My hubby said that Yoda is older then the force. Is that true?? If so did he create the force somehow??

Your hubby is wrong. :)

Majorly wrong. And I'm not even going to use EU to explain why. I'll leave that to someone that actually follows it more. Note the fact that Ki-Adi-Mundi states in E1, that the Sith have been extinct for a millenium. Yoda is only 800+ years old in E1.

So the fact that the Jedi and the Sith existed long before that, means that Yoda did not invent the force. His species may have been among the earliest force users though, but that is questionable. Since we know very little about them. :)

Just going by the mystery of the Yoda's race, the fact it's the one that Lucas won't allow to be expanded. Plus their long lifespans. Also, taking into account the "Journal of the Whills" stuff, from the ANH novel. It's just a personal opinion, since Eu isn't even allowed to expand on Yoda's species. :)

The Jedi Order is ancient. It spanned over a thousand generations. By the time Yoda was born, the Jedi and the Force had been around for awhile.

Well, with the way the prequel trilogy has been going so far, I wouldn't be surprised if Yoda said he invented the Force, kind of like Al Gore and the Internet.

Though Yoda may be older than dirt, he is NOT older than the Force.
