Does anyone have any info on The Simpsons: The Complete Third Season DVD? About 3 months back there was rumours going round that it will be out on the 3rd December, but we're nearly there and there's been nothing in the way of news about it for some time. So does anyone know?

Also did anyone get a leaflet about it in The Treehoue Of Horror DVD? I only got one about the book Beyond Forever.

Please help me!!!

No info so far about the third season. After the first and especially the second season were pushed back, I have no clue at all when it will be released. I'll keep my eye out for information. :)

God if only The Simpsons was more like Star Wars, but they keep things under wraps, right up untill the release!

What ever happened to trying to release these things 6 months apart? At this rate even the youngest fan will be dead before the last season hits DVD.

Pretty much. Atleast Fox is cranking the M*A*S*H sets a bit faster. Of course, other then restoring the episodes, they don't do any extras for them. Well, if you don't consider being able to watch the episodes without laugh tracks an extra. :p :)

Fox sure is taking their time with the Simpsons DVDs. Look at the Star Trek Next Generation sets. A whole season with a ton of dics comes out every month. Now thats fast!

Jek Porky 2002, My THOH3 set had a sheet with the Season 1 & 2 shown on it. But alas, no information on Season 3 yet.

As reported by Coming Soon.....

Fox Home Entertainment has set an August 26 street date for the release of the third season of The Simpsons on DVD. The studio had originally indicated season three would be out by June, then pushed the date back to July.

Season one of The Simpsons sold a record 1.6 million boxed sets, while the second season moved out an estimated 1.25 million copies.

Fox has set a $49.98 suggested retail price for the four-disc collection of 24 episodes from the 1991-92 season. In addition to commentary, the set will include a discussion of animation with Matt Groening, Jim Brooks and Al Jean; outtakes from numerous episodes; audio of a table read for "Treehouse of Horror II"; an 11-song jukebox feature; and Fox promos for the show.

If you go to Amazon.com they have Futurama Season 2 released on Sept. 2 2003...but that's here in the USA. I know you guys got Futurama vol. 1 earlier than we did, but that's about the only blurb of info I got about this set.

Simpsons 3...who knows. I wonder if there's any "rights" issues with stations re-airing old episodes or anything like that...

I like the comment that Weird Al made on his website about the season sets.

"Al made a celebrity cameo appearance on The Simpsons, singing "Homer & Marge" (a parody of John Mellencamp's "Jack & Diane") while the band accompanied him! The episode (#EABF12) first aired on April 13, so keep an eye out for reruns! And be sure to pick up a copy of the Season 14 DVDs when they come out... in 7 or 8 years!"

It was a sign from God that the 3rd season was released on my birthday so I made sure to pick it up as soon as the checked cleared. Man this season ROCKS. Season 3 is really when the Simpsons hit their stride and had fully developed the characters that we know and love. These disks will be getting a lot of play in the DVD player over the next few months. I love the feature where you can play all the episodes on the disc in order without having to go back to the menu. Start it up and let it run!

I'll pick these up, maybe for christmas. I think seasons 3-7ish were the best years of the Simpsons. I love "Homer at Bat" though, CLASSIC episode.

Well, mr. burns had done it, the power plant had won it, with roger clemmens clucking all the while.... :crazed:

On a similar note my dad on a recent trip to New Mexico picked me up an Albuquerque Isotopes t-shirt when he went to a game. I was just wearing it proudly yesterday. :) I know Isotopes came from the episode where Homer was the mascot but the Homer at Bat episode made me think of it.

....we're talkin' Homer, Ozzy and the Straw.

EP- you are thinking of "Hungry Hungry Homer" which is one of my favorite episodes, for my alter-ego and hero, Duff Man, makes a fair amount of screen time and delivers some CLASSIC LINES.

"Duff Man is thrusting in the direction of the problem!"
"Duff Man has a bad feeling about this." "Can it sid!" "Hey, you can it, Howard!"
"New feelings brewing in Duff Man! What would...jesus do??!"

Also has that HILARIOUS last scene with the Mayor of Albuquerque.
"They'll play whatever i tell them to. For I am, the Mayor of Albuquerque!" (cue evil music)

Side note: that ending was longer, but the actual Mayor asked the clip get shortened. :crazed:

Nearly picked up season 3, but i just can't bare to do it right now. I did however pick up the "Treehouse of Horrors" DVD for only 10 bucks!! Has
Treehouse of Horrors V, VI, VII and XII. Great buy for only 10 bucks! cheers!! :D
