New Snowspeeder

I picked this up for the 7 year old for x-mas - so it is still imprisoned in its box. Has anyone pulled it out? How does it comapare to the original release?

Here is my update:

The new snowspeeder is almost EXACTLY like the origional release. There are pro's and con's of both models. Lets start with the Pros first.

The new speeder has a cool tow hook that deploys from the back of the speeder -- and it rolls up out of the way when not in use. It also has a better appearence than the old one. There are two new long wing pieces that make the front of the speeder look better that the origional did -- mre like the movie. The side guns look ALOT better than the old version -- but I still am not totally happy with the gun tips.

The biggest complaint I have with the new speeder is that in order to get the figure in the back -- you have to remove the hatch cover to sit him into the seat -- the old version had a seperate compartment to sit the figure in.

The same figures came with the speeder -- execpt for the goggles on the rebel solider -- they looked better. Overall -- the new speeder offers enough differences that are worth buying. I am happy with mine -- now I just need the AT-AT.
