SDCC photo coverage: http://www.sirstevesguide.com/photo/index.php?cat=619

Just a quick update, not even ready for the SSG news yet, but I thought you forum readers might wanna know. SirSteve added pics of new Saga figures a little while ago before running back to the convention. To find 'em, you can sort any and all our galleries by "Latest" or you can see all of the last 24 hours of SDCC Hasbro updates (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/photo/showgallery.php?cat=997) from the main SDCC-Hasbro page. Specifically added today so far are several pictures each of:

Bail Organa with Obi-Wan Hologram Projector

Imperial Dignitary 2

and the McQuarrie Concept Stormtrooper

UPDATE - SirSteve just called in with news of what to expect a little later today. We'll be bringing you photos of the fan club exclusive Holiday Yoda, the TIE Fighter boxed, 12" Leia on Speederbike, Bounty Hunter 4pack, and more.

Oh, and my personal take on it... the close-ups on the Concept Trooper look better than that grainy scan from a few weeks back. The blockiness of the figure is still an issue, but the helmet is better than expected.

Bail's face sculpt seems a little "soft", but the Obi-Wan hologram accessory looks really cool. It's nice to see they chose the more dignified of the Bail Organa costumes for the figure.

Imp Dignitary 2 was a surprise. Looks good, a good use of the parts from Imp Dignitary 1.

Thank the maker for that. Great news, JT. Hopefully since FAO's pretty much dead in the water, it's a retailer that actually doesn't jack the prices through the roof. I'm betting it's Target, they seem to be the only retail store lately with actual faith in the brand. Or KB, as they did take the Shuttle after FAO. :)

How long has Hasbro been shopping this piece around for, a year? At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if it were the Fan Club or an e-tailer... ok, maybe a little surprised. ;)

Not quite as long as the cursed Cloud Car. That has appeared on release lists, and then been put on the back burner for what? 4+ years now. I'm starting to worry when/if we'll ever see that one. :(

UPDATE 3 - SirSteve has just added loose and partially packaged pics of Holiday Yoda to the SDCC Saga - Basic Figures section, linked in the first post. Also news that the cane and sack will be removable.

Sweet!!!
I've been wanting one of these since POTF-2 began. Let the out of scale complaints start...

Doesn't bother me, as long as I get me a Sandcrawler

Sweet a sandcrawler. That is the best news all year. Now if a store would get then around here it would help.
