Here's a comparison shot of the 2. The one with the saber pointing in the upper left has a date code older that the other, so that's the 1st release.

Notice that the downturned saber is bent where the blade meets the handle. I have a friend that has one of those, and his is bent, too. Thanks, Hasbro!

Boy I'm glad I stopped trying to obtain variations for my carded collection. It seems like every time you blink Hasbro has another packaging variation showing up.

It's starting to be a bit too much.

It's starting to be a bit too much.Starting? Man it's been bad ever since POTF2 came out on 95. I got sucked in to it all. .000, .001.0004,.000005050543497563784652938459384. It's bad alright:crazed:

Well guys I got my hands on a Concept trooper variant yesterday from a trade. Anyways have you seen what the Concept Variant has been going on e-bay? I have seen some go for $75 and up. I believe hasbro changed it because the Fan's Choice Figure No.4 sticker hide the saber. The thing is, is that this variation pose looks like the drawing. Oh well, I'm happy to get it.

and I thought I got burned on trading a $25 game for this and a SA Clone. I'm very happy right now!

What the #$&%! It's the same figure in a different pose. Why the heck would someone pay upwards of $90 for it? That's just crazy...

$97.50

I didn't think it was that rare. It's just like all the other variants from the past. They sell high in the beginning and then some time goes by and they sell for a faction of the cost. For example Brown vest Jedi luke.

That is absolutely crazy. :crazed: If I run into a variant I'll buy it and put it in my collection with the handful of others I've aquired over the years but if I never find it then so be it. People who spend this kind of money on a $5 figure must have money to burn. Personally I'd rather spend the $ on army building and extra loose figures for dioramas, but thats just me.
