I have never written a petition so I hope someone else can make a more formal petition that can be linked to. But if you are upset with the JMP auction then submit your name to this list for the time being.

Basically this petition is to let Hasbro know they have messed up big time and that we want a fair JMP promotion.

Here is my name to start this petition.

Sign me up too....

I would rather sell my JMP than participate in the frenzy....5000 points for one Jorg Sacul.....you have got to be kidding...I would rather pay a scapler $50 for Jorg on Ebay and open it myself than participate in the mess.....just give it one week...

What irks me is that Kitik is being offered. Collectors desperately want the Wave 2 cantina sets and it seems that Hasbro is doing nothing to get these into the US. Then they put it up for auction only. I'd much prefer a mail-away offer. Something like "Send us 40 Jedi Master Points and $4.95 for Kitik".

And don't get me started on the Oopie and Qui-Gon "Overseas Only" exclusive.

I'll add my name to the petition.

Count me in. The auction at first sounded like a great idea for variations, hard to find figures, and celebration items, but to have an item like Kitik Keed'kak that everyone has been waiting over a year to get is a big slap in the face for collectors and has left me bitter with a sour taste in my mouth in regards to Star Wars collecting. Do the right thing and make this figure available to the fans and collectors who support this market.

I am in. I dont plan to even attempt to bid as stupid as this is. But after all this collecting, it would be nice to have a hassle free reward for all the money ive spent on star wars. I think the mail in idea is sweet

keithfite Reward? The reward was the Silver Boba Fett! At least that's what Hasbro said.:crazed: Besides when we buy a figure that's supose to be an award in it's self. LOL I'm just joking. I think Hasbro just wants to get all the point off the market so we will shut up about their mistake. That's just not going to happen. Our mouths are way to big. Although it did shut a little when I saw R1 the other day!!:D

I signed up Chuck!

I also fired off an email to Hasblah:

Hi! I'm sure my feelings mirror that of many collectors and fans right about now. I am in no way trying to be cruel or undermine someone's hard work or lack there of. But let's face it guys, someone or someone's dropped the ball on this one. I, for one, cannot see how putting on auctions with no actual safeguards or accountability was cheaper and more beneficial than offering a giveaway figure like in the past. Look at the possibilities you have for a giveaway; Sio Bibble, Queen Amidala Battle, Red R2 Unit, R2-B1, etc. etc. etc. Did you actually think you were going to make collectors happy by pitting them against each other? Rewarding a select few, while shunning the majority. Let me leave you with a little Star Trek quote to sooth your conscience. "The needs of the many outway the needs of the few or the one." You can put that in one of your auctions, too! Thanks for your time and cosideration!!!

Can't agree with you more. Speaking of Star Trek, remember when Playmates had the Picard limited to a production of 1,701 and the Tasha and O'brien at 3,000. If I remember correctly, the line went downhill from there. I actually found that Picard and after finding the O'brien and Yar I was sick to death of collecting those things and stopped shortly afterward. Hint Hint Hasbro.

Oh by the way put me on the petition again as Boba Fetish

I read the petition and have a few ideas for it that I think need to be changed.

First of all, it sounded mildly sarcastic, and we'll never get anywhere with sarcasm. Second, the complaint that MOMC collectors can't participate in invalid, because they wouldn't be able to participate in ANY JMP program.

Although I agree 100% that this promotion is ridiculous, I have to think about whether or not I'll sign this petition in its current state. I don't think it's ready yet.

I've asked a few MOMC collectors, and I myself am a MOMC and open collector. The ones I asked, "If there were a mail away that required 200 JMP, would you run out and buy 20 figures in order to get the mail away?" They all answered "Heck yeah!!" So this WOULD affect MOMC collectrors. Not only would HASBRO sell more pegwarmers, they would have a better program in order for EVERYONE to use their JMP, instead of just a select few.

If with you their turbos wars. If the items where in a catolog item like the old Gi Joe and their flag pionts. Then even us carced collector can fork up money for say about 40 points. I mean it is like 10 points per figure with kb toys sell at 1.50 that what about 8.00 with taxes.

If they're going to go out and buy new figures, the fact that they're MOMC collectors doesn't matter at all. They could buy new figures for this auction too, as I'm sure some collectors may actually do.

I'm a MOMC collector for the most part as well. But no we cannot rush out and buy 25,000 points worth of figures. If we were given a fair enough warning like perhaps when they first started puttting points on figures then the MOMC collectors would have had the opportunity to buy doubles or quadruples if neccessary from day one. But as it is many MOMC collectors as well as Loose collectors belived there would be a mail away promotion that would require X amount of points. No one thought that fans would be pitted against each other. Actually in terms of a promotion this is very bad for Hasbro because they are not making MOMC collectors go out and buy extra figures. Does anyone remeber the Windu mail away. Then MOMC collectors bought 6 extra figures just to get one free figure.

If Hasbro were to have a mail away I don't see why they just can't limit it to one item per address. I know it might seem a bit unfair but at least everyone gets one thing, however, many collectors would still be left with many points. But it is better than what is currently happening. Oh and at this point the 12" Ultimate Jango is going for 20,000 points. Who in their mind is going to spend 20,000 points on a common 12" figure. The most interesting aspect about this auction is with the points these items are going for. Because they are being bidded on so high the American cash equivalent for one point is worth less than one penny. That is pathetic.

I was begining to think that is why they showed us the R1 and told us about all the cool upcoming figures because they knew this was going to be a disaster. Heck, I bet this was deliberetly delayed by one month just show they could show us a good test photo of the R1 figure.

I for one am not gonna waste money for auctions I can never win. Throw in the old days and mail-a-ways, I would do it. These auctions basically pooped on 75%(estimated in my mind) of collectors world wide. Canadians, EUropeans and anyone outside the US just got bent over and spanked. Not to mention Carded collectors. If I was an opener I would resort to Ebay to sell my points just for the sheer fact I would never win anythiing on there.

Sign Jayspawn to the petition!

I think this auction is a sham! Just a way for Hasbro to say that they're good for something! I want a mail away figure for my JMP! I didn't save them for ALL THESE YEARS to blow them all away on something I could have bought in stores or a Sacul! What Hasbro needs is an exclusive! Something ALL of us can get!

We have a petition.

I signed the petition. I was #10 on the list. #10 the number of JMP's on a 3 3/4 inch figure, coincedence?

Or maybe #10 the number recently retired for Cubs player Ron Santo.

Or number ten, the amount of centuries it will take the Cubs to win the next world series.

Just 16 sigs. Come on guys. There has to be at least 100 people upset with what is going on. Why is no signing? As far as I know there are at the most only 15 people who are not upset because they stand a chance at getting one of the auction items.

I signed it.
I'm a carded collector, I have nothing to gain from this promotion, I don't fault Hasbro for that, and understand that I can't or won't get anything from it.

Although as a SW fan, and someone who took advantage of just about EVERY mail-in vintage offer as well as the few POTF-2 ones, this is just embarassing to this point. I'm going to wait to see how this plays out, but 5 items, come on. Sure it goies for 13 weeks, that's a total of 65 items. We have more regulares on this one board than that. Who knows maybe Hasbro is pulling higher quantities till later, and I hope so, although to this point it's a slap in the face to long time collectors.
You spend thousands over the past 4 years, and they make collectors fight over a $5-$10 piece of plastic.
