Just kidding...

They drive me nuts, actually. I heard some of the women here at work talking about them and thought I was going to die! They were actually discussing how great they are for kids and "isn't it great how they've had such a successful career?"

Just thought I'd post this with that horrifying title just so people would take a look.

Any thoughts on the Olsen Midgets?

They've got monkey faces. I see it everytime I look at them.

I went to walmart to pick up a calendar for my office at the start of the year. I narrowed their selection down to two, mk&a or one featuring photos of outhouses. since I figured they were pretty much the same thing I decided to go with the real deal and went with the outhouses.

They are girls...they are twins...they are young. That is what I know...oh! Their names are Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Howard Stern says they are "Butter Faces" just like Tori Spelling. . . everything's good but her face! BAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!

I always thought that was hilarious when they'd say that on the show!

It'll be a cold day in "you know where" before I'll play one of their video games (and even then, I probably still wouldn't play them).

You should read the latest EGM's where Sean Baby attacks one of their games, LM.

I never did have anything against them, since I've never seen any of thier films or anything. And as for their looks, I think they are rather cute.

A girls opinion Amy. Females can find beauty in anything. My wife finds it in me, go figure.

But anyway I am tired of seeing there faces everywhere and my step-daughter always wants there clothes and they are hidious artifacts. I say thumbs down to thwe Olsen twins.

I had the "opportunity" to do some work with them when they were still fairly little. I don't intend this to be insulting, as most child actors go through this, but "trained monkey" is probably the best description one can make for them.

Despite that, you can't argue with the financial windfall their parent's have enjoyed by "guiding their careers" as it were. (But the pros and cons of putting your children to work for you is a whole different discussion.)

As far as looks go, I don't see the appeal. But I'm not really into that smooshed nose thing either.

Hahahahahahahaha!
The title of this thread totally got me.

For a very long time we've had a joke around my house ... whenever we see the twins on TV or something I'll say to my wife, "You know that Mary-Kate is pretty cute, but that Ashley is a dog." I'm not sure if that's funny outside of my house (or inside for that matter) ... but the joke is, besides the fact that they both look like chimps, that Ashley could eventually end up hating Mary-Kate because this "thing" would start going around that one's ugly and one's cute.

Let me say just two words "Full House". If I ever see that lame show on again, I'm going to bust my TV for therapy. Maybe when they reach 18, I can date then marry one of them, then use them for their money to complete my Star Wars collection! On second thought, I'll just be happy with what I've got.

I think they are..ugh..I don't know.I saw their clothes for "tweens" or whatever those snotty nosed brats are called, with some little accessories.I didnt see what was so great about the stuff...and I can't believe parents are buying the overpriced(IMO) items that girls will probably hate in 5-8 months:rolleyes:

Anyways..getting back to the actual twins themselves,I think they are trained more or less, into what the managers/parents/directors want.

DNA and SK thanks for the offer of assistance, but i've got jack kevorkian at hand. should be relatively painless.

can remember my younger siblings sitting around every friday evening to watch that horrid show that made stars of m-k and a. never really saw the humor in it myself. but then too many sitcoms have become hits and i've only been able to scratch my head and wonder why.

these girls will eventually end up in a Playboy spread, I'm sure of it.

...and they would rock all the more if they publicly drove an icepick into Bob Saggit's unfunny head.

I'm suprised it took 26 posts to get the first "they'll be naked in Playboy/porn before you know it" remark. It's almost uncanny that any time I have this conversation with another person they always say that. I'm not saying that it's a wrong thing to say but those 2 are more universally expected to show up naked at some point in their lives than any other person that I know of. How many other celebrities cause that remark? I can't think of any. It's got to come true if everyone believes it, right?

What's scary is that you have actually had enough conversations about these 2 to have this opinion:

I'm not saying that it's a wrong thing to say but those 2 are more universally expected to show up naked at some point in their lives than any other person that I know of.

For the record, I thought that honor had belonged to Drew Barrymore or Alysa Milano. Both of whom turned up naked!

I started this thread and hadn't been back to visit it for a couple weeks. I am dying at how long this thread has been running.

Troll dolls... monkeys... yeah... they appear to be all of those things... Girls Gone Wild... sure!

How about "Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in Rick McCallum's: Attack of the Twins"? That would be bloody scary!

You know that whole alleged controversy regarding the Tonnika sisters and how Hasbro can't make action figures of them because of a contract thing? It's all probably nonsense, but if not, maybe Lucas would consider digitally replacing them with the Olsen's for the Super-Nifty DVD Edition of ANH.

For that matter, maybe he'd replace the Modal Nodes with the Backstreet Boys. :D

However, replacing the Tonnika twins with the Olsen Twins, although I wouldn't like it permanently, would still be rather funny to see! :crazed:

JP, you certainly did start something ! :D

I made up this avatar and tried it out recently but it's wayyyyyyy too small so I took it down. I used it with the sig line,

"How Wude!"
--Jar Jar Binks, The Phantom Menace
--The Olsen Twins, Full House

Now, please be forgiving of the poor quality in this pic, it's fuzzy because I blew it up and the elements don't blend that well - but it didn't matter because I then shrunk it down for the avatar. :)

LOL I used to think they were very "homely" looking but over the past few years I think they have gotten very cute also.

I wouldnt mind having their money. I remember hearing that they are worth tens of millions of dollars! So they must be doing something right. :crazed: :D

The cruise ship I was on for vacation had a collage of pictures of its christening, or first voyage. And apparently the twins were there that day. The bell on the ship shows 2000 for a date. If that's true, wouldn't they have been 13 or 14 or something? Odd to have champagne and boats (from Holland) with child actors from America. I guess Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen do rule... the High Seas!!!
