Cool an EPIII section.

The voice changer in the helmet sounds like a good idea hopefully the helmet will look good, but for $34.99 who knows.

I already have an older one. I'm assuming Hasblow's using the same mold and voice changer.

Yeah, I have this one too. Hopefully Re-Hashbro will have a new mold, one that is 2 pieces and goes over your head like the Don Post replica :crazed:

Sure. Its basicly a plastic Haloween mask with a strap in the back. There's a cord sticking down from the mouth that you plug into something and then you turn it on on the thing you plug it into and then it changes your voice.

I am glad they are re-releasing this item. I wanted it, but secondary prices are kindly high. I will probably buy it this time around. The helmet is going to be a neat toy. I never saw this item at retail the first time around. Voice changer for me! Yay! :D

Any word on weather we will be seeing anything Episode II and SD CC?

JEDIpartner

Probably not... unless they wanted to reveal things like this that have no REAL spoiler value. They might show some mock-ups for packaging ideas.

Ok but it would be good if they at least show us 1 figure.

I never bought the late-90s Tiger Electronics version, but I did get a Vader Voice changer from the Lucasfilm Fan Club Magazine (now the Star Wars Insider) in the early 90s. Mine is buried in storage, but I did find a picture of it.

This Vader Voice changer was part of the merchandising line from "George Lucas' Super Live Adventure Show" - direct from the Ringling Brothers in Japan, and available through the fan club.

This picture is from Lucasfilm Fan Club Magazine, page 24, Issue 20 (Fall '93). Check it out:

Oh, yeah... there are no doubts that this one is MUCH better. I wonder how big it is that it can be used by a 5 year-old and by an adult.

I wonder how big it is that it can be used by a 5 year-old and by an adult.A five year old's head isn't that much smaller than an adults head. In most cases, by the time you're five your head's almost fully grown. I'd assume that the helmet will have some kind of adjustable thing (straps or padding) inside.

My only problem with it, is that I know we're gonna need two of them around my house -- and my wife will hate it.

i found this at toys r us yesterday. it's the same small plastic vader helmet previously released, but with electronics and a chest box. the helmet isn't very loud, which kept me from buying it. if it had been as loud as the LOTR sauron figure, i would of bought it in a second.

The Helmet Is Great... And It Fits My Big Ol' Head As Well. As Far As Being Loud, It Seamed Loud Once It Was Out Of The Plastic And Off Of Demo Mode. The Voice Change Effect Is Ok , It Took Some Practice ,but All In All It Is A Great Toy , With Alot Of Fun To Be Had. Just Wait Till I Get My Power Effects Light Saber Out And Rule The Empire!.

Is it a FULL helmet or just the front 2/3 of it?

CrunchyNug

I found a bunch of these over the weelend and it is a FULL helmet. It looks like Darth Vader's head in a box. It was kinda cool seeing an entire endcap full of Vaders.

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this, but the ENITRE OTC line of basic figures are on the bottom of the packaging. It's nice to see them all lined up in order.

In all the TRU ads, they say it's exclusive, but I've seen the pricetag for it at Target. What's the deal?

I got one tonight and I really like it. It gets hard to breathe and really hot after a while, but it's a mask after all isn't it? I make my voice deep anyway to do Vader's voice so I choose number 3. 1 and 2 seem to make the voice lower, but I can do that on my own.

Also, I have a big-arse head and it fits me just fine, due to the adjustors.

I didn't know it had a booklet in it with the ROTS preview items. Very cool!
