Yesterday I went to the Gaming Convention at the Las Vegas Convention Center. While I was there, I ran into the 501st guarding a new way for George Lucas to take our $$$- STAR WARS SLOT MACHINES. Made by IGT and still in the production stages, we should see these hit casinos about a year from now. Luckly I took some pics and video while I was there hanging out and playing them- FOR TWO HOURS!!! They are fun and addicting, but now I want one for my own. Here are some pics- They turned out great but I had to alter and reduce the size of them so that they would fit as a file attachment. Too bad the video clips are to big because the show the actual game play.

This is a pic of a big circular screen on top of the slot machines that shows the classic triology while you play the game.

This part is cool. When you get up to a bonus, you pick who you think will win the lghtsaber battle ( Vader or Obi ) after you pick, they battle for about 5 seconds and if you choose correctly, you win extra cash. The outcome of the winner is always random- sometimes Vader wins and sometimes Obi wins.

Here is another cool part that is also a bonus- you get to blast away Stormtroopers using the touch screen. There are many bonuses to wager and gain cash. Like shooting down tie fighters, gun turrets, and picking which Y-wing fighter to use going into the trench. When you get the Big Bonus- you get to choose which exhaust port to shoot into, if you guess correctly, you blow up the Deathstar and hit a decent size jackpot :greedy: :greedy: !!! I have all this on video, but it's too big for file attachment.

Very cool. It's just one more way that GL is going to get our money. :)

Holy (words that I cannot say on this thread)! I want one. And it plays the movies too. Holy smokes. That is awesome. I'm going to Vegas.

I love Vegas, but I usually stay away from slots (roulette is my game).

But this thing looks just awesome! I'm sure if I see this on my next trip there I'll probably dump a bunch of cash into it :stupid:

What's really cool about it is that if you toss all your dough gambling, at least you can hang back and just watch the movies! Bonus!!

I would love to see the video as well. I think only those without high speed internet would have a hard time seeing it.

These were displayed as penny slots, but when it comes out next year they could range from penny,nickel,dime,quarter,50 cent,1$,5$,10$,20$,50$,and sometimes $100 slots depending where you go. A majority of them will be penny to $1 slots.

Did anybody ever get to play this other then jedihunter25? I stopped by my local casino in Green Bay after work today and I was stunned to see this machine. It was a penny machine, where you could play between 1 and 30 lines and you could bet up to 5 cents per line. I stuck a dollar in and actually got to shoot at some troopers, since I was able to blast a few of them the death star spins and where it lands is the number of bonus credits you get. I was up to a whopping 560 credits ($5.60) and should have 'cashed out' then and there but I ended up blowing my winnings. It was pretty cool, I might just go there again to play this bad boy again.

I played one a couple months ago. I've seen them at a few casinos here in Vegas. The one I played was a penny slot also, and I lost my dollar in 3 spins. There may be a quarter slot version as well (possibly at the Luxor). I liked how the flat screen TV mounted above the group of 4 machines only played movie clips from the OT. ;)

A SW-fan friend of mine who lives in Vegas also recently came across the machine, and it too was a penny slots machine, he was quite jazzed.

I hardly ever go to the casino, usually once every couple of years but I may have to pay a return visit rather soon because of that new Star Wars slot machine. The only bad thing is I feel like an old fart playing penny slots. lol

I was in Vegas last week and played this game a few times. Saw it several casinos but I did play it in Mandalay Bay and actualyl at the airport waiting for my flight. It is a cool little game and I hate slot machines. Each time I saw it was a penny machine. It has 2 bonuses that I ran across. One if which you shoot the Troopers and somehow that translates into where the Death Star will land on (this was mentioned earlier). The other bonus is when you choose who will win the duel between Vader and ObiWan. If you choose the correct winner you win some higher bonus. It is a pretty entertaining game and is way cheap to play even at max bet. I didn't walk away a winner. Heck it's a penny machine but did play the game for about 10 mins or so each time.
