If you had the chance to be in Episode III...

...but it meant going to Australia for a few weeks....

...and you definitely would be FIRED from your present job...

...and you would lose the love of your life...

...would you go? Even if it was just a small part as an extra who might never really be seen very well or as a masked Stormtrooper who's identity would never be known nor proven by you?

Where would you draw the line as a fan? Would it be worth it?

...and you definitely would be FIRED from your present job...Hehe, i'd like to see them fire ME!!! :D

...and you would lose the love of your life...Hmm, I don't think I would go if I'd loose the love of my life!

...would you go?Hmm, depends on how good the script is, and if the love of my life would let me :ermm:.

or as a masked Stormtrooper who's identity would never be known nor proven by you?I'll even provide my own costume :p.

Where would you draw the line as a fan? Would it be worth it?Just having the knowledge that you've been in a Star Wars movie would be enough for almost all fans :). Being in a Star Wars film is something I've always wanted to be in, however if thoes situations did come up you'd have to remember that it's not the most important thing in the world, and not worth loosing the love of your life for.

I'd do it. I have no job, no love life, and I could care less.

I wouldn't mind losing my job, but the love of my life (if I had one right now)?

So job YES!

Love, and I'm not just talking about some stupid girlfriend, NO.

Even if you were a stormtrooper, at least you'd be able to say that you've had a figure made of yourself. Maybe I would get to use the Star Wars bathroom in the process and pee next to a real Jawa or C-3PO not just a convention fanboy at Wizardcon.

All those other things can make you far happier than being a nobody in a movie so no, I'll not give them up. I figure if I ever want to be in a movie that the technology to add yourself into a scene will be available in 20 years so I'll wait for that.

Nope, I should have had the part of Anakin. Anything less would be beneath me. :p

It would be cool if i could be a space pirate and have a Gamorrean sidekick. As for losing my job, ive been fired before so its no big deal. Love? Im currently single so that wouldnt be a big deal. I think it would be worth it, well at least for me but i realize some of you have larger responsiblities than i.

Besides the fact you can say you were in hte movie will be able ot keep part of your costume.

It would be cool to be in a SW film. If I had enough $ put away, sure I wouldn't care about losing my job. I'm a Carpenter and can get a job anywhere. I wouldn't want to lose my wife though. So I guess the answers NO. Besides the Pre films aren't that good anyways.;)

Right on, I think it would be unbelievably cool to be in a SW film, but no way in hell would I give up my job, love, or just about anything that is important to me to be in a poorly concocted prequel film (presuming the 3rd installment will be as disappointing as the first 2).

i think it would be awsome to be in a sw film. when i was younger i always enjoyed making movies with my family video camera, being in a sw film would be great.

Sounds great !

...but it meant going to Australia for a few weeks....
Sounds like a fun trip.

...and you definitely would be FIRED from your present job...
No problem here. As long as I'm either seen in the movie or wear an alien costume which gets some extended EU attention thus whipping up fanboy fervor, I'm going to take it on the road and go to conventions year round charging $20 a pop for an autograph. That will be my new source of income and I won't have to work for it.

...and you would lose the love of your life...
Not applicable at present time, but hypothetically - sure, why not?
Might as well accelerate the eventual breakup and divorce process.
I'll satisfy my urges by drinking heavily in the hotel bars and shagging porno chicks who inevitably show up at comic conventions to make money.

...would you go? Even if it was just a small part as an extra who might never really be seen very well or as a masked Stormtrooper who's identity would never be known nor proven by you?
Yep, I'd go. As for the anonymity factor, I saw a little person pulling in $20 and he played a JAWA. That's right, a JAWA. There were what, maybe 100 of those little scamps on screen?

Where would you draw the line as a fan? Would it be worth it?
On second thought, I'll pass. :D

I wouldn't go if it meant leaving my wife. I would love to be in any SW movie playing any part. As for a job, who cares, they are a dime a dozen and I am currently unemployed. Getting paid from the movie would be fine for a while and how sweet would it be to have your own action figure on top of it?

My job is soooo replaceable, I'm sure I could put of school for a semester, but I don't think playing a bit role would be worth losing my fiance over. Now if I was playing Anakin on the other hand and got to "be intimate" with Padme........

In a heartbeat!!!

I'm my own boss, so technically I can take whatever time I need off for as long as I need!

If the person your in love with doesn't respect your love and desire to do something like this, than they're not the love of your life, so you can always find love again!!!

Austrailia here I come!!!

Life is about realizing your dreams.. If I had the opportunity of realizing ONE of my dreams, that being a role in Episode 3, I would do it in a heartbeat.. The repercussions- If I am gonna lose my job, then that job wasn't meant to be; If I would lose my one and only love, then that person truly was not my one and only love. I do not believe what I state is fanaticism, it simply is the philosophy of sticking to one's own dream- To thine own self be true/carpe diem/screw off if you ain't with the program.

I still say I would have gone. :)
The ROTS behind the scenes DVD segments looked pretty fun, hopefully I could have gone out clubbing with Ewan and Hayden while leering at Natalie the rest of the time.

And of course I would have to make time to stay up late with The Rick and watch movies every night. It would have been a blast!

I entertained the thought for a second, but now that I know Caesar's going to be in it, jeez, forget it. Just the thought of having to be on the same continent as him and Rick (holding hands and having date nights in a hotel room no less) is enough to make me want to burn my clothes and curl up in a fetal position on the floor of my shower. Ick.

It's like revealing your a serial killer, trying to change his ways. yeah honey you were my intended victim 5 yrs ago. but i looked into your eyes . that night when we kissed . i was really going to shove that knife in your back but i couldn't.
my job. it can be replaced. but being an extra in a movie. i could still end up on the editing floor.
hell yeah i would be in it. you never know you could get noticed by a casting director. yes sir your part being that jedi getting killed by clones was amzing .would you like to die in all your movie parts.

Free trip to Australia, I'm there. I'd visit my cousins. I wouldn't care which character, any character but Hey there is still the TV series. They might need some scurvy Bounty Hunter types, or just an extra walking by on Tatooine.

Oh why wuld you lose your significant other? it's not like you'd be there forever. I would have gone if I could have afforded to and I'd been asked.

might have been cool to be jedi or separatist and get a hammy death scene. I'd have been saying "Oh poodoo!" as I died. :)

But what if I am the love of my life?

Seriously though, I wouldn't have done it if it meant any of those things. I had enough trouble getting this job eight years ago. I wouldn't want to have to start all over and take a huge paycut unless the Star Wars movie role paid off well in some fashion. Also, being that close to the production might have given me too many movie spoilers.

Besides, Rosey Palmer never lets you down! She doesn't care if you throw away your career for bragging rights and fifteen seconds of fame. She's always there to lend a helping hand.lol

Imagine the fans wanting an action figure of your two second onscreen background character though. and knowing the action figure would look nothing like you. Or if you became an action figure and no-one knew your real name and only saw the character you played not the man who played the character.

how demoralising that must be. sort of a backhanded compliment.

Like the guy who played Willrow Hood, who makes one hell of a baloney and salmon sandwich, but will always be remembered because Lucas made him carry an ice cream maker around onstage.

well at least after the horror of finding out Boba fett is Temuera Morrison clone, Jeremy Bulloch got to get his face onscreen as Captain Colton. And Rena Owen got to be seen too.

But how many people know the name of the actor who played Captain Antilles in ANH? Or the name of the actor who played Chief Chirpa.

Well I can tell you that Jane Busby played Chirpa from memory but I don't know that actor who played Antilles in ANH.

Yeah Rena Owen didn't look good. partly that stupid costume they gave her. partly coz she looked dog rough.

And I thought Marton Czsokas and Silas Carson played everybody else that's anybody else.

something I find interesting is that we never get people saying they played a bit part in star wars on these forums. Not even dubious claims. If I'd been a costume character in some bar scene or street scene I'd want everyone to know.
