More Clone War Cartoons

Princess Leia tells us that 20 new Clone Wars episodes are signed for and will debut in the Spring of 2005, just prior to the release of Episode III. We would speculate that the animators will get to see the final movie at a screening shortly and develop the plot closely tied to the new movie. We're also hearing that a Clone Wars DVD release is a pending announcement, though we're not sure if both "seasons" will be included or first only. More soon!

Sounds GREAT!!

Yeah, that's great news if it's true. I hope there are more toys as well. It would make a nice bridge between all the OTC stuff and Ep. III.

I'm going to go ahead and leave this one separate from the other Clone Wars thread. They are different seasons, and this is still only rumor.

I hope it's true, though. I remember when the original Clone Wars was only rumor, too.

Didn't like the first two series but having some more doesn't hurt, I can ignore them from Star Wars continuity, and it'll be an extra Star Wars DVD for me to pic up :crazed:! I'll probably watch them, but they're not my cup of tea :).

Man you better not be wrong. Although the end of season 2 seemed to have a good amount of closure though.

That's awesome! Hopefully series 3 & 4 will be at least as good, or better than the first two.

Sounds Awesome to me, I just hope that this means we will be getting a massive DVD set and more animated figures.

Well... it's actually just Season Three... no Four. Considering the timeline the planned for the series, the end of this will still leave us a good amount of time away from Episode III. The new book that's coming out in February is supposed to lead into Episode III... so I guess we'll see what happens! Very cool news.

I was surprised how much I liked the first two "season" (really the first season was one Episode and the Second season another.. But I digress) and can't wait to see more of the Clone Wars. I hope it is tuuer in that they may be longer episodes as well.

I loved the first 20 episodes so I'm definately on board for any new installments.

I'll really be happy if this leads to us getting a figure of Obi-Wan in Clone Trooper armor.

I thought the previous CW series did a much better job at depicting the might of the Jedis and Anakin's legendary piloting skills than either PT movie did, so I'm looking forward to more.

I've retitled the thread to more accurately reflect the situation.

BTW, waiting another year for these is probably NOT a good idea, eps 11-20 were in a timely fashion which let them ride the momentum of the first series. The longer eps are a better thing, but I think only 5 eps total is not enough even if it does double the run of the series (eps 1 through 20 run only an hour total, so will these 5 eps).

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!
What about that Mace ep, though?! From season 2.

The Mace from season 2 was a bit over the top for me, even for a cartoon.

I agree KH, it was funny to see Mace jump like he was the Hulk!:D
