Most of Brian's Toys prices are unbelievably bad. A Silver ToyFair Vader isnt worth over $500. Maybe under $100 at best.

As a real Star Wars collector, I would never pay their outragous prices.

It's a sad thing really. I'm surprised that these places stay in business.... And brianstoys has actually been in business for a long time now! I mean really, who actually buys this stuff at these prices??? Who would even consider paying that much for a toyfair vader???

Someone out there must be :sur:

Yikes about the Boba Fett. However, is this the 12" Leia with Bike or POTFII Leia with Bike 3&3/4 we're talking about?

It's the 12" one that some here were lucky enough to grab from Target last month at $14. I wasn't one of the lucky ones...

Ouch. Still, $70 plus the usually awful $8 shipping and handling at Brian's Toys is a crap load of money.

remember that brian is a sponsor of SSG and helps keep it free. the more everyone disparages the site and its prices he may decide to pull his banners. sometimes you come across a good deal, more often you come across something at an outrageous price. it happens everywhere, just browse through ebay auctions or recall what happened with the jedi point auctions.

I don't think so, and besides, he shouldn't be a sponsor here. Maybe Steve should get e-bay to be a sponsor.

not at all, but the constant harping on it gets old.

I actually agree.

I order from Brian's toys every couple months. It's a great place to pick up random POTF2, POTJ, Ep1, and other items for pretty darn cheap. Plus his warehouse is located about 45 minutes from me, so I usually get things shipped pretty darn fast.

I really wouldn't complain all that much as the initial figure I wanted to buy was pretty cheap at $2. Its the Shipping AND Handling of $8 that made me upset. I didn't even have $10 in my wallet at that time and THOUGHT I'd be able to afford the Jango Figure that was $2.

I guess you 2 missed the point. I wasn't talking about $2 POTF2 figures no one wants.:sur: I talking about the over priced new crap he has up. There's a bit of difference.

I see what you mean. Jorg Sacul being that high is awful. And heck, don't we all remember the story about what went on back at CII with the Saculs?

i understood the point you were making (and i agree with you). i just get tired of the fact that any thread detailing online buying contains post after post maligning brian's pricing and shipping. if you don't like, don't buy. of course by that same notion, if i don't want to hear the same complaints i could avoid those threads. simply a dead horse that doesn't need flogging anymore.

I don't like his prices but I love going there to order Star Cases and some other odds n ends. :)

I have to say that I am constantly amazed at some of the online etailer prices. A couple bucks on a mark-up I can swallow - everyone's entitled to their share. But 500% is a bit much.

I do have to say that if you are persistent you can usually uncover a bargain or two (especially if you open - non-mint sales RULE! :classic: ).

Exactly aceguide. Nothing is C-10, so it's great to pick up a C-8.
