New TF G2 KB and Target exclusives released..

Hasbro has just released 3 repainted Generation 2 era toys. They are some of the best that era has to offer.

The Target exclusive is a repaint of G2 Dreadwing and Smokescreen. This set was also released in a Japanese Beast Wars series as Starscream and BB. Now we have them back in the states. Their names are pretty lame this time around.. Dreadwind and Smokejumper. :o They're nice toys though. I have the Japanese set, its very cool. I'll be picking up the new one as well. KB has the two "Hero" figures - Optimus Prime and Megatron repainted. But they are no longer those characters. Prime is repainted once again as Scourge, and Megatron is repainted and called Bludgeon. Pictures can be seen here. (http://www.tfkenkon.com/collection/act82/index.htm)

If you like Transformers, and your Decepticons need some reinforcements I recomend all 3 of these. :)

BTW - Despite the TF: Armada like packaging, these are NOT Armada. They are part of the Robots in Disguise line.

I mentioned Dreadwind/Smokejumper before in the Armada thread, in this post (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=224972#post224972). I'm pretty sure the G2 versions were Dreadwing & Smokescreen though, which were renamed in Japan B.B. & Starscream (Starscream was the SMALLER jet!!!). I'm not thrilled to see the use of light gray here though, and it appears that the missile launchers on Smokescreen/Smokejumper have been altered, but I'll get over it.

I'm jazzed to hear these are finally out, my Armada Decepticons really do need that help bad - they're so weak that I'm actually considering getting Cyclonus in his current colors.

I know you mentioned it in the Armada thread, and I had mentioned it before. But its not part of Armada, so I thought it should get another thread.

And you are right, it is Dreadwing, the site I was looking off has it listed wrong.

And Starscream IS the smaller jet, but it still reads Starscream and BB on the box. :)

I bought Dreadwind and Smokejumper today. (In my world I just refer to them as Dreadwing.) I deffinately prefer the new set over the Beast Wars 2 version. (Who I call Blitzwing.)

Any surprises or disappointments with them now that they're in your hands?

No dissapoints. I really like the paint scheme. The missles are a bit different than the older one, and I think its a good change. The old missles had a tendecy to shoot out by themselves.

Also some one made up a crazy Armada Megatron/Galvatron combiner using these two..
