I just got back from Target and they had two Jedi Lukes :sur: . I was extremely excited :crazed: , but something seemed strange about the figure. After studying it closely I realized that his thighs were attached backwards. Then I looked at the other Luke figure, and it was the same way. Has anyone else encountered this? This must have been the reason why he was the only figure from the wave left on the pegs. Just want to give some people a heads up.

Can you scan a picture of them?

Actually, I didn't buy them. I didn't want an extremely weird looking Luke. I probably should have, just so I could take a picture of them and then take them back. Maybe someone else will have a picture, or will know what I'm talking about.

How could you tell? Between the front of the legs looking ridiculously similar to the back and the cloak covering the figure, I can't imagine how you saw that. Anyway, mine is normal. I would think an easy fix here if you got stuck with one would be to remove the boots, rotate the torso around without rotating the skirt, then place the boots back on.
I'm totally eating it because when I went to look at mine, the friggin' gun accessory fell out and is 100% lost.

His legs were hyperextended to the point of bending in the wrong direction. So either this is an error, or one of the worst made figures of all time! :dis:

That is simply how Luke's knee joints are--there is no "kneecap" so his legs can be bent naturally and unnatually. I'm assuming they did this to lessen the obviousness of the knee joint--compare them to Faytonni/Achk Med-Beq's knee joints which are much better but are more obvious and ugly when bent.

I just went and looked at my Jedi Luke, and since I have him carded, no chance he will lose his gun (smiles at JT) . I did notice that his knees are bent inward, but would I ever take him off of the card, I'm sure that his legs would pivot the other way. You know how tightly packed these figures are these days. I think it's a theft deterent, but they seal them tightly, so Luke is probably scrunched into that plastic that holds him between the card and the bubble causing his knees to bend, and in this case, toward the back. It doesn't bother me though, I just enjoy collecting, and someday I will die, and my son can open the figure, or sell it, or whatever.

no chance he will lose his gun (smiles at JT)Me sad. :( The reason I lost the gun is because I was trying to be all slick keeping the figure and its accessories in the bubble tray still on the card after I opened it too.
Anyway, this figure's knees do indeed bend forward as easily as they do back. The only difference between the front of the legs and the back of the legs is the back has a slight ball-shaping to the knee where the front does not. They're pretty flimsy because of this and other reasons.

Don't worry JT, I lost Bib Fortunas gun several years ago, and never found it. On my micro machines, I had bought the TIE vehicle that had the minature George Lucas with removable helmet. I opened it in the car, and lost the little helmet, it took nearly 2 hours to find it.

Ratfarts! I'm sorry I got all hyper and started this post, I usually hate when people do that. The lack of a kneecap threw me off a bit there, now I am sad I did not purchase said Luke figure. Please forgive me and don't kick me out of the group, I'm worthy.....I swear!

If it makes anyone feel better, I lost Deluxe POTJ Shirtless Maul's Left Arm when I moved out to the Panhandle of OK. He was my favorite figure of all I owned too. :(

:D ;)
That's some encouraging story there BF :p. I'm glad you found that AF TIE Interceptor Lucas' helmet though, that's a great piece.
Sorry to hear that Chazz, and no, it doesn't. ;) However, that set isn't too hard to replace cheap though, it was on clearance at TRU for a whole year at $5, and at KB for the same for over a year, so you might want to look into replacing it.

I keep reading reports that people are finding the R2 and R1-G4 form this wave, but not the Jedi Luke. For the life of me, I can't figure this out. I really thought that the 2 droids would be flying off the shelves and that Luke would be the peg warmer, especially since he is due to be in two other later waves as well.

Around here, Bar2 is the one who currently gets left behind.
BTW, found my missing gun accessory, here is the tale (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/forums/showpost.php?p=305280&postcount=3276) of how I got it back from the garbage.

Most Excellent tale of trash gun recovery JT! I also lost the little screen item that Watto was holding. I didn't realize ity until I was vaccuming near the area where my figures were, when I heard this noise in the vaccum. I looked up in horror as I saw my Watto figure empty handed. I tore open the vaccum bag, but never recovered the peice. I ended up buying a loose Watto with screen thing, on eBay for a reasonable price.
