Finally picked this issue up today and found a possible glaring problem. On the 7th page from the end, there is a Quermia sitting on the Jedi Council. From what I remember and what I've read, there has only been one on the council. That was Yarael Poof and he's dead. He died before Ep. 2 and wasn't on the council in that movie.

So what's up? Any ideas?

BTW, this was a good issue. :)

There are at least 2 spots on the Council open since the Clone Wars began:

Coleman Trebor was killed by Jango Fett during the Battle of Geonosis.

Depa Billaba was diagnosed mentally insane after the Harun Khal Crisis (Mace Windu: Shatterpoint novel).

The Council as it stands:

1 Yoda - alive for E3
2 Mace Windu - alive for E3
3 Ki-Adi Mundi - alive for E3
4 Plo Koon - alive for E3

5 Adi Gallia - alive for E3 (so far as we know. Flew a starfighter at Geonosis, Kamino, and after Brentaal, Jabiim, etc.)

6 Eeth Koth - alive. Captured and tortured at Brentaal, but rescued.

7 SaeSee Tiin - alive and in Clone Wars Animated, also fought in starfighter squadron after Jabiim.

8 Shaak-Ti - survived Brentaal, still alive and fighting. Rumors abound about her death scene in Episode 3 (I can elaborate if desired).

9 Even Piel - largely not seen in the comics, save for Council scenes. He did not fight at Geonosis that I know, nor has he seen much action that has been described to us, though no doubt he's had his own adventures during the Clone Wars.

10 Oppo Rancisis - ditto as above.

Depa Billaba was on the E2 Council, but has since been committed to psychiatric care.

Coleman Trebor was killed by Jango Fett, obviously.

Yaddle was killed in an incident that also involved Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker during a Jedi Quest book, prior to the Clone Wars ever beginning.

Yarael Poof was killed during an incident that also involved Zam Wessel and Jango Fett, also prior to the Clone Wars ever beginning.

Shaak Ti had been one of the replacements (besides Coleman Trebor) for this group.

So now we are left with 2 (two) unknown seats open on the High Council.

It would seem that the comics suggest a new Quermian has taken one of those positions.

Apparently there is another spot open now...

What happened with Depa Billaba?? What wrong with him?

Depa Billaba (is a she) and Mace Windu's former padawan (a long time ago).

A mission where jungle warfare was brutally waged against women and children (against Mace's own clanspeople) broke out into total ethnic cleansing and genocide. Mace returned to his home planet of Harun Khal (spelling) to put an end to it, but they failed. Orginally, it had been Depa's assignment, but the mission brought her close to the Dark Side and the madness turned her completely insane.

Try Matthew Stover's "Mace Windu: Shatterpoint" novel for a great read and much more. (Warning, the first quarter of the book, you're getting used to 2 new cultures and you're like "who cares?" but once it all starts to come together and you understand both sides, it's just plain crazy and very good reading. The story is modeled after "Appocalypse Now."

NO MORE JEDI ON THE COUNCIL WERE KILLED if you are referring to the Clone Wars Cartoon tonight.

Shaak-Ti and Ki-Adi Mundi are both in Episode 3, obviously after this cartoon takes place. How they survived is nevertheless not going to be shown. Aayla Secura is also alive.

Unless 2 new Council Members were chosen and summarily killed by Grevious, none of the Jedi he killed were on the High Council.
