw more attention to the line, even if it is going away for a time. So, here we go again. Please post your URL if you have an AF site that you'd like to see linked in starwarsactionfleet.com (http://www.starwarsactionfleet.com). I know some sites were already posted in here but I want to make sure I have all the up-to-date info. I've got a three day weekend coming up, like the rest of us in the US, and I'm going to spend some of it building the SWAF Sites section.

That sucks, SWAFY. Sorry to hear that. I think I read mention of that a while back but I haven't totally kept up with the group for a few months. I've been working my full-time job, AND doing freelance work, AND am only two months away from the birth of my first kid. Yikes!

If your site is truly dead, you can always look at it in a positive light: this just gives you the ability to start over again and make it even better. :) ...of course, that requires time, which can be hard to come by, eh?

Congrats! Get whatever rest you can NOW. Once the lil' ankle-biter shows up, cherish all the times the tyke sleeps/naps while resting on your chest, because they soon get too restless/independent to still do that, and you'll miss it like hell when they stop.
