I usually get a medium popcorn, medium drink, and a box of Butterfingers/bag of Sourpatch Kids. How 'bout you?

I usually only get popcorn and a drink. I might get a warm pretzel if the have nacho cheese to put on it. I don't eat candy that much.

NIBS!

...and occasionally popcorn and a drink, but that's only when I can afford to take out a second mortgage on my house or sell some blood to buy them.

I once smuggled in an entire bag of Burger King food under my sweatshirt. They just thought I was fat. :D

Well, if they approve me for financing, I get some combination of the following:

popcorn
Reese's Pieces
Large Coke
Large Cherry Arctic Blast (ICEE)
Nachos
Hot Dog

I usually get some popcorn and a drink of coke. Sometimes if I'm in the mood I'll go for some Ben and Jerry's ice cream :D.

Popcorn small or medium and usually a small or medium pop.

Sometimes when I'm not that hungry I'll get a movie meal which is like a kid's thing so it's smaller than small sizes and usually has a small candy sample with it. I actually like them kinda better than getting popcorn and pop seperately cause the popcorn for the movie meal is in the tray that also holds the pop and candy so it's more convient. :D

I rarely get anything there, unless I'm pulling a doubleheader - then I sometimes buy a $4 Code Red and get a free refill inbetween flicks.
But other than that, I don't buy snacks. :)

I can't remember the last time I pulled a double header. I think the last time was when I went to see Crow 2 (CHRIST that sucked), and it was so bad I had to go see something else to get my mind off of it. So we went over to the Very Brady Sequel. That made me feel much better. :)

I always bring my own candy. Usually Reese's sticks, pieces or cups (love that PB). Uno and Rocky Road bars are also good movie-going eatin'.

I wish someone would invent some kind of popcorn in a bag that was self-heating. You know, like when you pull the cord on a lifevest and it fills up with CO2 but an instant heating unit instead that would heat the popcorn enough to pop it. I would take that into a theater instead of buying their crap. Either that or smuggle in my own microwave to pop it fresh. :D

With the insane prices of snacks at the theater, I usually never get anything. Sometimes I will smuggle in my own stuff, usually fast food, because I can get a whole meal or two for the prices they are charging for their concessions. Women have it so easy, since they carry purses they can smuggle food in so much easier. :greedy:

Being as how my bladder is the size of a pea I don't get anything to drink out of fear of needing a bathroom break. I usually don't get anything to eat either because it generally annoys me when I'm subjected to the masses stuffing their faces with little regard as to how loud they're being. What I can't understand is why so many people feel the need to eat in a movie? I mean come on its only a couple of hours and popcorn has to be the most annoying food to listen to someone graze over. O.K. potato chips would be worse but not by much. Thank god for home theater and DVD. :D

I always get a small Cherry Coke when I go to a theater. If I missed dinner or something then I will get a box of candy. What kind of candy depends on my mood at that moment (although I really dig that cookie dough candy, whatever it is called).

People with young children have the best opportunity to sneak in food, since few theater employees will search a diaper bag for snacks.

Patient Zero

Why would anyone dare to search the diaper bag!?!

Where have you been all my forum life? :(
I've complained about this epidemic in the past, and I was surprised when it falled mostly on deaf ears. :D

Ugh, and when people are talking before the movie while cramming that stuff into their face?
Listen, if your hand is lying flat across your face after you "take a bite" of popcorn, you are going wayyyyyyyyyyy over the line.

My personal smuggling record is 2 one liter bottles of soda plus one 20 ounce bottle plus 2 bags of Skittles.

I've been party to the introduction of a just-nuked box of Totino's pizza rolls, but it was a friend who did it . . .

QLD, double-features are pretty standard for me, I find them quite efficient. My most recent one was a K-19/Goldmember double dip. Yes, I do pay for all of the movies I see. :)

I will usually pass on getting anything from the snackbar. They practically rape you at the ticket counter with their aggregious prices. Paying $3 for a box of gummy bears (the box makes it look like there's a lot of gummies there, but there ain't) isn't my cup of tea.

I've sneaken stuff in before including opened bottles of pop in my pockets. You have to be very careful.

But of course if someone else is buying the popcorn . . . chow time!

I usually get 1 or 2 from the following list of my favorites:
- Popcorn (no butter)
- Soda (Cherry Coke if I am feeling brave enough to tackle caffine)
- Hot Dog
- Raisinettes
- Sno Caps
- Goobers
- Frozen Bonbons
- Icee (though not the classic flavors like plain cherry, coke, or blueberry/blue raspberry)
- Nachos

It's pretty pricey there, so that's why I usually only get 1 or 2 from that list. Some of the theaters in LA let you bring in outside food without hiding it, the Glendale Mann Marketplace 4 almost encourages going to one of the places in the Marketplace and bringing in food (I was shocked when they told us we could do that), but I think that's a bit too far usually.

I usually smuggle in a Coke and Twizzlers/Starburst or Mentos. I think it's crazy to buy food from the theater:crazed:

It's nice that you get all those things at the theatre JT.

Too bad about the second mortgage you had to take out on your home though. :D

Popcorn, pop, some form of chocolate. Can't go to the movies without it (thank goodness we're in the boonies and only have to pay 6 bucks to get in!). Im partial to coke and jr. caramels while the "Old Girl" likes her diet coke , dry popcorn, and some of whatever chocolate Im trying to hide from her. :)

if the concession stand prices weren't so insultingly high, I'd get a large buttered popcorn and a large coke or pepsi.

since the prices ARE so bad, I usually sneak in a couple candy bars - snickers & payday are my normal choices - and a 20-oz. bottle of pop or fruit juice.

i'm sorry that theatres feel they're forced to charge 1000% mark-up on popcorn and fountain drinks, due to the fees they're charged from the film companies, but it's just a matter of principle to me to not pay $3.50 - $4.75 or whatever for a bag of popcorn, or $3.00 for a cup of pop.

i don't pretend to fully understand the economics of it all, but it sure seems to me that if the theatres charged a price for snacks that showed even the faintest hint of fairness, they'd make up their profit in the higher quantity of concession stand sales.

Back in the day my buddy and I would go to the movies every week, and we'd get some soda, and he'd get some popcorn. The line would move SSOO SSLLOOWWLLYY that we joked that the employees were out harvesting the corn to pop.

And why anyone would get "butter" on their popcorn is beyond me. I worked at a movie theater for a couple months when I was 16 and the "butter" there was foul looking.

if I get something, I usualy get a coke and some popcorn
but luckily the "don't bring your own food" rule isn't that important here
I often bring my own M&M's or a coke with me
a few years back, I went with my friend to see Independence day and we took a six-pack of 0.5 litres of coke with us and didn't even feel like hiding it and nobody cared

I wish the ticket prices would go down. I've gone to the movies about 25 times less in the past 3 years because of that. I'd rather buy the $2.50 box of raisinettes and the $4.75 popcorn 3 times a week if the ticket prices were low enough that I could afford to get in the door 3 times a week.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who's tired of sitting next to the guy who feels driven to shake his popcorn bucket every few minutes or the family that sits in front of you and passes food back and forth like it's some sort of picnic.
I got so tired of it I vowed to never go to movies on the weekends and in the evenings. I strictly go on the weekdays during the economy showings after I get off work so I can save a little $ and have a few rows to myself. :D

I like to get Gummy Bears and a Coke. And if I have a few extra $. Nachos!
