Yes, it does seem to be very rare.
I passed on this at the time & haven't seen it for about a year.
I think I'll wait till the new builder four-pack comes out, though.

It's listed for 7 at www.toyarmy.net (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16359)

There are also a couple available on eBay, though none in the UK at the time of writing.

Try www.toy-palace.com. I just bought my army builder sets from there and they may also have the POTJ one too. Okay so the shipping is a bit steep but it is coming from germany. My stuff always arrives in mint condition from TP though. Plus, I bought five sandtrooper army builder sets and with shipping it worked out cheaper than R2's would have.

that is a great sculpt isn't it? I was at toy fair a few weeks ago and I saw one on Evil J's table. it caught my eye to the point that I questioned if I actually had one and had to come home and root through boxes until I found it. if you still haven't found one for yourself let me know or contact J yourself. being Canadian his pricing will probably be quite reasonable given the exchange rate on the pound.

just wondering, what does a new figure normally cost in pounds at a regular retail outlet?

HARDY

they normally cost about say 5.99 at toyrus and the like but for rarer new ones at comic shops about 10 pounds roughly!!

Or if you live in the less affluent North that would be around 8 at specialist retail with the older harder to find stuff from POTF2 going for anything from 5 to 20 dependng on percieved 'rarity value'.
I say nothing is rare, it's just hard to obtain. Hasbro doesn't make anything in small quantities, ergo, not rare. I would say that elusive is a more fitting term. There is absolutely nothing that has been released since 1995 that I've not been able to locate, the big sticking point is simply the amount one is prepared to hand over to obtain an item. :)

hmm, that kinda sucks. 6-8 is between $14-$20 Canadian or so, figures here go for $9-$10 each with tax, but once you add in the shipping you're no further ahead (unless you were getting a sizeable shipment and could avoid any duty). I feel for you, at $14 a pop I'd be out of the game for sure, I love my collection but that is a lot. as for the hard to find potf2 stuff, let me know what you're looking for, that stuff I may be able to find you a deal on. feel free to pm me any lists. on a related note, if anyone sees a sidious or naboo guard - pit droid 2 pack at a reasonable price, please let me know. sidious is preferred (with the nit-picky preference being either red or rusty two-tone droid) but either, or, or anything will do. I just want the toolbox.

just got my set of troop building sandtroopers and to be honest im not very immpressed the arms have crappy articulation they are all in some funky pose and the guns are sooo tiny what are thry supposed to be??

Those'll be the POTJ trooper guns, smaller than the POTF2 originals or the ones that came with the Stormtrooper Builder set.

I picked up my first ever POTJ Sandtrooper a week or so back and his gun is very small, too.
I was surprised to find that that he has less articulation than the CommTech Stormtrooper, but I suppose it stands to reason that the Builder Set might follow suit.
I'm just hoping that R2DToys gets these soon...

Best advice is just to keep searching on eBay and hope you get lucky. I'd been looking for one of these Sandtroopers for ages before I finally found mine through a seller who was offering dozens of loose figures.

I think this is one of the hardest-to-find figures in the POTJ range. I'd hoped to pick one up at the Collectormania fair at Milton Keynes a couple of weeks ago, but none of the stalls had any at all.

Good luck!

Do you mean the troop builder set of 4, Lewis, or the single carded Trooper? Either way, they're amazing and I'd encourage anyone to build up the troops with this figure! :)

At $21.60 each, US dollars, I would prefer to try Ebay! :crazed:

No kidding, especially if that's just for the one figure! I think EE has the troop builder sets for 18 plus shipping do they not? 4 for the price of 1!
