AF Y-Wings?

Are there 2 different types oy yellow Y-Wings? I mean the one with small cockpit and the one with large cockpit. Is there a rare one?

I've asked the question three days ago to Shinakuma43 because Cab' told me he noticed a slight difference between two Gold Leaders Y-wings canopies (the cockpit canopy, the upper part). One is taller than the other and, of course, taller than the later versions (Yellow Leader and Blue Leader). It seems only the very first Gold Leader's Y-wings have a bigger canopy (Thx S43). This could only be the case for the Silverlogo Y-wing and not for the Goldenlogo, even the FC. Interesting to notice, Galoob had always made improvements to the toys during production.

we used to have a thread that detailed all the different varients present in the action fleet line, i looked back and couldn't find it, i think it was in one of the older versions of the forum :(

the 1st version of the y-wing (the yellow one), had a higher canopy. the subsequent y-wings (including later releases of the yellow one), the canopy was reduced in overall height, giving a total different appearnace to the y-wing.

as i recall, the higher (larger) canopy was indeed the "rare" one

i'll try and take some photos of the difference tonight
