Hello :) I just wanted to mention something on my mind. Although I am new to this forum and still learning the rules etc. I have posted in the wrong place once and mis posted a thread that later I found out a similar one had been posted by another member. I've been informed of my mistakes by members in harsh ways and in comical ways. All I have to say is dont kill the newbie please :) From what I understand people have abused this forum and alot of termoil has surrounded it recently but dont kick the newbies when mistakes are made. We are human..are we not? Even droids make mistakes...although the chances are a billion to one :)

PS: I hope I didnt post this in the wrong place!

PSS: I really like the feedback section for trades too! It gives me alot more security about making trades in the future.

Sorry, you've posted this in the wrong place ;) :p

Don't worry about it, most of us in here are pretty forgiving.

At first, I thought "this might have to go to How Do I/Newbies", but it's really more a statement for the readers IMO so I guess this section or Gen Disc is probably the best place. As you can see, I've been on these forums since day 1 and even I don't know exactly where this goes. :D

I must be the worst poster in the history of SSG forums.. LOL. Thanks Tricks for the late inning save :)

I have a hard enough time trying to make all my paper work match up at work. Now I have to triple check my posts! Geeez! LOL (Just Joking)

Not at all m'boy, not at all. (this is only funny if read in W.C. Fields' voice and you know who that is ;))

Don't worry about posting in the wrong place. I mean, try to avoid it, but don't get bent out of shape if you do. Most of us here are very forgiving, as previously stated. I've been to forums (Not just SW ones) than will ban you if you post in the wrong section 3 or more times, or if a lot of posts are under 10 words (Which is why I think I am pretty good about that), and that is just ridiculous. But we aren't like that here, so don't worry. You won't get any flames from me for posting in the wrong section or anything. :)

Tricks Dahlin' I'm a girl..wait I mean Ladie LOL :) I dug the WC Fields impress LOL

Thanks DS now I can feel more comfy. I think I need posting 101 or something (smile)

Haha, posting 101 is unnecessary. Just join a few harsh forums and they'll have you posting the right things in the exact right spots in days. :D I can't think of any right now, but they are terrible. It's like Auschwitz online. But these are by far the most hospitable forums I have ever seen. Everyone's so nice!

Dont mean to pad post but I had to (smile) atcha' DS. LOL

Forget 101 I'm going to hook up some sort of contraption that gives me a good shock every time I mess up! I agree with you so far...I used to be in another SW forum and the folks were vicious!

That wasn't post padding, at least not in my opinion. It was a good post, it relates to the subject of newbie bashing and what not. If I got a shock every time I messed up I'd be dead. :D Which forum were you in? I'd like to check it out...

I was on rebelscum for along time but after I posted some negative feedback about our experience at C2 I got bashed then I started getting flooded with harassing email about race and gender......to make a loooooooong story short I left the forum completely.

I see. I avoid posting there too, from what I've seen it's not nearly as friendly as SSG. I've been a member there for a long time, and my postcount is 0. :D I check it out for reviews and news and stuff, but thats about it. I don't like the color scheme either. SSG's "Friendly" color scheme reminds me of Bespin. RS's reminds me of the dark secret meeting room on Geonosis. But I'm not going to go on bashing RS, it really is a good site. But don't let mean people bother you. They remind me of Rick McCallum-They never know what the Hell they are talking about. Except they aren't awesome like Rick McCallum is. :D They arent worth worrying about, they're just arses. Just ignore any people like that on these Forums. I'm not saying ignore mods, you should listen to them, but then again, all the mods are very nice and so is SirSteve so you shouldn't have any problems getting along with them. :)

Thanks DS :) I dont let mean folks bother me "to" much I'm an X-K9 Officer and Sar Unit Leader so I've had my fair share of mean folks..I put them on ignore. Now if they were in front of me in person (devilish grin) thats a different story completly! I still check out RS but just not the forums.

I'm susbribed to the RS forums too but only check out international collection (some french people there), customizations (I love to see customs and dioramas made by others) and wuher's cantina
I like RS but SSG is much better
oh and master silas, don't worry, we all were newbies at some point :) (at least most of us)

Thanks Maul..thats a good way to look at it :) You like customs?? My hubby and I make scale models from scatch ships, and full size prop type replicas totally from scratch of lifesize droids, such as a battle droid thats fully articulated and I think around 6 feet tall. I think his (my hubbys) ships are much better quality and detail then the Tantive 5 that was made. :)

I only have all the "official" cds
do you know "the lost tapes"? I think that is kinda what you mean, but the cd was about 20$ so I didn't buy it
so I guess you're a Tupac fan too?:)

Jedi Master Silas
09-21-2002, 05:40 PM
Yes I really liked Tupac..I thought he was extremly talented. It's very sad to see such talented young folks loose their lives so sencelessly. I have the the lost tapes but I'm talking about some samples my cousins boyfriend found online called "unreleased 2Pac songs" and it said "underground tunes" or something like that. I havent been able to find the site again but the rhyme was hype!!! :) I'd never heard any of the tunes we heard before ...at first I thought maybe they were remixes but like rhymes were different then anything I've heard before. :)

If you dont mind me asking whats the 187 mean in your name??

187-Maul
09-22-2002, 12:01 PM
of course I don't mind
187 is the police code for "murder" (like said in alot of rap songs)
and since Darth Maul was killed, or MURDERED, I just used 187
so the name basically is "Dead- Maul"
oh and I used Maul cause I'm a big Darth Maul fan
