View Full Version : Deleted Scenes Figures: Any Intrest??

02-12-2003, 06:10 PM
We've gotten Luke w/ Floppy Hat, R2-D2 w/Booster Rockets, SP-4 & JN-66 Jedi Archival Droid 2-Pack, and probably a couple more that slip my mind. But is anyone intrested in a few more deleted scenes figures. There is a lot that could be tapped. Sure, figures from the actual movies would be my first option, but I think that with the DVD of E1 and E2, and the future E3 and classic DVD's featuring deleted scenes, we could get some intresting figures. :)

The Phantom Menace:
Young Greedo

Attack of the Clones:
Padmé Amidala: Senate "Vampire" Outfit
Padmé Amidala: Blue "Homecoming" Outfit
Jobal Naberrie: Padmé's Mother
Pooja Naberrie & Ryoo Naberrie (2-pack): Sola Naberrie's Daughters
Ruwee Naberrie: Padmé's Father
Sola Naberrie: Padmé's Sister
Jango Fett: Poncho

A New Hope:
Biggs Darklighter: Academy Uniform
Jenny: Han Solo's "Girlfriend"

Empire Strikes Back:
Luke Skywalker: Snowspeeder Gear w/Cannon
Various Adult and Child Wampa's
Snowtrooper: Wampa Damage

Return of the Jedi
Chewbacca: Tatooine Sandstorm
Han Solo: Tatooine Sandstorm
Lando Calrissian: Tatooine Sandstorm
Luke Skywalker: Tatooine Sandstorm
Princess Leia: Tatooine Sandstorm

If I forgot anyone, please let me know. It was tough to recall all the different cut things that they could make. I agree though, some of them are probably real longshots. Especially Padme's Family and Luke's friends from Anchorhead. Especially since one of them turned out to be a soft porn actress. I'll link to some nice pictures of our heroes from the Sandstorm sequence. I think almost everyone knows the other charecters and pictures. If not, just ask for a picture, I'll try to dig one up. :)

The anchorhead ones sure but the Naberrie family are dull. The sandstorm ones are sort of interesting offering potential for customising. goggles and cloaks and stff are cool. But I like the idea of getting Luke's friends. More human Tatooine characters the better.

You also forgot:

Kitster riding the Eopie.

Mot Not rab Coruscant taxi driver with Taxi vehicle.

lightsaber damage Sith dark eye probe droid. Which would come with Jira who would be in a 'not noticing a large floating black thing' pose and her stall.

General Madine in the command seat of a Mon Calamari cruiser.

Moff Jerjerrod - royal guard force pike punishment (Jerjerrod doubled over in pain as the bolt from the royal guards pike hits him)

Luke skywalker jedi knight: Lightsaber construction with saber, Jawa and stove. Not a filmed scene, cut just before filming began, Luke builds his saber and places it into R2 in a cave not far from the Falcons secret landing site. It's in the novellisation of the movie.

Padme Geonosis with the flat topped hat that matches the cape. They must have shot takes with it but dropped it for the final takes.

I agree, the Naberrie family is pretty dull. I like Padme's blue outfit from those scnes though. And her Vampireish one from the senate is pretty neat also. And yeah, the Sandstorm ones would be a great idea. A chance for Hasbro to resculpt all the main charecters, but not get yelled at.

I didn't include Kitster on the Eopie, because I'm still hoping for that Kitster/Wald 2-pack. The Taxi Driver was re-added back to E1 for the DVD release, but I should have included him for the folks that only have VHS. Thanks for the reminder. :)

Jira was still in the film, when Anakin buys the fruit from her. I would love to see her released with her little fruit stand though. The deluxe line should give us stuff like that and Graga's Chuba Stand, instead of what they have been. :(

We need a General Madine, period. Hopefully him appearing on that new list will happen. I'd love to see both him and Admiral Ackbar released with the Mon Cal command chairs though. Likewise I didn't include Jerjerrod, because we need him period.

I like the Luke idea. A screen scene like that would be pretty neat. Apperantly some of that scene was shot, though I think it was only one direction, because Mark Hammil and Anthony Daniels remember filming part of it, on the Cinescape site. I think, I'll have to check my links again.

Thanks for the reminder of Padme's little cap, that matches her white jumpsuit outfit. I thought that was a pretty cool/weird look. I guess they thought she shouldn't go into battle looking like a fashion model though. ;) :D

Here's the links about the Lightsaber Construction Scenes, and Luke's dream and such. Anthony Daniels confirms that atleast some of it was shot. Intresting stuff in the following links. :)

Was this scene actually filmed? Yes, I believe it was. I conducted an interview with Anthony Daniels some years ago and asked him about the scene. Here`s how it went:

T`Bone: Do you recall anything at all about a Cut Scene from ROJ that involved Luke, R2, 3PO and possibly some jawas that was to take place BEFORE the droids go to Jabba`s palace to deliver Luke`smessage? I think it involved Luke placing his lightsaber in R2`s head.

AD: I filmed the background to this in Death Valley just before the road to Jabba (the last scene filmed in ROJ). It was a tiny crew and George and me. It was the best time I had in all four movies.

Yes!! Anything deleted scenes and Classic Trilogy I would definately buy, especially new characters (Tank, Windy, Fixer, Cammie).

Deleted scenes and prequel trilogy... I doubt it, it would have to be pretty cool.

I reckon George was trying to give Padme a Grace Jones strong and butch look with the hat on geonosis. But in the end she just ended up looking like a plant stand :D

derek will kill me for that. ;)

I don't really care for any of these characters/figs except Jango with poncho, he could be really cool if he was neutrally posed, but I'd rather have other characters from the movies first before we get characters that weren't even in the movies

Jargo, that pic makes her look like Q from Star Trek TNG.

02-12-2003, 07:34 PM
Honestly, prequel or classic, there is not 1 character there I'd like to see a figure of.

02-12-2003, 09:11 PM
I'd like to see a young greedo. that would be nifty!!! Or maybe a Kitster. I'd have to buy two of him, one to blow up in my yard.

Ah, c'mon!!! For those of us who played TPM RPG, all those "Booooga!" and "Tag, you're it!" were downright blasphemous!! I don't regret taking the saber to them all to this very day!! :D

As always, I'd prefer they concentrate on everyone that we haven't yet seen immortalized into 4 inches of plastic.

After that is accomplished, then I can more easily tolerate the run of resculpts on characters that have been done.

Then after that, I'm game for any offscreen or Expanded Universe characters.

The more the merrier, but I want them to prioritize based on the movies themselves.

I would defintley like to see figures from deleted scenes. I mean if they can make a Sketchtrooper why not actual characters that were not seen in the movies.

Honestly, I would like to see *cough* Jerjerrod *cough* :D, be made with a neutral pose and neutral facial expression, before I see my favorite Imperial Officer screaming like Mace or Padme.

I also would like to see all the on-film characters before deleted scenes, not that I don't want to see them.

Lando sandstorm, Padme hood-up, and Biggs academy are figures I would buy. We need a better disguised Lando anyway. Padme hood-up can serve as the "definitive" non-yelling facial expression version with removable cape/hood. Biggs, we need another one of him period.

But most importantly, MAKE MOFF JERJERROD!! :D

I'll take any of the ones from the classic trilogy.

Especially LANDO!!!!!!!!!!

stillakid is right on target. Let's concentrate on movies and not encourage Hasbro to focus on other figures. By encouraging the expanded stuff, we risk great figs like Yarna, Hermi Odle, etc.. figures to be evaded.

02-13-2003, 02:12 AM
I would like to see a twin pack of Luke floppy hat and Biggs AU that would make a nice sandy pack :p

02-13-2003, 06:35 AM
Well, yes, obviously stuff from the actual movies first, I'm just expressing an intrest (as JJB would have it), for this stuff.

Jerjerrod is a must have figure and that I will back 3,000,000,000 percent, if they gave him the articulation to get into the screaming in pain pose and still have the ability to stand to attention like a frightened wuss, that would be perfect.

As far as the lightsaber building scene goes, The designs for the Jawa stove are pretty cool and it'd be another way to get a jawa out with an accessory as well as all the ways to do them that exist already like with droids, with booze, sacked out in a doorway, with bits of stolen junk, trading with one another, dead and burning on a funeral pyre, carying R2-D2, holding a fan to cool Jabba with, podrace spectating. Lots of really cool ways to get more of the little smelly ones out. But, if this clone wars mini line can co-exist with the main line, then why can't a sub-line for deleted stuff also co-exist? I mean c'mon, fairs fair. If EU fans are getting all those figgies and stuff then why can't deleted scenes fans get something too?

I mean technically these deleted scenes are the only real EU.

I'm going to agree with stillakid. Movie figures first.

That Lando looks like an easy custom using Skiff Lando with a cape from someone like Labria or Dooku.

02-13-2003, 09:33 AM
any new unreleased star wars figure is game to me. if it's not made before and i don't have it, i want it, as long as it's star wars (movie or comic/novel)

02-13-2003, 10:46 AM
We should finish those of the movies first.

Anyway we still have got like 15 years! So plenty of time for those!

A Jango Fett in his poncho would do nicely, we haven't really seen many deleted scenes characters yet, I wonder if we'll see anything like that on the old Trilogy deleted Scenes?
I wonder if we'll actually see the Naberrie family, even in 15 years is there a chance?
Surely we saw a trimmed scene figure --> Count Dooku - Dark Lord, he came with a 2nd Lightsaber and there are pictures of him with 2 lightsabers.

02-13-2003, 02:08 PM
I'd liked to see established characters created first, then secondary characters.

If Hasbro wanted to, for example, release five deleted scene characters/EU characters for every 20 established characters, that's OK.

Good topic for conversation.

I would take Biggs, Camie, & Fixer over the concept Stormtrooper any day. I would love to see these done.
