Hasbro, you have several chances to make screen scenes that are even better than the Trash Compactors, how about cutting back on the gimmicks and throwing the money into these? :D

Royal Starship screen scenes:

Royal Starship Droid hold made up of two sections. One with half of the hold, the other with the other half. Each one would three droids with their harnesses. Even though there were eight slots on the Royal Starship for droids (and two empty harnesses), all you'd have to make is six. You could use the R2 w/ Holo Leia for all of them. It'd even give ya the chance to finally release a new R5 droid.

Royal Starship Throne Room made up of two sections. Basically just like the Droid hold, it's split right down the middle. Each section is put together to make the throne room (and the throne, which is also split in half) and comes with two or three figures. If it's two figures then each would come with two handmaidens since we have Travel Amidala from POTJ, or if it was three then it'd be 2 handmaidens, new Travel Amidala (with softgoods for sitting on the throne), and a new Panaka.

Imperial Screen Scene:

Bespin Ambush,
Imperial Officer (Jeremy Bulloch), Stormtrooper (posed with double handed grip and marching, NOT RUNNING) possibly two Stormtroopers just like that. (Since Bespin Escape Leia from POTJ was definitely not hard to find) Which connects to it's counterpart which has a new Lobot, black Bespin Guard and other Bespin Guard. (white?) Key thing to remember here is that no one had an extreme pose, when the Bespin Guards and Lobot drew their blasters, they were just standing casually and the Imperials didn't move much.

Rebel Screen Scene:

Hoth Comms center,
Console with seated Rebel, Riekken and Leia standing with it. Pretty simple.

I saw the Trash Compactor figures for the first time today. Congratulations Hasbro, these are absolutely beautiful figures that someone has obviously very lovingly and painstakingly put a lot of work into.

Too bad I was at Big Apple Con and the guy wanted $75 for the pair! I have never seen them at Walmart.

I picked up one set of compacters at a Wal-Mart in Minoqua, Wisconsin. I bought a second set at a Wal-Fart in Georgia. I have also seen sets here and there at various Wal-Marts, just keep your eyes open, or ask one of the people who work there. Occasionally they have them in back, because the "Mod" was not set and therefore there is no place on the shelf to put them.

Are you kidding, 99% of Walmart "workers" are lazy. All I hear is:

"Sorry, whatever we have is all out on the shelf already."
or
"Come back tomorrow, because new stock is put out every weekday."
or
They don't even know or wanna know where to look.

Easy for you to say, boba. :D

I used to work at a Wal-Mart overnights. It was unbelievable how lazy some of the people working there were. I know that if the mod was not set for an item, we weren't supposed to put it out, so back into the backroom it went. The department I worked in, we kept all the non modular, or "new mod" stock in a seperate bin or pallet until the department manager set the mod. Now they have a lot of people who speak very little English working there, and they just plug the shelves with whatever, which is why some Wal-Marts look like crap. I was at one tonight, and they had stuff in the toy department that was all over the place. It doesn't help that the customers come in and just dump unwanted merchandise several isles over. It also doesn't help when the employees don't take time to keep the shelves in decent shape.

BTW, I was one of the 1% of the employees who cared, and busted my butt there, and they fired me, so I have no love for Wal-Mart. If it wasn't for the SW exclusives, I wouldn't even bother going in.

That's too bad. They need more employees like you. But now that you're not there anymore, they're back at 100%.

I don't like my Walmart either. I patrol the toy section 6 times a week, and never is there anything new. They're all a bunch of Harrison Ford fans, I tell ya. All they stock is Han - Endor Raid. :D :p

Yes, and now they are fighting my unemployment benifits. After I was fired, I applied for unemployment and it was allowed. Now Wal-Fart is appealing it, and I have a hearing at 9:00 Tuesday morning. If they win, it will put a damper on my collecting for awhile. It's been very hard trying to find employment out there, when I'm a single parent as my 11 year old son came to live with me.

When I was working there, they marked down some of the 4" figures to $1.00. Then the new figures started rolling in, at $1.00, so not only are they lazy, but stupid. Well, enough complaining about it. Back to screen scenes, right?

Update, Wal-Mart has withdrawn their pathetic appeal of my unemployment! Not that anyone cares, but as a father and a colector, it makes me a very happy man, and lifts a world of stress off of my shoulders.

I think they did a fantastic job with the trash compactor scenes. I'd love to see more of these. Han and luke with a sliced open taun-taun comes to mind. They could also do a Jedi one with Luke and Han tied to the spits for roasting and 3-p0 in the chair.

Yes, the trash compactors are absolutely fantastic. I hope to see more screen scenes come out this year, no matter what the figures/scene it's gonna be. Thank you hasbro. :)

I care, glad you got the severence sorted and your getting your dues bobafrett.

I have been dithering about the trash compactor sets but finally caved in last night and ordered them just because i must have that dianoga. I'm not too fussed on the Chewbacca or leia as i have a box full of those but the Luke and Han will be useful, well the han will. Don't know if anyone else bought a pack of those build your own commtech stormtroopers that came all in pieces from Hong Kong, but i never got round to making all of mine so i could swap out hans head for a spare stormtrooper head and have a stormie in a cool pose, Han looks like he's got a two handed blaster firing thing going on there and just for a little difference in the ranks i'll make a sharp shooter stormie possibly. Depends on how much i like the figure when i get it. Luke is a little short to be used as a real stormie but i guess he could be used as a dead one. The Dianoga is going to become a pet for jabba in my Tatooine casino scene. Going to make a big tank thing built into one wall and the Dianoga will be on show. Kinda like the James bond movies where the baddie has a tank of sharks to intimidate his minions with. Jabba is a real role model to me. "entertain me or die" I like that.

I have a list of 20 screen scenes that I would like to see made. I need to find it and post it. I think some of the screen scenes most of you will agree would be great.

Hey LTBasker, just thought I would chime in on your post, and although I would not really want to see your first three Screen Scenes made because they have too many rehashes. I like the droid idea, but would not jump for joy because of some other great concepts. The Bespin one is way cool. Having a new Lobot (even though he's already made, I whole heartedly agree for a neutral pose) and different Bespin guards would be nice. With Reikan on the way and an already exceptional Hoth Leia I would want to pass on the hoth.

Here's some suggestions I would have:

Although it's allready been rummored how about

Lars Homestead:
Clieg Lars, Owen and Beru

Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's office:
Palpatine in chair (with enough articulation to stand), Sly Moore and Mas Amedda.

Death Star Conferance room:
With whatever officers, and a piece of the conferance table. We need General Tagge, and that Grand Admiral. That could be more than one screen scene set if you need multiples!

Jabba's palace and/or Cantina screen scenes:
There is so many aliens in both categories yet to be done. Pick some and throw them together.

What about Senator Pod three packs:
Throw three senators of the same race in one pack with a hover platform that is totally removable and to scale, and there will be an unlimited supply of screen scenes.

Anyways just some passing ideas. Cool topic LT

BTW, I have an extra (3rd) set of Trash compactors in case anyone didn't get them during their brief stay on the Wal-Mart shelves. One set does have a cut across the top of the box where an eager employee cut the case. Otherwise, both sets are unopened, and I picked them up for those who don't live anywhere near a Wal-Mart, and didn't have a chance to get them. I will part with this one set (Han & Luke + Leia & Chewie) for what I paid, plus $5 to ship them to you. Unless you live overseas, which I will have to check on. First person to PM me will get a to claim them.

I do like the set! I have one complete set opened, and one complete set still in the box for my own collection gratification!
