i know it has been a little bit shorter than 5 months, but around this time 5 months ago, we were really starting to talk about them. who is rare now? who are the peg warmers? who is going to be a peg warmer/a rare figure???
well, dooku, hd ani, and yoda are rare in ohio for the most part...
almost all of the first 27 besides the ones previously mentioned are peg warmers...(except for dexter)
i think any dooku or yoda in the future will be rare...not sure on the pegwarmers....
thoughts???

Who's rare? Really nobody it just depends on distribution, technically no one is rare cause theres always trading or buying elsewhere, maybe rare in your area but that'd be about as far as it goes. That's basically all it boils down to, peg-warmers and rarity for the Saga line are just based on distribution methods and timing plus the people in your area so while one item could be rare in one, it could be a peg-warmer in another.

Well, overall, I generally hear that Yoda, HD Anakin, and Dooku are rare. The only Yoda I've ever seen is the one that I've gotten.
I haven't seen any figures beyond #40 anywhere.

Nothing is rare, it is only hard to find. For cripes sake people, this is a movie year. Just because you can't find it the second that it comes out doesn't mean it's rare. How many people complained and moaned that Chewbacca: Cloud City Capture was RARE. Now look, he's peg warming in most places.

You just need patience, and to get out there in the early morning when stores open to grab the HTF stuff. Yoda, Dooku, and HD Anakin continued to ship alot longer then most of the peg-warmer figures, so they are not rare. Hell, Dooku and Yoda are still shipping in the next case even. :)

Chewie is warming the pegs here.
What sucks is that the only time I can get to stores is weekend afternoons. :frus:

Well, they don't stock typically on the weekend. No wonder you have never seen anything past figure #40 in your area. You may want to end up joining Kebco's "One of Every Figure" club. Or you may end up not getting these figures for quite a long time. :D

Jar Jar--

I'm aware that stock often comes on Tuesdays so it's gone by the weekends. However, I wonder--
All the waves after the first 27 have come out and are in stores here. So why can't I find anything after Djas Puhr?

Actually Wal-Mart and other places (they most likely vary) probably won't be getting new SW stuff in for a bit like mine because of holiday stuff. The shipments vary on the trucks so SW and other toys may not make it on shipments for awhile (I think the warehouses just ship in various shipments with what they feel is more needed for the store at that time) and so when the stores get the majority of their holiday stuff setup then we should see SW stuff shipping alot more, plus there will be backstock so there should be little shortage when it starts shipping.

Basker--

That theory makes lots of sense. Also probably explains why there's a sudden surge of LOTR figures.

thye stock stuff bettween tuesday and thursday here...but they have stocked some stuff on weekends before. oh, and JJB, everyone was saying dooku would be like maul and be widely availible after a month or so. it's been 5 months. but that is in my area. so i don't know about your area. that'd be why i was inderictly asking.
yeah...

Toys usually never get stocked on the weekend, unless they are gearing up for a sale. Yes, it happens but very rarely. Dooku is widely available, you just have to buy him before someone else does. Cripes, he's been included at 2 or 1 per case in almost every case since he came out. Yoda is the same way, but he's still shipping at 2 per case.

They won't be rare....it's a movie year. Even if you never see another one in your area, they will not be rare. Just look to Ebay to see where alot of those "rare" Yoda's are going. The only reason you aren't seeing them in Maul quantities, is because Hasbro isn't shipping straight cases of them. :p :)

It's not Hasbro's fault...it's greedy merchants that seemed to have forgotten that over ordering for E1 left them with a ton of overstock. They should have ordered in more conservative numbers instead of tons of cases right at the start. Hasbro's case pack outs have been excellent as of late. They get decent numbers of the new figures in the case, and carry over a few of the newer and more popular previous figures. :)

I just love it Wal-Mart had these "NEW ITEM!" tags around their LOTR stuff!! I'm like "yeah, new item!!! about November last year it was!!! To think i hunted like mad to find Strider. If I only had waited 10 months, I could've scored that figure so easily!!!

No new stuff when i was leaving columbus. The wal-mart here in Athens had the Deluxe C-3PO on sat, but dunno if he's still there or not. I just ordered my stuff from Kebco and am caught up completely. My new stuff should be arriving in a few weeks.

As said before, nothing is rare, it's just a matter of distribution. The super wal-mart where i was near had Dooku wave and he was chillin' on the pegs for a good week before they were all bought up. the bigger cities prolly get more of the shipments as well.

If you want to find new stuff go to Target right when they open. I found Lott Dodd, Tusken w/Masiff, Beard less Soilder, Watto, Acklays and the new 12 inch figures. It may be smart to ask when they stock though. This Target stocks before they open only, so I was able to make a great find. Maybe I'll go on the three hour trip again!

It seems like 5 months since I last got a new figure!

It seems like a lot of stores didn't do their homework. They way overordered the initial waves from the AOTC line and are stuck with them. They lowered their price (Wally-Mart for instance from $5.86 to $4.77) and that didn't do much good. I just hope the newer waves don't skip stores because of the lack of peg space. Not worried yet, just a little concerned because I would have usually found them by now. But I know at some not so distant future, the figures I crave will probably be pegwarmers and I'll wonder why I fretted over not seeing them.

I've been in stores where Mundi and Teemtos were warming with Palps and Han. I wish I lived there though.

I have yet to see a Dooku on the pegs here. I'm not sure how this is possible - as I am always on the hunt - but it's a fact.

Dooku is definitely still a hard one to find. Yoda's and HD Anakin's both shipped recently (in multiples) in the K-Mart double packs, so those are probably easier to find now. I've never seen the Massif, but maybe I just haven't been looking hard enough.
