What are these new vintage sets from DistribuToys? I'm interested, but would like to see some pics. Anybody have any?

There is a news article with a description of them on the main page. Basically, they are just repackaged vintage toys.

The article on the news page was what prompted me to post.
Why are they doing this? Are they going to be new, or are they old stock?

I would imagine that these are old figures from when the line was an active toy line. I'm of the thinking that this company is taking old figures in good shape, slapping a gun with them and sticking them in a package which would probably resemble the old multi-packs which are almost identically named. Probably similar to: http://www.toysrgus.com/images-toys/three-pack-set.html

Not a lot I wouldn't do to have THAT set!

This is a great oppertunity to get some old figures...I dont understand what they mean by "...limited to only 10 sets overall..."

Is this going to make them SUPER HARD TO FIND -- Gee, all they need to do is put a three pack of Ephant Mon together -- that would be the same thing.

I sent an email to remind me -- but I doubt I will get notified intime....

I don't see who these things are supposed to attract. Open collectors can get those figures much cheaper than that and carded collectors don't, typically, have their boats floated by opened-and-repackaged items.

Maybe I'm just missing something here.

I actually misunderstood the news the first time I read it. Where it said Bespin Set, I thought they meant a playset of some sort.

That's an outrageous price for these figures....which fools will buy them?

Fools?? -- Here is a breakdown of what we can get the figures for (elsewhere)

Bounty Hunters --
Denger -- C-8 = $8.00
IG-88 -- C-9 = $10.00
Fett -- C-8 = $18.00 ==> Total is $34.00 (TRU = $39.99)

Bespin --
Han (bespin assumed) -- C-8 = $8.00
Chewy -- C-9 = $10.00
Lando -- C-8 = $8.00
Lobot -- C-9 = $7.00
Stormtrooper -- C-8 = $8.00 ==> Total is $41.00 (TRU = $39.99)

Good Guys --

Luke (Jedi) -- C-8 = $22.00
C-3P0 -- C-8 = $12.00
Hoth Solider -- C-8 = $5.00 ==> Total is $39.99 (TRU = $29.00)

Looks like TRU is offering some good prices on some Vintage figures-- :rolleyes:

Maybe for people just getting into collecting????

I'd assume most vintage collectors already have these, at least in the opened variety.

Now if only they had vintage POTF figures in these packs . . . THOSE would be a bargain at 3 for $39.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
