take a gander at this here auction for among other things, mm ep I sets XI, XII, XIII (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1655013383)

the seller ended the auction early, (either he didn't really have it, or he struck up an off-auction deal with some) but click on the bid history if you really want a shock!

but among other thangs, it does have a loose action fleet rogue two snowspeeder (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1685209102) and a tie bomber.

the auction is currently at 5 samolians, and it ends in 19 or so hours

Thanks for the info on that auction GSJ. I just threw a bid down and hopefully I'll get it. All I want is the Rogue 2 (actually I only need one of the pilots, but an extra rogue 2 Snowspeeder is more thna welcome) so if I get it and anyone else want the mini heads and whatever else there is please let me know and you can have them. I might want the transforming Yoda playset if it is complete since I don't have it loose.

If the acution for the Jedi Braid gets too high, keep in mind that dnstoys.com has them for 9.99 each. They even had one listed about a week ago for 6.99 with a buy now of 9.99. I'm sure that one's gone, but they may have relisted another. Even the 9.99 isn't bad though.

GSJ, well and everyone else too: The TIE Interceptor above appears to actually be the regular colored Interceptor and not the darker blue version. Most of the Silver Logo Interceptors are the darker blue version but I guess some Silver Logo boxes were left over when they switched the color. I have it already but will have to check the box on mine and see if this one looks nicer. I may then have to win it. I'm thinking about the X-Wing in the At-At box though. It is something I need to have but I'm thinking baout whether I should use the buy now and take it now for 19.99 or try to win it cheaper. Hmm... Oh well, I just decided to take it and so I did.

a couple of loose action fleet (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1699555277) broken x-wing, bd vaders tie, but most interesting of all, a later released a-wing (exposed hing), with no weathering marks! i was always under the impression that when they changed the hinge, all a-wings after that had scorching added. any thoughts s43 or r2?

4 loose action fleet (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1701318658), one of which appears to be the darker colored 1st released tie interceptor

shinakuma43
02-06-2002, 02:50 PM
GSJ: I have the A-Wing with exposed hinge without battle damaged markings loose and boxed. It's kind of hard to come by and if I remember correctly I got both of mine accidentally. Well, not really by accident, but there probably wasn't an image included in the auctions I won to get them.

The Interceptor in the other auction does look like the dark version, it also looks like the large version of Vader's TIE Fighter is one of the other 4.

Hi gsj,
if you are still looking for the emblemless A-wing I just found an on-line store which apparently has it in stock (even if I wasn't able to find out the price).

Here is the link to M&M Collectable Toys (http://members.aol.com/thetoyhunter1/), if you follow the "STAR WARS ACTION FLEET" link and scroll down you will find an "A-WING ERROR it is missing the lightning bolts and the rebel symbol".

I once bought some E1 MM Die-cast items from M&M Collectibles (http://www.collectorstoybox.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?), and they were OK, but I do not know if they are the same (maybe not).

Hope it helps.

Good luck Swafman, the title isn't very descriptive so hopefully no one notices it and you get it cheap. The one I got about 8 months ago went for I think 5.00, the minimum bid. I figured it would have gone higher but luckily it didn't. I just checked the auction again and just noiced it is a dutch auction. If I were you I'd just hold off until shortly before it ends to bid any higher. Hopefully you get one of them anyways. I'm sure R2 will want one as well.

I dunno what the heck happened. There were zero bids and no reserve when I visited the site and I bid a maximum of $10.00. It jumped directly to $10.00. I emailed eBay to ask whassup with that. Obviously, I don't mind paying the $10.00 or I wouldn't have bid it, but I'd have liked to see it stay at $5.00 at least until I was bid up by someone else.

GSJ, thanks for the heads-up! I did already get an opener and an unopened card on this one.

Anyone else interested? They're okay detail - not the best - but in good scale to the b-squads WW2 fighters and the C130. Most of my b-squads battle packs came from Canada via eBay (Marina's Toys), and I've had good service from there.

GSJ: I red those BP auctions a little too quick. I thought they were silver logo auctions without the extra figures. So far I've never seen any like that but it wouldn't surprise me to find out that they exist.

SWAFMAN: I actually think I got my Combat Packs from Marina's Toys as well months ago. I've been on the lookout for another Combat Pack #3 though. It's the only one I don't have loose and it never seems to show up on ebay anymore. Last time I saw it was a long time ago. All four Combat Packs were included, I only needed the #3 so I didn't bid. They went for 18.00 and I now often feel I should have taken them all. Oh well hopefully I'll get it soon. I have a deal going for a loose Sherman and once I get both of them I'll have them all loose and boxed.

Yep, I've seen the truth. MissMiataRacer IS scalper scum. Right now she is bidding as 2-3 different people on Ebay: SBcid, SB114, and warp_factor_10, not sure about her being SBcid, but I know she's SB114 and warp_factor_10. Those three names are major hoarders on Ebay, always going for the toughest to get items and bidding high amounts even as a start bid, and lately stuff has been going down in price on ebay, but most definitely not on her store. :D I don't doubt she hoards for for stock on her store but even with more supply to meet demand the prices are still too much higher. Maybe I'm just exaggerating here by calling her a scalper, I dunno, but it's rather pathetic that someone registers 2-3+ names on ebay so they hoard things but not look like hoarders since it's a number of people and not just one.

Ya know, if Hasbro would get back into MMs and remake the rarest ones, it would take demand off of the originals especially if they were made the same or with better detail (since peeps like the detail with it) then scalpers would wig-out and not be able to support their hoarding and so the originals would be in more supply to meet dwindling demand. But will that happen? Most likely not.

die-cast att (federation tank) (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1706820747), this is probably the toughest to find of all the episode I diecasts. it's prolly gonna become just as tough as the classic snowspeeder die-cast to acquire.

episode I mm pack XII (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1075355704)

another set XII by the same seller (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1074993920)

die cast radient 7 (republic cruiser) (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1706820758) not as tough as the tank, but still pretty hard to come by

mini scene 1 (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1706820745), was pretty plentiful at 1st, tough to track down now. most noted for the stap. this is the only galoob version of the stap that was made available

mm play set rebel transport (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1706639516), if you haven't gotten this yet, i highly recommend it! the detail and size of it (af sized) is phenominal!

jedi braid set with holographic royal star ship (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1706479296), unfortunately the auction is in austrailia, but if you snag it for the current price of $4.99, the postage is $5.00, so you might be able to acquire it for about $10.00!

not much, just a bunch of loose classic die-cast (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1074786964). however, as the episode I die casts do not come with stands, you may wanna pick this guy up just for the stands:cool:

I had that along with all the others except for the TIE Pilot and above when they had first come out but like I think 6 or 7 years (can't remember how long) my house had a fire and those were majorly damaged... well actually melted to be exact. Them heads were fun.

Hey GSJ, where did you get the idea that the DC AAT was harder to get than the DC Republic Cruiser? They shipped equally in the same case, I think.

02-21-2002, 07:46 AM
all's i know's izzat it took me many moons longer to track down the tank than it did the rep cruiser.

maybe it's just how the chips were dealt me, cause now that i think of it, i havn't seen the die cast infiltrator anywhere in a dogs age.

btw, as i never saw any of these 2nd wave die casts at retail here in fla, were they ever released in the u.s., or were they strictly a european thang?

JediGoofy
02-21-2002, 12:32 PM
Imho, the rarest E1 die-cast was the Sith Infiltrator.
If I am correct near march-april 2000 they were something like $60 on eBay and they were always very hard to find.
Eventually I bought it from a US seller (from San Diego, CA) for more than $20.
I never saw the second wave of die-cast too, and if this wave was a "European thing" it was not an "Italian thing" for sure.
(of course I am kidding! ;) )

LTBasker

To my knowledge it wasn't a european thing, I think all the die-casts showed up here in the states, unfortunetly I was just collecting figures at that time since everything was so frickin' expensive.

shinakuma43
02-22-2002, 12:00 AM
I never saw the second series E1 DC ships in stores, but I do remember etoys.comhad them quite a while ago. I'd assume they were on US cards, but that was when I only collected AFs and so I didn't buy them so I don't know for sure. I did see Sebulba's Podracer in stores which I think was series 2, so if that shipped with the Cruiser, Tank, and Infiltrator then I'd say they all were available in the US.

The wave 2 Die Casts shipped in somewhat good numbers to Wal-Mart, and a lesser amount to TRU. I just completed the payment and I'm looking forward to receiving them. I guess that explains what happened with my bid price jumping directly to $10.00, per my ealier post in this thread. I guess I accidentally bid for all 3 of the battle packs instead of just one. But as you said, the price was very fair. $10.00 total shipping for the lot from Canada, so I'm satisfied. For about a year, I wasn't even sure if the Avon BP 7 was even real. There was some ambiguity around it when I originally asked if anyone had heard of them a long time ago.

Hmm, that one is risky because test-shots are notoriously easy to fake. A few years ago, there was a rash of faked POTF2 test shots out there, and once the seller got them into circulation, they never really 100% got back out once they were debunked.

I'm a suspicious person and tend to not trust stuff like this unless it came directly from the company to my hands (like Jeddah's AF TIE Defender test-shot).

I remember seeing a couple go for 100.00 or more, but that was way back in November. I haven't checked on them probably since December when I saw a few end around 25.00 each. I figured more were showing up on ebay causing the prices to drop way down 2 pounds is a much better deal. I already had mine before you were able to get them for everyone else which is why I didn't ask you to get them for me. I remember you saying you were getting some from a seller that had them on ebay. I suspect it was the same seller I got mine from. I got them from Snoozybear, they were each listed with buy now prices of about 6.00 each and it was the first time I saw them on ebay (actually the first time I saw them anywhere). After that I notced he/she listed a lot more with much higher Buy Now prices or none at all, all of which sold for more than 6.00. They still made money on them even at 6.00. Mine arrived with price tags on them, they all said 99P. I assume 99 pence? or about 1.50 US.

All:
The seller of the Avon SWAF BP 7s e-mailed me today to ask if I was interested in another of the same for $10.00 + $5.00 s/h from Canada. I replied that I would post the offer here, and let her know if anyone is interested. I can complete the transaction with the seller, and I'm pretty sure she'd just ship directly to you, if you're in the CONUS. For our Great Britain or Italian friends, if you're interested, I could have it shipped to me, and we can make sure it goes out with the next bulk-shipment to y'all.

So, lemme know if you're interested.

Swafman: Have you asked if the seller knows of any other battle packs available through Avon in Canada? If there are others I'd like to get them.

BTW, good job on getting them in case I didn't mention it earlier. I was sure by you throwing a bid of 10.00 down near the beginning that others would have noticed it and bid it up. I don't think many people know about it so most people probably aren't searching for it. I figured seeing a BP 7 at 10.00 might have drawn some attention but I'm glad it didn't.

The Avon AFs were somehow obtained through Avon I guess. There were 2 ships, the DV TIE Fighter and Luke's X-Wing. The ships and figures are the same as the regular release AFs but they come in a little white box rather tahn a nice display box. There is also at least one other Avon exclusive AF. It's the Battle Pack #7 which is the same as the 2nd release version of the BP#7 with the scorch marks and without the Power Droid. I believe it was a Canadian Avon exclusive and is in a smaller white box than the others but also has various shades of red geometric shapes all over it.

britcit3....are you familiar with the AVON company? They sell perfume and body products, along with a variety of jewelry, clothes and have had in the past some special items, like SW steins, watches and some MM stuff. The AF are packaged in a white box, but the two AF I have (Vader TIE and X-wing) and the only 2 I'm aware of, are really not different than the regular AF...other than a very minor TM change on the stand. SWAFMAN mentioned also that he is waiting on an Avon transforming action set, so who knows what all Avon has done:)!!

R2 and BC3: one of my kids gave me a beautiful Avon SW stein for Christmas a couple years ago. I've zipped some scans of it, if anyone would like to see. I've done 4 scans - the front view (1), side views (2) & (3) and bottom view with authenticity certificates (4). The handle is shaped like a lightsaber. The white fuzzy line running vertically through Luke's face in the jpg #1 is just glare from the scanner. The image on the stein is perfect. If anyone else has other SW steins and tries to scan them, be warned - set them down & pick them up EXTREMELY gently! I was as careful as I could be, and the roughness of the stein (Vader-side down) still made a nice, deep little gouge in the glass of my scanner.

S43: according to the seller, the Vader/Bespin playset is white with red print. I'll inquire about additional availability and post scans as soon as it arrives.

Thanks to SWAFMAN (and to S43 for pointing out the auction), I'll be getting the Avon Battle pack :D I'm assuming there is no difference in the pack itself, just the packaging, but it is fun to be getting some MM again! Thanks SWAFMAN for inquiring and offering the second set to the group!

It is interesting on the change in the box lettering for the Vader Action set. I know it's not earthshaking.... but it IS curious :)

I really like that Avon stein...one of my favoites. I do have a pic on my collection page. (http://www.twinsuntimes.com/toyforce/more_collection.htm) but forgot to add the front pic. Good scans SWAFMAN and it's really nice the family found this for you.

I previously mentioned the TM on the Avon AF being slightly different. In looking at them, I was wrong, it's the same as the regular AF stands........ it's the Dagobah X-wing that has a very minor TM change on the stand, having an "R" instead of TM on the lower part....no biggie...just of note :D

As soon as SWafman mentioned the red lettering I figured that set was also a Canadian Avon exclusive. I won't know until I hear more from Swaffy once he gets it.

GSJ: I didn't know there were ship varients on the Royal Guard and TIE Pilot playsets. I now have to dig mine out and see which ones I have. I figured all the ERG sets had the moveable winged Shuttle. Are there ship varients in any of the other playsets?

In addition to those mentioned by s43 and gsj I think there are other playset vehicle variations:

* Rebel Pilot/Hoth: Imperial AT-AT entwined by cable and smaller Snowspeeder with cable.

* Star Destroyer/Space Fortress: "launchable" Darth Vader's TIE Fighter.

* Chewbacca/Endor: exploding Speederbike with Imperial Pilot

* Jabba/Mos Eisley: small S-Swoop

* Yoda/Dagobah: slimy X-wing

* MTT/Naboo Battlefield: firing Trade Federation MTT (a version bigger than the MM MTT)

* Gungan Sub/Otoh Gunga: Gungan Sub with hole on top

If I am correct I think this completes the list given by gsj. If you are aware of other variations I will be very interested. :)

Not only is the speeder bike with scout trooper different in the Chewbacca/Endor playset. The AT-ST from the transforming playset is also different. :p I noticed that its legs are longer and its posture is more straightened out than the one that comes in the 3 pack. I don't know if all these playsets came with this variant but mine did. Has anyone else noticed this difference?

S43, the ships are just different from the 3pack versions, I'm fairly confident that there is only one loose version of each playset and contents.

Carlos, although I can't find my 3pack version of the AT-ST, I think you may be right; besides the changes you mentioned, I remember the one I have in the playset also being lighter than 3pack version. That's one of the coolest things about the playsets, they weren't just there to offload unsold MMs.

you is sooooo right dc! the atst from the chewbacca head is indeed a resculpt!

the legs are indeed longer, and the head portion is a tad larger too! the sculpting of the head portion is different from the regular mm version.

with regards to vt's proposed trade of an mm republic cruiser from set 11 for a hallmark trade federation control ship, i highly recommend you make that deal, if in fact you now have extras of the set 11.

i had scored that hallmark set for myself and brit cit sometime ago, and the control ship is a dead ringer for a micro machine!

as it doesn't seem likely that we're ever gonna see a control ship mm, this is the only way to display one in your collection. if you go to brit cit's site (http://freespace.virgin.net/james.hobson/swep1.htm), you will see a photo of the one i got fer him.

and if hasbro does ever release mm sets XIV-XVI (yeah right:rolleyes: ), the hallmark control ship is the one with all the antennae, while the photos of the unreleased mm version shows it being just a battle wagon, without the transmitting devices, so it would make a nice varient when displayed together.

GSJ: You aren't going to go for the emblemless green A-Wing? Using his buy now method you can get it for 20.00. I'd say 20.00 would be a good deal on it since it is almost never seen. I noticed in his description he also has "local offers" listed and that he won't sell for below that amount. I guess that's his way of saving the reserve fees. I'm actually amazed that ebay hasn't noticed and removed the auctions yet. For another 3.00 a stand can be added. If you want it insured it's another 3.00. Even with the seemingly rip off prices 26.00 would still not be a bad deal IMO. If I needed it I wouldn't hesitate to take it.

I sent the following to eBay:

FEE AVOIDANCE?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1718664177

I believe the seller is violating eBay policy, and possibly avoiding some of your listing fees by *NOT* including a Reserve price in the auction format, but stating in the auction terms:
"There is a local offer of $ 18 Most of our items have LOCAL OFFERS. which you must exceed to win the item."

The seller also is *NOT* offering a 'BUY IT NOW' option within the auction format, but he *IS* stating in the terms of the auction:
"BUY-NOW price: $ 20 You can BUY-NOW at anytime until 24 hrs of end of auction .. Ask How!"

This "local offer" mentioned by the seller seems very suspicious. If there is a local offer, shouldn't that local person join in the bidding on eBay with the rest of us?

I believe this seller has repeatedly listed items in this manner, and it is an insult to the vast majority of sellers who honor eBay rules, and especially to the buyers who deserve a fair chance to bid and hopefully win an auction.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

my brother in law is fond of saying chicken schmaltz has killed more jews than hitler could ever dream of.

cause meat and dairy can't be mixed, chicken fat (schmaltz) is what kosher meat dishes rely on for keeping the meat moist, great for the taste buds, baaaaaaad fer the arteries.

come tonight, i plan to have corned beef and pastrami piled on high between two pieces of seeded rye bread, with plenty of schmaltz laden chopped liver and kishka (chopped chicken innards that aren't livers)! why do i plan to clog my arteries in such a manner you might ask............passover finally ends tonight, and i can put away the cardboard (matzoh) for another year!

gold logo's were put on the boxes and stands to commemorate the se release in 97' (prior to this the logo's were silver), as the green a-wing, along with all the other repaints (squadron colors), were not released until 97', all of these only had the gold logo.

sent this e-mail to the seller just now....

Playidia,
Your auction caught my attention. I've heard of the snowspeeder in rogue squadron colors, and I've heard of the x-wing with wedge antilles (red 2) in x-wing squadron colors, but I am not familiar with the "WEDGE X-WING ROGUE SQUADRON COLR" version. There was no photo of the ship in your auction for me to see this variant. Can you provide a picture of the item you're selling, a link to another ebay auction showing the exact same ship, or a description of the item, with specifics about the color scheme of the ship?

Thanks for your help,
Joe

11:52 AM 5/9:
Here's the seller's reply to my e-mail...

in the case of the x-wing squadron colrs just means it has 2 stripes on the wings instead of the 5 for luke's -which ids considered the standard version, only the number of stripes and the paint job on the pilot figure change on the different versions

(gee, thanks for clearing that up, dipwad!)

He/she knows darn well that description is misleading. To be able to describe the red paint stripe identification differences so readily, they must also know the rogue color descriptor means the dark blue/gray color scheme seen on the snowspeeder. I don't knwo if they're counting on someone not reading carefully, and thinking it's a snowspeeder, or if the seller is trying to get someone to think there's really a rogue paint variant of the x-wing.

I've seen this Denver ebay seller on ebay for a LONG time.....grrr. Where oh where is this person finding all this MM!!

A very small interesting note from my POV, in

this auction SWAFMAN (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1729720302) ponted out, the Ice Planet Hoth playset has a yellow sticker on the box that I haven't seen before. Does anyone else have this on their box? I just wondered if this was the "first" version or a later version and if there was something EXTRA in this set.

SWAFMAN
05-09-2002, 11:23 AM
The yellow graphic looks like the ones on the flight controller sets that come with the bonus death star trench, but this one looks like it might say "Extra! Two Imperial Pilots." If so, I've never seen that on a hoth playset !?!

One thing's for sure, it's a pity the set has been opened and apparently some of the pieces lost/sold separately.

SWAFMAN

here's my reply to the rogue color x-wing seller's email...

YAYOGAK46@aol.com,
I'm going to give you benefit of the doubt that you are unintentionally listing these x-wings in a manner that could be considered misleading. Using the Rogue Squadron Color designator will cause some confusion with experienced Action Fleet collectors, because the rogue squadron color is associated with the dark blue-gray paint scheme seen on the Action Fleet rogue squadron snowspeeder. Here's a link showing one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1728347075
The picture is blurry, but the color is easy enough to see. The yellow lettering in the upper left of that box says "Rogue Squadron Colors."
You can ignore this email as the nit-picking of some meddlesome star wars geek, or, if you are an honest seller who's simply made an honest oversight, I hope you'll consider revising the descriptions of the two or three Action Fleet x-wings you have currently listed on ebay.

Man, I hope I never have to put up an auction like that 2nd one! That picture is both awesome and tragic at the same time (plus, it reminded me that I've completely lost my MM Rebel Transport playset :frus: :stupid:  ). BTW, notice on that auction how the most ominous statement is buried? "and some have thier figures as well"

In the image of the lot of 60+ ships from the ebay link provided by Swaffy above there is an X-Wing with Blue Markngs. I've never seen this before so I figure it must be a custom job. I wonder if others in the lot have been modified. It's at 405.00 without the reserve being met currently.

The Zaap is at 100.99 and the reserve still isn't met. The seller mentions that the reserve is High, I wonder how high.

I don't know if I could consider selling my collection to anyone, I might if I had to, give it to someone who would appreciate as much as me for free. Make a profit from my collection, seems to me to be a sacrement. Plus, I don't really think that collection is worth $500. , especially out of the box!

No way is that lot worth 500.00, I can't believe it's already up there either. The TIE Defender and E-Wing I believe are not included in the lot. He says his Zaap, Defender, and E-Wing are going up as well. He has the Zaap listed and will probably list the other 2 soon. Hmm, maybe people misread the description and think the Defender, E-Wing, and Zaap are included. That would explain why it's so high.

oooh! imagine paying $500 for that lot thinking you're getting a Zaap, Defender & E-Wing + all the pictured ships, and only getting the pictured ones. I think that lot is more fairly worth between one and two hundred. And with all of them opened and the comment about missing figures, my estimate is probably even a bit high.

WOW!, I've always considered my collection priceless, but this seller is definately getting his return in green backs. Hope the buyer read the description closely, and doesn't really think he'll be receiving a ZAP, Ewing, and Defender, along with the pictured items and the other listed. I almost feel sorry for the winner of this auction.

I've been watching these auctions as well to see how they turn out. Any of you thinking about bidding or wondering the cost to win one of them should take a look at this thread (http://www.rebelscum.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=19;t=002299) from another board and it should give you a round about idea of what it will cost ya. Wow!!! 25.00 for the Zaap!!! I wish I saw that before. I need an opened set and that would have been perfect. Now I wish I looked at that site in the past but I remember back when I collected Hasbro SW toys that everything was way overpriced. I guess they have no idea what they had.

I hope the Zaap on ebay doesn't go up to 300.00. If it does it'll be the most expensive one I've ever seen. I got mine for 117.00 with shipping and that was a very good deal. I've seen them go for 150.00-250.00. I think one even went for under 100.00, but that was a surprise.

I purchased the one I have from him last year sometime (can't remember exactly when). I did follow up with him a short while after to see if he had come across any other action fleet items to sell (since he had been looking for me over seas) and he did have a few left at that point. Unfortunately I don't have his e-mail address anymore because I replaced my computer since then. I have seen him at a local toy show, although it's not very often because he travels between here and Japan, and know someone in which has contact with him. If I can find his ebay user ID/email address or can get in contact with him through this other guy I will definitely inquire for everyone (I need an opener too :D ). I'll let you guys know if I get in contact with him.

Hey SWAFMAN,I have two versions of that remote AT-AT,one has the big window box and the other is the small window box, they are both KB toy exclusives, what's that third button for that your talking about?

take a look at r2dee2's scans (http://www.twinsuntimes.com/toyforce/IMAGES/remotecontrolkbjcpcompare.jpg), the three button at-at has a light with two red dots on either side at the front of the cockpit, in lieu of the red straight bar that is on all the 2 button at-at's.

sid, several years back, jc penny had offered a three button remote control at-at as an exclusive, the third button provides sound effects.

the other jc penny exclusive was a trilogy gift set which includes fully painted versions of the 1st series of x-ray vehicles, plus an x-ray version of the shuttle tydrium. this was the only way to get the x-ray version of the shuttle (as well as the fully painted versions of the other vehicles)

I wouldn't pay anywhere near that for a pack to repainted commons. Ah, thanks BC3, you're right. Sorry, SWAFFY.

Right, I've had a search through my accessible boxes and can post the following - mostly AF - for trade. Usual trade arrangment whereby we can centralise through VT. Bear in mind though, that as these came from UK I paid more than you could probably get them for in US. (all boxed)

Episode 1 red box STAP - 5.99
Dagobah X-wing - 16.99
AF - Naboo fighter - 1.99
AF - 2 x TF droid fighters - 8.99 each
AF - AAT - 8.50
AF - 2 x MTT - 1.99 each
AF - yellow Y-wing 6.00
AF - 2 x red Y-wing 6.00 each
AF - Jek Porkins Xwing 6.00
AF - Nostromo 1.99
AF - Test shot Tie Defender from Galoob contest - *see below

I've got some more stuff somewhere, wherever my Star Trek AF-size ships are, I think but that's it for the time being. Just looking back on those above, I can't believe the small fortune I spent on what have become, to all intense and purposes, dust magnets. Mind you, in those lovely Ep1 days, I had a nice wage ;)

do you see what I see??? (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1743526036) (current price is under $5)

FYI... otoh gunga playset (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1742784675)

if this auction stays around this price, it's a great opportunity for someone to start their collection (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2115536248)

just for fun.... (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1743393550)

this will probably end up around $26, but just in case... the price is good now (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1742803543)

VT: I know the dropship and Narcissus should have the same stand, but I'm not sure about the APC. I'll double check the back of it's box when I get home. I hope they are the same.

I got the Array and Sisko's Bajoran Sailing Vessel in a trade a while back. Someone offered to trade them to me for a few other ST MMs. I ended up throwing in a lot more than he expected since it seemed like a very uneven trade. I was very happy and so was he. He said neither was mint but as close as I've looked at them I was never able to find anything wrong with either of them. So the Kazon Torpedo is still the only one I need.

Anyone know anything about this? It's quite generic looking, but I've never seen it before.

Hey SWAF

I have seen these at auction before - they usually go for about 15, so the start bid is very high.

I believe that they were given away as free-bees when you bought the Original Trilogy Box Set VHS a few years ago in the UK (I never bagged one).

Cheers

replaced my water damaged avon x-wing for one cent (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2114122702&ed=1024951714&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOA:US:2 )!

(please don't look at the shipping charge!)

((but I wasn't gonna let myself be ripped off. one cent was my maximum bid amount on the auction!))

Nice score!

I need a regular Luke X-wing. I only have Jek and have been trying to pick up a Luke, Wedge and Biggs (all the old Alphas, really) for cheap. If your old Avon Luke has a damaged box (but not toy) I'd like to take it off your hands if you are selling. I seem to remember you having a lot of extra Alphas on your list too. Let me know.

Also, totally off topic: how the hell do you get a link to have a name instead of showing the full address in this forum? If I'm not clear, what I mean is your link says "one cent". How did you do that? Regular HTML doesn't work in this forum and I don't see how to do it in the FAQ.

Haggie, to hyperlink text to a web page/site you have to use the 'post reply' button instead of the 'quick reply' window. When the 'post reply' window opens, you'll see a selection button for 'http' above the text window. Click that and you'll get two consecutive text entry fields. The first one is for you to enter whatever text you'd like to be displayed for the link, and the second one is for entering the hyperlink address itself.

Check out my checklist (http://home.adelphia.net/~jr44772/CollectionsPage.htm), then PM or e-mail me re: the Luke's X-wing, & alphas. I'm sure we can figure something out.

Sakay, I'll be awating your info as things develop. :)

If anyone's been looking for Care Taker Array, Kazon Torp or HMS Bounty Auctions:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1743245052 - Carded HMS Bounty set
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2115838193 - Loose set with Array, Kazon Torp, Voyager, Voy Shuttle, Kazon Fighter and Maquis Raider.

Both auctions are pretty expensive, but I thought I'd post them cause I was gonna get them but thanks to MMiataRacer (Warp_factor_10 - the name she uses as a "disguise" to buy stuff), the price jumped ridiculously.

APC - different stand.

I e-mailed the-horta about 10 days ago re: a death star playset auction that ended with no bids to ask if he'd sell it direct to me. He's a real piece of work. Not 'cause he declined the sale, heck I don't hold that against anyone, but his claim about the value/original list price is pretty thin. Those sets were going for about $5 at TRU a couple years ago. Here is his reply:

Not this item. They had been selling for $30-$50 each before the Galoob liduidation dropped a bunch on the market a couple of years ago. I have about 4 of them left but $25 is the cheapest I would sell this one for.

haggie

$25! What a joke. He might be able to sell them in a few years when there are less on the market. I passed them up at TRU when they had piles of them for $5 and later regretted it. Fortunately I was able to pick up one of each set for $1 each from an eBay seller a few months later.

I just looked carefully all over my APC box, and it doesn't show the stand anywhere. I'd like to see a pic of the APC's stand.

I wish I could find the stand for mine, but while I know exactly where my Aliens AF are, the stands are who knows where. I believe it was some ramps for the vehicle to drive up and sit upon, and has slots for the figures like other AF stands.

FYI, according to the seller, the alpha x-wing in post 239 (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=118428#post118428) above IS the white-striped version.

oh well, that discretely listed defender from post 224 (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=116408#post116408) of this thread has jumped from under $5 to nearly $100 with ~4 hours remaining.

GSJ: I just sent a message through SSG, but will post here just in case that doesn't go to your current e-mail address.

There's an Emblemless Green A-Wing up on ebay now with a Buy Now of 15.55. The descrip. says the image is of the actual item, so just go and buy it.

as many of you know, i'v been tracking the ellusive emblemless green wing for what seems an eternity, s43 sent me an e-mail giving me the heads up of an auction over at ebay for a boxed one. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1745842184)

the buyer had it with a buy it now price, unfortunately i did not see the e-mail in time, and someone placed a low bid to get the ball rolling.

i am currently the high bidder (the seller is keeping all bidders identity's a secret, so there's no way to see who the high bidder actually is)

anyway, i just wanted to say thanx s43, and hopefully, this quest o' mine will come to an end in approx. 6 days :)

Good Luck Jansen. :D

I can see why you'd want it, for some reason it looks more fitting to the rest of the generic painted Rebel ships without the emblems or at least without the lightning bolt emblem.

Great find S43! Good luck GSJ, I know you've been looking for this one for a LONG time!!!!...... I've had it on my list for my repayment for your JCP set you sent me. This one is rather hidden since it doesn't even mention that it is the emblem-less version, so hopefully it will not be a difficult win. Finger crossed for you:)!!!!!

good luck GSJ !!

i wonder why it's a secret bid auction?
my suspicious side keeps screaming "shill alert! shill alert! shill alert!"

i guess it'll be shipped in a discreet, plain brown wrapper, too!

pssst! hey, buddy. wanna buy some greens?

GSJ: I'm sorry you didn't se it in time to take it last night. Acording to SSG you were "online" when I posted it and e-mailed you. If you weren't I would have bought it for you then. SInce it didn't mention it was the emblemless version I figured there'd be plenty of time, at least however placed the bid probably didn't notice the variation otherwise they'd have to really optimistic placing a bid rather than taking it for 15.55. Well, hopefully nobiday notices it and you get it even cheaper than 15.55. Whatever you do you should hold off on bidding until shortly before it ends to hopefully make it go unnoticed by others.

I always place my bids right before an auction ends. Hmm, on that note I'll mention the following. There is an auction going which includes mini heads sets 6, 8, and 9. I've been watching it since it started and plan on winning it. So, I'd appreciate it if no one bids on it as I wil win it and would rather pay less than more.

R2: I've been searching for the emblemless green A-Wing for GSJ for over a year now for 2 reasons. He wants it and to repay the favor of him getting the 6 Jonny Quest MM sets for me.

The odd thing about this auction is that I'm pretty sure another (probably the same one) was seen on what I believe was/is the seller's website. Months ago there was a site mentioned in a thread where the seller (web_cheif I believe) had lots of high priced AFs. He had an image of an emblemless green A-Wing, but either wanted too much or never confirmed if it was in fact the emblemless version, it's been so long so I can't remember for sure. Oh well, I'l stop rambling.
