Yes. I'm not surprised that there is ZERO bids for it! Afterall who is going to pay like $900 quid for pieces of plastic (but nice ones I must say) If he had started at a lower price at say $50, I think there would have been a bidding war and he may have fetched around $100++ which is pretty good itself.

Not really sure if there has been talk that Hasbro would release this. I hope Hasbro do actually release it in the near future so that this guy can just "SUCK IT".

High opening bids is the death of all ebay auctions. Crazy.

TOTALLY ABSURD!

He probably based the price on what the Praying Mantis (Don't want to take a chance on the name) figure was going for on the Hasbro JMP auction.

Come on now, he has pictures, so he must really have the product, right?

I thought the seller said the pics weren't actually his, he just used them as a representation for what he is selling.

I was being a smart alec. I didn't read "everything" since I have no intntions on bidding on this. :D It quite possibly does say the pics weren't actually his, he just used them as a representation for what he is selling.

Sorry about that, bobaf. Thought you were being serious about it all :crazed:

Anyway, he probably crafted some figs out of play doh and thinks this whole picture thing might let him get away with it.. :)

Well, with less than 6 minutes to go in this auction, he still has zero bids! His "rationale" for this idiotic pricing is pretty funny, though: "Talk amongst the Star Wars community believes these figs will be released eventually but on different cards. This might be the last time these figs might be offered on ebay as a complete set." Ooooooh! I must have the figures on this card, instead of the actual release card! Of course! And, yes, the pix he used were lifted from another seller's site, so--caveat emptor!

To quote that noted philospher, Bugs Bunny, "What a maroon!"

(Head Shaking)...No, this can't be!!!! Perhaps I should try to auction my custom made Kitik at a lower price. Hey, he's made out of a real praying mantis coated w/ shellac. With Sculpey for clothing. :D

"E-bay. You'll never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy." :p

I don't understand why he didn't get a bid. He was offering free shipping!!!!

Man, I missed it!!!!!!!!!! I was going to bid on it. The funny thing is he wasted some money on the Auction fee and the huge starting bid fee.

What the @#$% was this guy thinking. I am glad as hell that no one stuped low enough to buy this. I want to send an e-mail to this person on how absurd that was but I don't know if it will tarnish my good standing on ebay. Dumb dumb dumb.

That is crazy. I would not pay that much for those. I hope they do release them at the Star Wars Fan Club or some other alternative places. Those figs really look cool.

Hmmm, my favorite part from his description was ...

"Talk amongst the star wars community believes these figs will be released eventually but on different cards."
...and by "different", I mean less heavily damaged cards that will sell for a great deal less than these ... when they show up on clearance at KB (or even Big Lots) eventually.
