Anyone found them yet? I read where this was the week the cards were gonna hit the stores. I'll check a couple of places this weekend.

If you're looking for an easy way to get the set check ebay.
I just won the 90 card set off of ebay for $3.99. I haven't got into too much card collecting of late, but for this price it was hard to pass. I'll report in when I get them next week.

The local comic shop is now carrying them. I bought three packs. Very cool.

I found them today at a Walmart. I picked up 4 packs. I'm very impressed with the cards. I didn't find any motion cards or any of the other chase cards but I did get an Obi-Wan sticker.

How much at Wal-mart and in what section?

When Target carries SW cards, they're usually $2 a pack, compared to $2.50 at the comic shops.

I found the cards at WM last night, too. Got the Yoda motion card out of it.

I normally buy a Hobby Box whenever new cards come out but since I'm lukewarm on the CW series, I didn't want to do that for this set. I'll just buy the base set at a convention this summer.

I am however very intrigued by the sketch cards which come 1 per box. Maybe I'll buy one of those too, instead of getting a full box.

If I don't get a sketch card, that's cool. I can live with it. The prices for the cards on ebay are already outlandish.

I finally found some packs at Target, and I picked up one (cost: $1.99). My opinion? Eh. I can say I have a few cards now, but I don't plan on collecting this set. I know this will sound stupid, but they are just too cartoon-y. Now the Heritage series; that may be a different story.

A friend of mine works for a newspaper. He wrote an article on the Clone Wars for it, and Topps sent him a free box of cards. he gave me a set and a couple of the extra stickers. My only gripe is that in only covers the first series, with a couple cards pertaining to Grievous, etc.

That's cool. I worked for a newspaper several years ago and got some great concert tickets in return for writing a review.

With the Heritage cards slated for the fall, and the Ep. 3 cards coming in the spring, you have to wonder when we might see series 2 of the CW cards. I'd still like to see it, though.

They should make one, since as I said, it only covers the first "season." Topps has been pretty good about milking their SW license, so I'm sure it will happen. I did work on another licensed card set for Topps and it was a major headache, and it was only a miracle that the cards came out when the movie they went to did. I'm sure things move more smoothly with them and Lucasfilm, since they've had such a long relationship, but having the Cartoon Network/WB involved is probably what has caused these cards to come out so long after the first batch of cartoons.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone taken advantage of the mail-in offer advertised on the packaging? I might have to try it this time.

I didnt even notice it. What is it? I still have 3 or 4 wrappers in my car.

Just remember to read carefully, they state that if you mail in more than 8 entries per household all entries will be disqualified.

How would you like to open up a pack and find this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6103447343&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT

Now that's a sweet card! No way that baby would see Ebay if I found it!

Has anyone here actually found an Original Art Card?

I have not found one yet. Real NIce card and I would never sell it.

BTW has anyone seen the math test Canada has to take so they can enter the drawing? Whats up with that?

I was at Amazing Comics in long beach and... They had a deal where if you bought five packs it was cheaper so I did. Heheh :D Im glad I did. Second pack I open there is a sketch card (Mace Windu by Joe Corroney) in it :crazed: . Also got 3 stickers.. Lucky packs I guess.. I am reallly impressed by these. So I guess I will be buying a box.

I am missing one regular card, and five motion cards and stickers to complete my set.

If you're interested in trading, PM a list. I have a bunch of extras.

Does anybody know where I can buy a complete set? (Not the special cards and stuff, just the regular ones). I haven't bought individual packs for years. It's more cost effective in the long run to buy a premade pack and pay the premium for the specials.

You could post a message under the 'buy/sell' section of SSG.

I've bought from Endless World (endlessworld.com) in California. They're selling the basic set for $15.

Or just do a search on the net with SW cards. Several shops should pop up that way.

I scooped up a base set from my friend who bought a box (to get a sketch card and chase cards) and I must say . . . for someone who didn't like the cartoon show, I really like this set !

Nice intro set of character cards, good action shots, and my favorites (no surprise) are at the end - the Dark Horse Gallery cards.

stillakid, if you still want a base set of 90 cards I can probably accomodate you via my friend. I think he's going to buy another box but I can't say for sure . . .

That'd be great! Let me know. :) I almost broke down and bought some packs yesterday...just to buy anything Star Wars. It's been soooooo dry out there... :(
