Ok, disreguarding everyone's prejudice about Lucas directing the prequals (this meaning, don't look at the way Lucas is directing the prequals since alot of people think he is a bad director because of peoples thoughts of the prequals, i dont think this way however, i still think he's doin a good job, but just think of how he directed the first star wars), how do you think ESB and ROTJ would have turned out if Lucas directed them too?

From what I've heard, Lucas directed a lot of ROTJ both directly and indirectly, turning Marquand into a puppet. Apparently, by 1982, Lucas really liked using puppets. :D I believe if Lucas had directed ESB, the film would be about 20 minutes longer and have very little impact at the end. It would feel a lot more like a straight-up copy of Star Wars and the actors would probably show frustration with their lack of direction by poor acting (a la Harrison Ford in ROTJ).
