We saw the cloning facilities on Kamino, but Yoda shows up with the army and the necessary transports to get them there as well as fight the battle. So does Kamino also have massive armory facilities as well? They'd almost have to in order for Yoda to have shown up just in the nick of time as he did.

You know, that's a good question....I never thought about it.

They don't have an army, so where did they get a fleet of vehicles from? I don't remember seeing any shipyards at Kamino.

Kamino is made up of many cities on stilts, just like Tipoca city where the clones are created. Perhaps all ships and weapons, etc are made on different cities.

The ships appeared to be there, for training purposes. After all, they do have to be trained how to fly and pilot those specific vehicles at some point. The Kaminoians had been training the first batch of clones for approx. 10 years at the point that Obi-Wan investigated. Couple in the fact that the clones had reached maturity, and were ready to be used.

According to the Offical Website, the ships and vehicles were developed in secret by Rothana Heavy Engineering. Which is clandestine subsidiary of Kuat Drive Yards. The same company that later gets all these Imperial Contracts from manufacturing their vessels. They also have a thing against the Commerce Guild, and especially the Trade Federation. Seems that they were used as a pawn, for later compinsation. Including the destruction/disbanding of the Commerce Guild and Trade Federation. ;) :)

While the Kaminoans labored to perfect an indomitable clone army, the neighboring shipyards of Rothana were subcontracted to develop the hardware, armor and transports for the new infantry. The bold lines and stark silhouettes of the resulting craft were departures from the polished craftsmanship of personalized styles that marked the final Republic era. Instead, the wedge-shaped assault ships were foreboding harbingers of the new era to come.

Developed by the engineers of Rothana, technological partners of the Kaminoans, the SPHA-T stands for "self propelled heavy artillery -- turbolaser."

The long-standing rift between the commerce guilds and Kuat Drive Yards was aggravated when the Neimoidians took control of the Trade Federation, in an event that resulted in the deaths of key Kuati executives. Distancing themselves from the other corporate titans, KDY partnered instead with the Supreme Chancellery, developing such vessels as the Delta-7 starfighter for the Jedi order.

The secret KDY subsidiary on Rothana crafted the Acclamator-class transport ship. Though designated a transport, the vessel carries enough firepower to be a considerable threat without its carried forces. A dozen quad turbolaser turrets line its surface, supplemented by 24 laser cannons and four missile / torpedo launch tubes.

So effective and impressive were the Acclamator designs that many leading shipbuilders looked on with envy, and began incorporating similar concepts into their own fleets. Rendili Stardrive followed a few short years later with the development of their historic Victory-class Star Destroyers.

The Republic assault ship can carry four dozen AT-TEs, three dozen SPHA-Ts, 320 speeder bikes, 80 Republic gunships, and 16,000 clone troopers.

I was going to say that... PLUS, if you look at the symbols on the Republic Gunships, it appears that those were added last minute as the paintjobs on them looked like slap-dash stencil spray-overs.
