I hope JJB has a larger role in Episode III than he did in Episode II :). I hope he's given a good death scene and not some stupid accidental 'Jar Jar being stupid' thing . If he is to die in the movie, I hope it's saving Luke and Leia's life :).

Hi GW,

I am looking forward to his return too. And like Pendo, I am very keen to see more of him in EP3 than EP2. I think a lot of people have got over the original shock of his character and if EP1 wasn't being lambasted for the inclusion of Jar Jar, it would be something else.

I am reminded of the public's take on C3-P0 - although as not as vitriolic, the criticisms were rife all the same. In fact, I cringe at some of his lines in EP2 and although I love the character, I wish they had done without the Droid Foundry scene where he plays up.

So, more Jar Jar in Episode 3 please. But maybe someone can clear something up for me - why do so many people seem to want characters that are not reflected in OT to die in Ep3? Granted, Padmé has to die IMO for dark and bitter dramatic effect but why Jar Jar?

I never minded Jar Jar in EP1, in some ways it was quite brave for GL to commit to a major character in that way. Lest we all forget, the SW films have always been for a family audience and he was a good candidate for appealing to the younger viewers. I was 8 when ANH was first released and it certainly captured my imagination, it would be sad if younger viewers of the PT were over-looked in favour of the 'fan-boys' (and girls) who just want it played out to fufill their own vision of the SW universe. I do feel in some respects that GL has buckled to fan pressure to reduce Jar Jar's role in EP2, it would be nice to see him contribute to EP3 in a more substantial way.

Oh yeah Jeddah you're right - it would just have been something else and yeah, I really cringed at 3PO in the droid factory........ really cheap.

I wasn't sure about Ewoks on ROTJ's original release, but they grew on me (eventually). :p

I don't think jar jar & the gungans would have been near as bad if they spoke another language. It's all that baby talk that really makes it irritating -- and almost embarrassing -- to watch. I also never understood why they let a giant frog be their leader.

I think, though, with E3 being more somber and dark, less jar jar would be best for it.

Heīll be the commander of the main battleship in MY Ep III.
He wonīt die in my version. I want to have him at the foundation
of the rebellion at the end on Alderaan.
You know what this mean for his future....

I REALLY DONīT WANT him to have a on-screen death scene.
The chance someone in the audience would cheer is WAY TOO HIGH. THAT could ruin the movie for me. I would have to kick that personīs *** then- Francis BEGBIE-style. :frus:

Lucas will not kill his main pet child in episode III. It would be like killing R2 or Wicket. It would not be in his nature.

I am looking forward to seeing him save one of the kids in the next movie. It would be just like Lucas to do that because of his ironic nature. Many fans hate him (I'm not one of them) so he will have Jar Jar save the thing we care about so his staple is stronger in the films!

At least that's what I think

I hope JJB has a larger role for Episode III, and that he survives the movie. I want to see JJB added to the Imperial Meeting Room on the Death Star in ANH. It will show the amount of manipulating the Emperor/Vader has put him through, and it would tell everyone that not everyone in the Empire is necessarilly evil. Plus I think an Imperial Officer's outfit would look cool on him :D!
