Has anybody got the free tie fighter yet? I was just curious...

Nope. But I expect it soon. I've heard reports of people in the mid-west getting them yesterday.

Were you notified that you won? Or are you just presuming that you were one of the first 5,000, since they seemed to have closed it down a day after they opened it. I'm just curious, since I thought I signed up pretty early, but I don't believe I've ever gotten any notification that I was successful. Maybe I missed something.

I did get a confirmation message when I signed up, so who knows.

I signed up also and received the confirmation when I did. I'll let you know when it's in.....it's being shipped to my second address. My secret stash of toys:greedy:

Yep, got a confirmation message when I signed up. It was just another webpage stating that my information was accepted and that I should be getting the mini tie. But I didn't receive a separate email later confirming the registration if that's what you mean.

Yes, actually, I did mean an e-mail confirmation. I SEEM to recall getting a webpage confirmation, but frankly don't remember. Guess I'll just keep my eyes open.

I know I have web page confirmation as well. But as for an e-mail... Well I might I gotten one and trashed right away because of the early confirmation. I'll be waiting too I guess.

I also got mine today, and I just wanted to thank the folks at Sir Steve's for letting me know about it!!

Mine came in the mail today as well. Pretty nifty. I might have to get the rest of these mini sets.

:frus: I'm still waiting for mine. But I am on the west coast and anything mailed from the east usually takes a week.

Got mine today, very NICE!

I got mine yesterday. I am not a Legos fan, but it is ok (I guess). I'm just giving it as a stocking stuffer anyway.

Got mine today (er...I mean yesterday 12-19-2002) and I'm in Southern California, so if you're on the West Coast, expect it very soon. Still not sure if I should open it though. It's a fairly simple set and I could build one from spare parts that I have.

MC, I was thinking the same thing about building my own, but when I checked my supplies, all the black A-shaped pieces I had were used up in this year's building frenzy, so I'll be building mine for sure once I get it.

Thanks for the SoCal 411, I'll pester my mail carrier tomorrow. :D

 No sign of mine yet! Anyone else from Washington State received theirs yet? I beginning to wonder if the website gave me a false confirmation that I was one of the lucky 5,000.

12-21-2002, 01:57 PM
For those of us who were definitely NOT part of the lucky 5000, would someone who has opened theirs post a parts list (or better yet, an image of the parts) and the building instructions? That way we can build our own. Thanks! :D

Whoo hoo! Mine showed up yesterday.

Have decided not to open it at this point. I have a decent little collection of Fan Club membership kits and stuff like that. This item fits in pretty well at the moment.

I'll probably change my mind down the line, but for now, it's trapped.:Pirate:

WHAT, you guys got them in Cali already, I'm in Arizona. Did the Post Office just skip me? Now I gotta wait till Monday for it.

I finally got mine, on Saturday! It may have been there on Friday, but I didn't get an opportunity to check then. Nice set, the mailing box got pretty bashed but everything inside was pristine, including that THICK cardboard insert. ;)

Fun little set, not totally accurate (center pod sits a half-stud too far forward, barely noticable though), not exactly a challenging build but as soon as I was done with it, I was flying it around and making noises, then I dug into my unused parts and built a little rebel-esque fighter for the TIE to dogfight with. :D

Yep, mine came yesterday. My box was a bit beat up too. But everything inside was fine.

I'm happy now, as I got my yesterday. And I've got to say its not a bad little bugger. I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the minis.

I got mine several weeks ago :D Still looking for the mini sets that should be in stores. Went and browsed a Wal-Mart tonight, no luck.

Instead of waiting for the mini sets to come out in the stores, I just ordered the lot of 4 from Lego.com. Shipping was only $2.95 US and they came within a week. They are very nice. The X-Wing and Snowspeeder are my favourites.

You are right on that, I went to Wal-Mart again yesterday, and found just an empty shelf space where the mini lego sets should be.

One problem, my 11 year old son is now living with me, and I'll have to buy him a set to keep him quiet about this to his mom. He almost confiscated my mini tie fighter.
