I opened mine and thought I'd tell a little about it. first off it was almost impossible to get the figures out of the box because of all the twisty wire and those clear rubber bands. but I got it open and was very pleased. The luke is great as far as his face and hair goes. his hair is not quite like the rest of the lukes. It is a different shade wich makes it look wet.
he has a terrified look on his face which is very appropriate fo the scene. his stormtrooper outfit looks great. it has stuff on it to look like trash and other stuff is on it. the only bad things about luke is his arms are positioned in a strange way, and cannot bend in any other pose. and after you get the gun out of his hands from getting the clear band off, he cant really hold it anymore. One cool thing though is lukes knees bend and pivot very well. The han solo is great. his knees dont bend but he is created in a good pose, he dosnt need re positiond he can hold his gun his hands are formed more tightly. his outfit looks like it has trash on it, but his hair does not appear wet and messy like lukes. He looks like he has dry flowing hair. han looks exactly like han solo. the compacctor piece they come with comes with some loose junk on it, bares and metal, things to root through like real trash. the creature is very unique, you can put it on the bottom of the compactor or take it off. when you take it off you can get a good look at its mouth and all its teeth. It is a very good set, well detailed, and is great to display in or out of the package. If you see it get it

something else I ment to mention was that the storm trooper helmets do fit on these, but they look very strange theyre too big. they look wrong. if you put the helmet on han to much it would wear his hair off. it dosnt fit perfect on him.

Argh, what a joke!

I have been waiting a long time for a great Han and Luke is Stormtrooper disguise. It seems that these will disappont me...yet again.

Of course, I will still buy them. Just like I bought the POTF2 Luke Stormtrooper, Fruit Loop Han Stormtrooper, Luke Stormtrooper (Escape the Death Star game) and Death Star Escape Cinema Scene.

:crazed:

keithfite, have these been released to retail yet, or did you get yours online?

I love these sets. I opened mine recently and think they were well worth the money. The dianoga and all the background detail really make these scenes. I hope Hasbro does many more like it in the future.

Oz Otter, yes they have made it to retail. I got mine at a Wal-mart in MD just after Thanksgiving but haven't seen them since. They should be returning soon and in greater numbers.

Sith Killer, you can make easy customs of Luke and Han in Stormtrooper gear using your favorite heads and commtech stormtroopers. I made 2 lukes, one using a potj sandtrooper and the head from the Luke that came with the death star game and another using commtech luke and a commtech stormy. I even "dremmeled" ou the helmets of the commtech troopers to make the helmets fit on.

There hasnt been that many released it seems. everywhere people find em there is just a few and there gone in a flash. they have to give people more chances. I got em on the 16 of dec. and have never seen em since. No one else I know who collects em around here has em. I hope more are shipped. best of luck to ya

I finally scored an extra set of these to open, and gotta say, they are cool.

There are many good points with these:

1) Han in Stormtrooper gear - awsome. Should of come with a helmet.

2) detailing on Chewie -- best head yet.

3) Diagona - awsome

4) Luke - aside from the super specific head and body detailing, he is well done

5) the set themselves - well done

The only real bad -

1) Lack of ARTICULATION on Chewie, and why have a removable bandolier that is glued on?!?!

2) Leia's face - wow, baby got ugly with this set. Commtech Leia is still the best...by a mile.

3) Price - $3 too much for what we get, IMO.

Overall, considering the negativity with these (and on the Internet, what a shocker!!!), these are much better than I was starting to fear.

I KNEW it was a separate bandolier! Thanks for the info, and good job Hasbro!

As for being glued on, can it be peeled off?

I disagree with Amanamatt, the Solo should not have come with a helmet. As you recall, both Luke and Han had pretty much ditched the helmets by this time. Han left his on the counsol after they blasted the room up, and Luke left his in the princess's cell. I love this set so much, that I bought 2 of each. I have yet to see them in Illinois Wal-Mart stores, but I did find them in Wisconsin and Georgia.

Cool review. I wonder to myself if I would get this piece. I was actually thinking of going ahead with a DIORAMA of this.

Oh well at least now I can weigh the options better...

Thanks.
