Wow, this thread has the same subject as an e-mail I got earlier today! ;)

Mace doesn't look too bad. Not great, but not bad. Assajj is okay. I think it's more a problem with the character design than the figure, though. Both of them have some big honkin' lightsabers.

No pics yet of Kit and Sassy, but they're confirmed, I take it?

Just a bad joke, referring to the type of subject line on a lot of junk mail messages I (and I assume just about everyone else) receive. I never actually read one of them, but I have a pretty good guess of what type of site they advertise. :eek:

It's nice to know that we'll be getting resculpts of two of my favorite background Jedi. Hopefully they won't come with too much silly armor or anything. Kit Fisto, ARC Trooper, army builder sets. . . throw in those pack-in booklets, and I think I'm sold on this line. :D

I, for one, think the Asajj figure is pretty cool looking. The Mace figure... I'm not sure about at this point. It states he has a removable tunic. What portion of the tunic is removable? It's too hard to tell from that pic. Not really thrilled about another Saesee Tiin or Kit Fisto. I could certainly live without either of those two. *sigh* :(

Im totally psyched about this line of star wars. Some of the new vehicles are awsome, the basic collection looks great to me. and like it was said earlier, they are making more background jedi. and I want as much of them as possible. I love the 3 pack federation, clone, and jedi armies. and I like the destroyer droid launcher. I think durge is one of the coolest looking figures theyve made. I plan to buy tons of army builders and I plan to get all the basic collection. I think these are cool.

Asaaj's neck is too short, isn't it? Aww well, these both look pretty cool. Hopefully, Saesee will have his hood up, like in the pic in the Insider!

I too can't wait to get these.

MACE WINDU is the coolest looking version of him that Hasbro has made since 1999.

I'm not even buying the current Saga "wind-up version," but the Deluxe Mace was pretty cool. This new one with his cloak on, is awesome!

I'd like to see an Obi-Wan made in this style, as well as relaxed, too.

Meanwhile, the Kit Fisto we really need is one in Jedi robes, relaxed, as he was in Palpatine's office. Somehow I doubt we'll get a Clone Wars figure of him like that.

He and SaeSee might just be re-releases of the Saga figures on blue cards. No one said they'd definitely be new sculpts, either.

I don't mind what they do with SaeSee- he's pretty cool. We have a great POTJ relaxed version, a cloakless action version from the arena battle, now maybe a fighting version with his cloak ON would work. But still, there are more Jedi like the Weequay master that they could do instead. I don't care. As long as we get them all.

But Mace looks great. And a new female Dark Jedi like Ventress? Wow!

I'll buy!

How about a 3-pack of Kit relaxing in a smoking jacket with a dry martini (shaken, not stirred) and two Twi'lek dancing girls? Possibly could come with a "hot tub" display base.

OK, but replace the two Twi'Lek dancing girls with Bariss and Luminara, make them in bikinis, but include with them closing Jedi robes that cover all, so that way I can still make my scene from Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's swimming pool..er... I meant Office.

Ventress is awesome and not "EU Garbage." I suggest you try reading some Clone Wars comics (start with Republic # 49) and the Mace Windu novel, "Shatterpoint."

You might change your opinion with some new EU experiences, unless you're afraid to make a claim yourself, that you later can't stand bye.

But what's the worst case scenerio? That you're entertained with Star Wars? Shucks...that can't be so bad, can it? ;)

I'm gonna read shatterpoint as soon as I can. Of course Mace was in the movies, just not THAT Mace. I still might get him if those figures come here, haven't decided yet. As for Ventress. Sorry tycho but I think that's a point where we disagree.

PS. Just because I said that ventress was EU Garbage doesn't mean I think ALL EU is Garbage.

Technically, Asajj Ventress is not really EU as she is a concept that was scrapped from both prequel movies. You can find the artwork for her in the various "Making of..." books.

Very true. Also, I would not be at all surprised if it turns out that she is the character to be played by Bai Ling in Episode 3.

I just noted that Bai Ling's casting was mentioned with the same news that stated we would be seeing another EU character in Ep. 3.

This line continues to keep me interested. I am looking forward to better pictures surfacing as Mace is a little difficult to figure out. Any thoughts on this removable tunic???

Asajj rocks. Are the holsters for blasters or the two blades?

His Jedi robes are removeable and underneathe them he is wearing a 2-piece Italian suit. His accessories include a stilleto with silencer and a huge Afro wig with a Quaterpounder and fries.

Argh Tycho, tasteless. ;) But I am looking forward to some of these new figures. It would be nice if the new Mace and the new Obi could grip their lightsabers with both hands, that would make me happy!! I am also looking forward to the new Jedi Starfighter and Ani's Starfighter. It is just nice to have something "different" to look forward to in the line.
