I read a Q&A article on Rebelscum with Hasbro reps, and they said magnets would continue.
I was hoping with the supposed "doing away" of action features, that the magnets would stop.
I don't like them - at least not on basic, never-before-sculpted figures.
And by the way, would it have killed Hasbro to put some articulation at Wat Tambor's right elbow, so he doesn't have to have his hand on his chest all the time? That keeps this from being a perfect figure. Now we need another - with an elbow joint.

I don't mind the magnets myself, just those lame action features that makes the figures move.

The magnets so far have not hurt a figures sculpt and accually help some figures hold their lightsabers... Plus if you got rid of the magnets we wouldn't get cool metal lightsaber hilts :)

Now I DO like the metal hilts. I just don't like the hand magnets. Some of mine fall out. Others are just ugly and distracting. But it's true, the hilts are groovy.

I like the metal handles for durability, but they lack greatly in detail. I've heard a lot of people complain about Luminara's 'saber, because it is often bent in the package. True, but even though this 'saber lacks detail, it has more detail than the metal 'sabers. Though, seeing as how so many Jedi now use a generic Jedi lightsaber design modified from the handle Mace Windu was seen to have in the pages of Playboy magazine (a mistake Hasbro was behind enough to have resurrected years later in its massively inaccurate Mace Windu roleplaying saber), it's kind of a moot point: every friggin lightsaber looks the same, so detail doesn't matter enormously.

I don't mind the magnets myself...they better put a magnet in that new Hoth Luke! It's the perfect use for one!!
